ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 141
1 ੧ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਭਜਨ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਛੇਤੀ ਕਰ, ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਤੇ ਕੰਨ ਲਾ!
A Psalm of David. LORD, I cry to thee: make haste to me; give ear to my voice, when I cry to thee.
Let my prayer be set forth before thee [as] incense; [and] the lifting up of my hands [as] the evening sacrifice.
Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.
4 ੪ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਬੁਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਮੋੜ, ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਕਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਗ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਵਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦਲੇ ਭੋਜਨ ਤੋਂ ਖਾਣ ਨਾ ਦੇ!
Incline not my heart to [any] evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.
5 ੫ ਧਰਮੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੇ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਦਯਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਬਕਾਵੇ, ਉਹ ਸਿਰ ਲਈ ਤੇਲ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੁਰਿਆਈਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ।
Let the righteous smite me; [it shall be] a kindness: and let him reprove me; [it shall be] an excellent oil, [which] shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also [shall be] in their calamities.
When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.
7 ੭ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੂਮੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੱਕੜ ਵੱਢੇ ਤੇ ਚੀਰੇ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਪਤਾਲ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਖਿੰਡਾਈਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। (Sheol h7585)
Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth [wood] upon the earth. (Sheol h7585)
But my eyes [are] to thee, O GOD the LORD: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.
Keep me from the snare [which] they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.
Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst I escape.
