ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ 11
1 ੧ ਜਦ ਹਾਸੋਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਯਾਬੀਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਦੋਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਯੋਬਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਮਰੋਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਕਸ਼ਾਫ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
And it comes to pass, when Jabin king of Hazor hears, that he sends to Jobab king of Madon, and to the king of Shimron, and to the king of Achshaph,
2 ੨ ਨਾਲੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਕਿੰਨਰਥ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਲਹਿੰਦੇ ਵੱਲ ਦੋਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਚਿਆਈਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ।
and to the kings who [are] on the north in the hill-country, and in the plain south of Chinneroth, and in the low country, and in the elevations of Dor, on the west,
3 ੩ ਨਾਲੇ ਕਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਛਮ ਵੱਲ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੋਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰਿੱਜ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਯਬੂਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਿੱਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹਰਮੋਨ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਮਿਸਪਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ।
[to] the Canaanite on the east, and on the west, and the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the hill-country, and the Hivite under Hermon, in the land of Mizpeh—
4 ੪ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿੱਕਲੀਆਂ। ਉਹ ਢੇਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਦੀ ਰੇਤ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਸਨ ਨਾਲੇ ਘੋੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਥ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਸਨ।
and they go out, they and all their camps with them, a people numerous, as the sand which [is] on the seashore for multitude, and [with] very many horse and charioteer;
5 ੫ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੋਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਡੇਰੇ ਲਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ।
and all these kings are met together, and they come and encamp together at the waters of Merom, to fight with Israel.
6 ੬ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਨਾ ਡਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਭਲਕੇ ਇਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਰਵਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ! ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਾਗਾਂ ਵੱਢੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੱਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਾੜੇਂਗਾ।
And YHWH says to Joshua, “Do not be afraid of their presence, for about this time tomorrow I am giving all of them slain before Israel; hamstring their horses, and burn their chariots with fire.”
And Joshua comes, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom, and they suddenly fall on them;
8 ੮ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸੀਦੋਨ ਤੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰਫ਼ੋਥ-ਮਇਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਪੇਹ ਦੀ ਘਾਟੀ ਤੱਕ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ।
and YHWH gives them into the hand of Israel, and they strike them and pursue them to the great Sidon, and to Misrephoth-Maim, and to the Valley of Mizpeh eastward, and they strike them, until he has not left a remnant to them;
9 ੯ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਿਆਂ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਾੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੱਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
and Joshua does to them as YHWH commanded to him; he has hamstrung their horses, and burned their chariots with fire.
10 ੧੦ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਮੁੜ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਸੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹਾਸੋਰ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਸੀ।
And Joshua turns back at that time, and captures Hazor, and he has struck its king by the sword; for Hazor [was] formerly head of all these kingdoms;
11 ੧੧ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਤਿਆਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ। ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹਾਸੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਨਾਲ ਸਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।
and they strike every person who [is] in it by the mouth of the sword; he has devoted—he has not left anyone breathing, and he has burned Hazor with fire;
12 ੧੨ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਫੜ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਕੇ ਸੱਤਿਆਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
and all the cities of these kings, and all their kings, Joshua has captured, and he strikes them by the mouth of the sword; he devoted them, as Moses, servant of YHWH, commanded.
13 ੧੩ ਇਕੱਲੇ ਹਾਸੋਰ ਤੋਂ ਛੁੱਟ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਵੱਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਸਾੜਿਆ।
Only, all the cities which are standing by their hill, Israel has not burned them—except Joshua has burned Hazor, only;
14 ੧੪ ਅਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਲੁੱਟ ਅਤੇ ਡੰਗਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਖੋਹ ਲਏ ਪਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਧਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ।
and all the spoil of these cities, and the livestock, the sons of Israel have spoiled for themselves; only, they have struck every man by the mouth of the sword, until their destroying them; they have not left anyone breathing.
15 ੧੫ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਾ ਛੱਡੀ।
As YHWH commanded His servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and so Joshua has done; he has not turned aside a thing of all that YHWH commanded Moses.
16 ੧੬ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੇਸ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਇਹ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੇਸ, ਸਾਰਾ ਦੱਖਣ, ਗੋਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੇਸ, ਬੇਟ, ਮੈਦਾਨ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੇਸ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਬੇਟ।
And Joshua takes all this land: the hill-country, and all the south, and all the land of Goshen, and the low country, and the plain, even the hill-country of Israel and its low lands,
17 ੧੭ ਹਾਲਾਕ ਨਾਮੀ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੇਈਰ ਵੱਲ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਾ ਹੈ, ਬਆਲ ਗਾਦ ਤੱਕ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਲਬਾਨੋਨ ਦੀ ਘਾਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰਮੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਦੇ ਹੇਠ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
from the Mount of Halak, which is going up [to] Seir, and to Ba‘al-Gad, in the Valley of Lebanon, under Mount Hermon; and he has captured all their kings, and he strikes them, and puts them to death.
Joshua has made war with all these kings [for] many days;
19 ੧੯ ਹਿੱਵੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁੱਟ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗਿਬਓਨ ਦੇ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਸਨ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯੁੱਧ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਿਆ।
there has not been a city which made peace with the sons of Israel except the Hivite, inhabitants of Gibeon; they have taken the whole in battle;
20 ੨੦ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਕਠੋਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਤਿਆਨਾਸ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਦਯਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਪਰ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰੇ।
for it has been from YHWH to strengthen their heart, to meet in battle with Israel, in order to devote them, so that they have no grace, but in order to destroy them, as YHWH commanded Moses.
21 ੨੧ ਫਿਰ ਉਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਆਣ ਕੇ ਅਨਾਕੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹਬਰੋਨ, ਦਬੀਰ, ਅਨਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੇਸ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਲੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੱਤਿਆਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।
And Joshua comes at that time, and cuts off the Anakim from the hill-country, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the hill-country of Judah, and from all the hill-country of Israel; Joshua has devoted them with their cities.
22 ੨੨ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਅਨਾਕੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਕੇਵਲ ਅੱਜ਼ਾਹ, ਗਥ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਝ ਬਾਕੀ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ।
There has not been Anakim left in the land of the sons of Israel; only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, were they left.
23 ੨੩ ਸੋ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਦੇਸ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੂਸਾ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਲਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਮਿਲਖ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਯੁੱਧ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਾਮ ਮਿਲਿਆ।
And Joshua takes the whole of the land, according to all that YHWH has spoken to Moses, and Joshua gives it for an inheritance to Israel according to their divisions, by their tribes; and the land has rest from war.
