ਅੱਯੂਬ 25

1 ੧ ਤਦ ਬਿਲਦਦ ਸ਼ੂਹੀ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ,

Then Bildad the Shuhite replied:

2 ੨ “ਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਅ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਕਾਇਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

“Dominion and awe belong to God; He establishes harmony in the heights of heaven.

3 ੩ ਕੀ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਫੌਜਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ?

Can His troops be numbered? On whom does His light not rise?

4 ੪ ਫੇਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਠਹਿਰ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?

How then can a man be just before God? How can one born of woman be pure?

5 ੫ ਵੇਖ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਚਮਕ ਨਹੀਂ, ਅਤੇ ਤਾਰੇ ਵੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਦੇ।

If even the moon does not shine, and the stars are not pure in His sight,

6 ੬ ਫੇਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੀੜਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ, ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਰਮ ਹੀ ਹੈ?”

how much less man, who is but a maggot, and the son of man, who is but a worm!”
