ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 53

1 ੧ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਮਹਲਥ ਦੇ ਰਾਗ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਮੂਰਖ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ! ਉਹ ਵਿਗੜ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ, ਭਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ।

To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, [A Psalm] of David. The fool hath said in his heart, [There is] no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: [there is] none that doeth good.

2 ੨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਆਦਮ ਵੰਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵੇਖੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਖੋਜ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ?

God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were [any] that did understand, that did seek God.

3 ੩ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸਭ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਫਿਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਕੋਈ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ!

Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; [there is] none that doeth good, no, not one.

4 ੪ ਭਲਾ, ਇਹ ਕੁਕਰਮੀ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦੇ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੈਂਦੇ?

Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people [as] they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

5 ੫ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਭੈਅ ਖਾਧਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਭੈਅ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਅਧਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੰਡਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਛਾਉਣੀ ਪਾਈ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

There were they in great fear, [where] no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth [against] thee: thou hast put [them] to shame, because God hath despised them.

6 ੬ ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਓ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲੇ! ਜਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਵੇਗਾ, ਤਦ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਬਾਗ-ਬਾਗ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

Oh that the salvation of Israel [were come] out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, [and] Israel shall be glad.
