ਜ਼ਬੂਰ 122

1 ੧ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦ ਓਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, ਆਓ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੀਏ!

A Song of Degrees. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

2 ੨ ਹੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ, ਸਾਡੇ ਪੈਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹਨ।

Our feet stood in thy courts, O Jerusalem.

3 ੩ ਹੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ,

Jerusalem is built as a city whose fellowship is complete.

4 ੪ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਗੋਤ, ਹਾਂ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਸਾਖੀ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਓਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਨ।

For thither the tribes went up, the tribes of the Lord, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.

5 ੫ ਉੱਥੇ ਤਾਂ ਨਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ, ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਰੱਖੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।

For there are set thrones for judgment, [even] thrones for the house of David.

6 ੬ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਮਤੀ ਮੰਗੋ, ਤੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮੀ ਨਿਹਾਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

Pray now for the peace of Jerusalem: and [let there be] prosperity to them that love thee.

7 ੭ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਲਾਮਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤੇਰੇ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲੀ ਨਿਹਾਲਤਾ!

Let peace, I pray, be within thine host, and prosperity in thy palaces.

8 ੮ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਖਾਂਗਾ, ਤੇਰੀ ਸਲਾਮਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ!

For the sake of my brethren and my neighbours, I have indeed spoken peace concerning thee.

9 ੯ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਦਾ ਖੋਜੀ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ।

Because of the house of the Lord our God, I have diligently sought thy good.
