1 ੧ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਨਾ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਘਮੰਡ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਸਨ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਖ਼ਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ।
“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up. Of David.” O LORD! my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty; I employ not myself on great things, or things too wonderful for me!
2 ੨ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਅਤੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੁੱਧ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਬਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈ, ਹਾਂ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਦੁੱਧ ਛੁਡਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਬਾਲਕ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੈ।
Yea, I have stilled and quieted my soul As a weaned child upon his mother; My soul within me is like a weaned child.
O Israel! trust in the LORD, Henceforth even for ever!
