ਯੂਹੰਨਾ 7
1 ੧ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਗਲੀਲ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਦੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
After these things, Yeshua [Salvation] was walking in Galilee [District, Circuit], for he would not walk in Judea [Praise], because the Jews [Praisers] sought to kill him.
Now the festival of Sukkot ·Tabernacles·, the Festival of Booths, was at hand. (The seventh month Ethanim ·Ever-flowing durable stream (in Hebrew), 7· or Tishrei ·[Beginning (in Babylonian)]· 15th day).
3 ੩ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੁਣ ਤੂੰ ਚੱਲ ਕੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਵੇਖਣ,
His brothers therefore said to him, “Depart from here, and go into Judea [Praise], that your disciples also may see your works which you do.
4 ੪ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਣ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੁਕੋਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵੇਖਣ ਦੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕੰਮ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ।”
For no one does anything in secret, and himself seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world.”
For even his brothers didn’t trust in him.
6 ੬ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹਾਲੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਠੀਕ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਸਮਾਂ ਠੀਕ ਹੈ।
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore said to them, “My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready.
7 ੭ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ। ਪਰ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੈਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੁਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The world can’t hate you, but it hates me, because I testify about it, that its works are evil.
You go up to the feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, because my time is not yet fulfilled.”
Having said these things to them, he stayed in Galilee [District, Circuit].
10 ੧੦ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਤੇ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਯਿਸੂ ਵੀ ਚਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਗੁਪਤ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਗਿਆ।
But when his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly, but as it were in secret.
The Jews [Praisers] therefore sought him at the feast, and said, “Where is he?”
12 ੧੨ ਉੱਥੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੀੜ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਸੀ, ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਆਖ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, “ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ।” ਕੁਝ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਮਰਾਹ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”
There was much murmuring among the multitudes concerning him. Some said, “He is a good man.” Others said, “Not so, but he leads the multitude astray.”
13 ੧੩ ਪਰ ਇੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਲੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਆਮ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
Yet no one spoke openly of him for fear of the Jews [Praisers].
But when it was now the middle of the feast, Yeshua [Salvation] went up into the temple and taught.
15 ੧੫ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਮੰਨ ਕੇ ਬੋਲੇ, “ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਪਾਠਸ਼ਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ?”
The Jews [Praisers] therefore marveled, saying, “How does this man know so much, without having studied?”
16 ੧੬ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ “ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਮੈਂ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ।
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore answered them, “My teaching is not mine, but his who sent me.
17 ੧੭ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮਝੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਿਖਿਆਵਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹਨ ਜਾਂ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ।
If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God, or if I am speaking from myself.
18 ੧੮ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਜਿਹੜਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਗਲਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no sinfulness ·legal injustice that misses the mark and is without share in the goal· is in him.
19 ੧੯ ਕੀ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦਾ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਣ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਹੋ?”
Didn’t Moses [Drawn out] give you the Torah ·Teaching·? Yet none of you keeps Torah ·Teaching·! Why do you seek to kill me?”
The multitude answered, “You have a demon! Who seeks to kill you?”
Yeshua [Salvation] answered them, “I did one work, and you all marvel because of it.
22 ੨੨ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਮੂਸਾ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਈ, ਇਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਈ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੂਸਾ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਵਾਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।
Moses [Drawn out] has given you circumcision (not that it is of Moses [Drawn out], but of the Patriarchs), and on the Sabbath ·To cease· you circumcise a boy.
23 ੨੩ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਲਈ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਨਤ, ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਵੀ, ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ?
If a boy receives circumcision on the Sabbath ·To cease·, that the Torah ·Teaching· of Moses [Drawn out] may not be broken, are you angry with me, because I made a man completely healthy on the Sabbath ·To cease·?
Don’t judge according to appearance, but judge upright judgment.”
25 ੨੫ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਹ ਉਹੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਗੂ ਮਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
Therefore some of them of Jerusalem [City of peace] said, “Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
26 ੨੬ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਖੁੱਲੇ-ਆਮ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲਣ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕ ਰਿਹਾ। ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
Behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Can it be that the rulers indeed know that this is truly the Messiah [Anointed one]?
27 ੨੭ ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸਲੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ?”
However we know where this man comes from, but when the Messiah [Anointed one] comes, no one will know where he comes from.”
28 ੨੮ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਚਨ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ।
Yeshua [Salvation] therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, “You both know me, and know where I am from. I have not come of myself, but he who sent me is true, whom you don’t know.
I know him, because I am from him, and he sent me.”
30 ੩੦ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਨਾ ਸਕਿਆ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਠੀਕ ਸਮਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
They sought therefore to take him; but no one laid a hand on him, because his hour had not yet come.
31 ੩੧ ਪਰ ਕਈਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਇਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵਧ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ?”
But of the multitude, many trusted in him. They said, “When the Messiah [Anointed one] comes, he won’t do more signs than those which this man has done, will he?”
32 ੩੨ ਜਦੋਂ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ, ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਹੈਕਲ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਫੜਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
The Pharisees [Separated] heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him, and the chief priests and the Pharisees [Separated] sent officers to arrest him.
33 ੩੩ ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹਾਂ, ਅਜੇ ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ ਚਿਰ ਹੋਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ, ਫਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ।
Then Yeshua [Salvation] said, “I will be with you a little while longer, then I go to him who sent me.
You will seek me, and won’t find me; and where I am, you can’t come.”
35 ੩੫ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਭਲਾ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ? ਕੀ ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ? ਕੀ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਯੂਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਨਾਉਣ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ?
The Jews [Praisers] therefore said among themselves, “Where will this man go that we won’t find him? Will he go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
36 ੩੬ ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਭੋਗੇ ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕੋਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦੇ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੋਇਆ?”
What is this word that he said, ‘You will seek me, and won’t find me; and where I am, you can’t come’?”
37 ੩੭ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਅੰਤਿਮ ਦਿਨ ਆਇਆ ਇਹ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਖ਼ਾਸ ਦਿਨ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਪਿਆਸਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਆ ਕੇ ਪੀਵੇ।
Now on the last day of the festival (of Tabernacles, the seventh day called Hoshana Rabbah ·Save now Great·, the seventh month Ethanim ·Ever-flowing durable stream (in Hebrew), 7· or Tishrei ·[Beginning (in Babylonian)]· 21st day)), Yeshua [Salvation] stood and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink!
Whoever puts his trust in me, as the Scripture says, rivers of living water will flow from his inmost being!”
39 ੩੯ ਯਿਸੂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਸਕਣਗੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਆਤਮਾ ਹਾਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਾਲੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਲਈ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਗਿਆ।
But he said this about the Ruach ·Spirit, Breath·, which those trusting in him were to receive. For the Holy Ruach ·Spirit, Breath· was not yet given, because Yeshua [Salvation] was not yet glorified.
Many of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, “This is truly the prophet.”
Others said, “This is the Messiah [Anointed one].” But some said, “What, does the Messiah [Anointed one] come out of Galilee [District, Circuit]?
42 ੪੨ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਸੀਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ, ਦੀ ਨਗਰੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ?”
Has not the Scripture said that the Messiah [Anointed one] comes of the offspring of David [Beloved], and from Bethlehem [House of Bread], the village where David [Beloved] lived?”
So there arose a division in the multitude because of him.
Some of them would have arrested him, but no one laid hands on him.
45 ੪੫ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੈਕਲ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਰੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ?”
The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees [Separated], and they said to them, “Why didn’t you bring him?”
The officers answered, “No man ever spoke like this man!”
The Pharisees [Separated] therefore answered them, “You are not also led astray, are you?
Have any of the rulers trusted in him, or of the Pharisees [Separated]?
True, these 'am-ha'aretz ·people of the land· do, but they know nothing about the Torah ·Teaching·, they are under a curse!”
Nicodemus [Victory people] (he who came to him by night, being one of the Pharisees [Separated]) said to them,
“Our Torah ·Teaching· does not condemn a man, does it, until after hearing from him personally and finding out what he’s doing?”
They answered him, “Are you also from Galilee [District, Circuit]? Search, and see that no prophet has arisen out of Galilee [District, Circuit].”
53 ੫੩ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਪੜ੍ਹੋ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਨਬੀ ਗਲੀਲ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ,” ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਗੂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ।
Everyone went to his own house.
