ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 149

1 ੧ ਹਲਲੂਯਾਹ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਓ, ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਭਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰੋ!

Praise Adonai! Sing to Adonai a new song, his tehilah ·praise song· in the assembly of the saints.

2 ੨ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਵੇ, ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਗ-ਬਾਗ ਹੋਣ।

Let Israel [God prevails] rejoice in him who made them. Let the children of Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking] be joyful in their King.

3 ੩ ਓਹ ਨੱਚਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਨ, ਅਤੇ ਤਬਲਾ ਤੇ ਸਿਤਾਰ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ ਗਾਉਣ!

Let them praise his name in the dance! Let them sing zahmar ·musical praise· to him with tambourine and harp!

4 ੪ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨਾਲ ਖੁਸ਼ ਜੋ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮਸਕੀਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਤਹ ਨਾਲ ਸਿੰਗਾਰੇਗਾ,

For Adonai takes pleasure in his people. He crowns the humble with yishu'ah ·salvation·.

5 ੫ ਸੰਤ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਗ-ਬਾਗ ਹੋਣ, ਓਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਛਾਉਣਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੈਕਾਰਾ ਗਜਾਉਣ!

Let the saints rejoice in kavod ·weighty glory·. Let them sing for joy on their beds.

6 ੬ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਡਿਆਈਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਣ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਧਾਰੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ,

May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a two-edged sword in their hand;

7 ੭ ਕਿ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ, ਅਤੇ ਉੱਮਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕੀਂ ਦੇਣ,

To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;

8 ੮ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਗਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ, ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਤਵੰਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਹੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੇੜੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਣ,

To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 ੯ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਫ਼ਤਵੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਚਲਾਉਣ, - ਇਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਣ ਹੈ। ਹਲਲੂਯਾਹ!
