ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ 11
The worde that came to Ieremiah from the Lord, saying,
Heare ye the wordes of this couenant, and speake vnto the men of Iudah, and to the inhabitants of Ierusalem,
3 ੩ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਐਉਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਰਾਪ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਸ ਨੇਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਦਾ!
And say thou vnto them, Thus sayeth the Lord God of Israel, Cursed be the man that obeyeth not the wordes of this couenant,
4 ੪ ਜਿਹ ਦਾ ਮੈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਹਾਂ, ਲੋਹੇ ਦੀ ਭੱਠੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜਿਹ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੋਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ
Which I commanded vnto your fathers, when I brought them out of the lande of Egypt, from the yron fornace, saying, Obey my voyce, and doe according to all these things, which I commande you: so shall ye be my people, and I will be your God,
5 ੫ ਭਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਸਹੁੰ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਖਾਧੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਦੇਸ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਵਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹਾ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ। ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਆਮੀਨ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ!।
That I may confirme the othe, that I haue sworne vnto your fathers, to giue them a lande, which floweth with milke and hony, as appeareth this day. Then answered I and sayde, So be it, O Lord.
6 ੬ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਚੌਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਡੌਂਡੀ ਪਿੱਟਵਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੇਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੋ
Then the Lord saide vnto me, Cry all these words in the cities of Iudah, and in the streetes of Ierusalem, saying, Heare yee the words of this couenant, and doe them.
7 ੭ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਤਗੀਦ ਨਾਲ ਚਿਤਾਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੜਕੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿਤਾਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣੋ!
For I haue protested vnto your fathers, whe I brought them vp out of the land of Egypt vnto this day, rising earely and protesting, saying, Obey my voyce.
8 ੮ ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਸੁਣਿਆ, ਨਾ ਕੰਨ ਲਾਇਆ। ਹਰੇਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਅੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੇਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਆਂਦੀਆਂ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ
Neuerthelesse they would not obey, nor encline their eare: but euery one walked in the stubbernesse of his wicked heart: therefore I will bring vpon them all the wordes of this couenant, which I commanded them to do, but they did it not.
And the Lord sayd vnto me, A conspiracie is found among the men of Iudah, and among the inhabitants of Ierusalem.
10 ੧੦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੁਰਿਆਈਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਫਿਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ। ਉਹ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਗਏ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨੇਮ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਸੀ
They are turned backe to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to heare my wordes: and they went after other gods to serue them: thus the house of Israel, and the house of Iudah haue broken my couenant, which I made with their fathers.
11 ੧੧ ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਦੀ ਲਿਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਨਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਚਿੱਲਾਉਣ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣਾਂਗਾ
Therefore thus sayth the Lord, Beholde, I will bring a plague vpon them, which they shall not be able to escape, and though they crye vnto me, I will not heare them.
12 ੧੨ ਤਦ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਚਿੱਲਾਉਣਗੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਲੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਚਾ ਨਾ ਸਕਣਗੇ
Then shall the cities of Iudah, and the inhabitants of Ierusalem goe, and crie vnto the gods vnto whome they offer incense, but they shall not bee able to helpe them in time of their trouble.
13 ੧੩ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਹੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ, ਤੇਰੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਚੌਂਕ ਹਨ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਓਨੀਆਂ ਗਿਣਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਲਈ ਬਣਾ ਲਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਭਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਆਲ ਲਈ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਓ।
For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Iudah, and according to the number of the streetes of Ierusalem haue yee set vp altars of confusion, euen altars to burne incense vnto Baal.
14 ੧੪ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਪਰਜਾ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਨਾ ਕਰ, ਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਤਰਲਾ ਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਚੁੱਕ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੁਕਾਰਨਗੇ
Therfore thou shalt not pray for this people, neither lift vp a crie, or prayer for them: for when they cry vnto mee in their trouble, I will not heare them.
15 ੧੫ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਾ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਕੰਮ ਜਦ ਉਸ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਕਰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਮਾਸ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ? ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਬਦੀ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਬਾਗ-ਬਾਗ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈਂ
What shoulde my beloued tarie in mine house, seeing they haue committed abomination with manie? and the holy flesh goeth away from thee: yet when thou doest euill, thou reioycest.
16 ੧੬ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਐਉਂ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ, “ਇੱਕ ਹਰਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਹਣਾ ਫਲਦਾਇਕ ਜ਼ੈਤੂਨ” ਪਰ ਵੱਡੇ ਰੌਲ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਲਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਤੋੜੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ
The Lord called thy name, A greene oliue tree, faire, and of goodly fruite: but with noyse and great tumult he hath set fyre vpon it, and the branches of it are broken.
17 ੧੭ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਲਾਇਆ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਦੀ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਸ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਆਲ ਲਈ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਈ।
For the Lord of hostes that planted thee, hath pronounced a plague against thee, for the wickednes of the house of Israel, and of the house of Iudah, which they haue done against themselues to prouoke me to anger in offering incense vnto Baal.
And the Lord hath taught me, and I knowe it, euen then thou shewedst mee their practises.
19 ੧੯ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਅਸੀਲ ਲੇਲੇ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਸੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕੱਟੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮਤੇ ਪਕਾਏ ਸਨ, ਕਿ ਆਓ, ਅਤੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਫਲ ਸਣੇ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰ ਦੇਈਏ, ਆਓ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟੀਏ, ਭਈ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਚੇਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ!
But I was like a lambe, or a bullocke, that is brought to the slaughter, and I knewe not that they had deuised thus against me, saying, Let vs destroy the tree with the fruite thereof, and cut him out of the lande of the liuing, that his name may be no more in memory.
20 ੨੦ ਪਰ ਹੇ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਦਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਾਂਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਾਵਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ।
But O Lord of hostes, that iudgest righteously, and triest the reines and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for vnto thee haue I opened my cause.
21 ੨੧ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਅਨਾਥੋਥ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਕ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਮਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਂ!
The Lord therefore speaketh thus of the men of Anathoth, (that seeke thy life, and say, Prophecie not in the Name of the Lord, that thou die not by our hands)
22 ੨੨ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, - ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ! ਜੁਆਨ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਕਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਨਗੇ
Thus therefore sayth the Lord of hostes, Beholde, I will visite them: the yong men shall die by the sword: their sonnes and their daughters shall die by famine,
23 ੨੩ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਬਚੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਅਨਾਥੋਥ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਦੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਸਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ।
And none of them shall remaine: for I will bring a plague vpon the men of Anathoth, euen the yeere of their visitation.
