ਯੂਹੰਨਾ 15
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 ੨ ਹਰ ਉਹ ਟਹਿਣੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀ, ਉਹ ਵੱਡ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਹਰ ਟਹਿਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਛਾਂਗਦਾ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਫਲ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਾ ਫਲ ਦੇਵੇ।
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh away; and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he cleaneth it, that it my bring forth more fruit.
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken to you.
4 ੪ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਟਹਿਣੀ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਅੰਗੂਰ ਦੀ ਵੇਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਰਹੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਫਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸਕਦੀ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੋਂਗੇ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਫਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ।
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine: no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 ੫ “ਅੰਗੂਰ ਦੀ ਵੇਲ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਹੋ। ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਫਲ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਲਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ।”
I am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6 ੬ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ, ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਟਹਿਣੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾੜ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
If a man abideth not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered: and men gather them, and cast [them] into the fire, and they are burned.
7 ੭ “ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੋ ਸੋ ਮੰਗੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye may ask what ye will, and it shall be done to you.
8 ੮ ਇਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਹੁਤਾ ਫਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਓ, ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ।
In this is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9 ੯ “ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣੇ ਰਹੋ।”
As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10 ੧੦ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੋਂਗੇ।
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11 ੧੧ “ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ।”
These things have I spoken to you, that my joy may remain in you, and [that] your joy may be full.
12 ੧੨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੈ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰੋ।
This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatever I command you.
15 ੧੫ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਦਾਸ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਦਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿ ਉਸਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਕੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਬੁਲਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
16 ੧੬ “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਫਲਦਾਰ ਹੋ ਸਕੋ। ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਫਲ ਸਦਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਗੋਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇ।”
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18 ੧੮ ਜੇਕਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਕਿ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
If the world hateth you, ye know that it hated me before [it hated] you.
19 ੧੯ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਵਾਗੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੀ। ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਇਸੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੋਂ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ।
If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 ੨੦ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ: ਇੱਕ ਦਾਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਜੇਕਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਜੇਕਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਿਆ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਣਗੇ।
Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21 ੨੧ ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਨਗੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ।
But all these things will they do to you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 ੨੨ ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਨਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਬਹਾਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।
If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.
24 ੨੪ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ। ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦੇ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵੇਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ, ਇਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ ਵੈਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
If I had not done among them the works which no other man hath done, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen, and hated both me and my Father.
25 ੨੫ ਪਰ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੋ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੱਚ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ। “ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕੀਤੀ।”
But [this cometh to pass], that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 ੨੬ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਿਤਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਭੇਜਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਸੱਚ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਵੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from the Father, he will testify concerning me.
And ye also shall bear testimony, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
