ਯਾਕੂਬ 1
1 ੧ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਦਾਸ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਭਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿੰਡੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ; ਸੁੱਖ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
James of God and of [the] Lord Jesus Christ a servant To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion Greeting.
All joy do esteem [it], brothers of mine, when trials you may fall into various,
knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance;
4 ੪ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਲੈਣ ਦੇਵੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਘਾਟਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
And endurance work [its] perfect should have, so that you may be perfect and complete in nothing lacking.
5 ੫ ਪਰ ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੁੱਧ ਦਾ ਘਾਟਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੰਗੇ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਲਾਂਭੇ ਦੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੰਗਦੇ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
If now any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask from the [One] giving God to all generously and (not *NK(o)*) finding fault, and it will be given to him.
6 ੬ ਪਰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਭਰਮ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਭਰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਹਵਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਗਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਛਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
he should ask however in faith nothing doubting; The [one] for doubting he has been likened to a wave of [the] sea being blown by the wind and being tossed by the wind.
Not for should suppose the man that that he will receive anything from the Lord;
[He is] a man double-minded unstable in all the ways of him.
should boast however the brother of low degree in the exaltation of him,
he who [is] then rich in the humiliation of him because like a flower of grass he will pass away.
11 ੧੧ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਤੇਜ ਧੁੱਪ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਘਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਕਾ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਫੁੱਲ ਵੀ ਝੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਦੀ ਸੁੰਦਰਤਾ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ। ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਚਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਮਲਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
Has risen for the sun with [its] burning heat and withered the grass and the flower of it has fallen and the beauty of the appearance of it has perished; Thus also the rich [man] in the midst of the pursuits of him will fade away.
12 ੧੨ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਤਾਵੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਿ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਖਰਾ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਮੁਕਟ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Blessed [is the] man who endures trial, because approved having been he will receive the crown of life that He has promised (the Lord *K*) to those loving Him.
13 ੧੩ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਤਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਨਾ ਆਖੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪਰਤਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਤਾਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਤਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
No one being tempted should say that By (*k*) God I am being tempted; For God unable to be tempted is by evils, tempts now He Himself no [one];
A man however is tempted by the own desire being drawn away and being enticed;
15 ੧੫ ਫੇਰ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Then desire having conceived it gives birth to sin, and sin having become fully grown it brings forth death.
Not do be misled, brothers of mine beloved;
17 ੧੭ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਬਦਲਾਵ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਅਦਲ-ਬਦਲ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਪਰਛਾਵਾਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Every act of giving good and every gift perfect from above is coming down from the Father of lights with whom not there is variation or of shifting shadow.
18 ੧੮ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਨਾਲ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਚਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫਲ ਜਿਹੇ ਹੋਈਏ।
Having willed [it] He brought forth us by [the] word of truth, for to be us firstfruits a certain of His creatures.
19 ੧੯ ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਲਵੋ ਕਿ ਹਰੇਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਜ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੀਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਧੀਮਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
(You should know *N(K)O*) brothers of mine beloved; should be (however *no*) every man swift unto to hear, slow unto to speak, slow unto anger.
[the] anger for of man [the] righteousness of God not (works. *N(k)O*)
21 ੨੧ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹਰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਗੰਦ-ਮੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਵੈਰ-ਵਿਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਬੀਜੇ ਹੋਏ ਬਚਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਮਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰ ਲਵੋ।
Therefore having put aside all filthiness and excess of wickedness in humility do receive the implanted word which is being able to save the souls of you.
do be however doers of [the] word and not only hearers deceiving yourselves.
23 ੨੩ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬਚਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਮਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਸਲੀ ਸਰੂਪ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
because if anyone a hearer of [the] word is and not a doer, this one has been likened to a man looking at the face the natural of him in a mirror;
he has viewed for himself and has gone away and immediately he has forgotten what like he was.
25 ੨੫ ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਗ਼ੌਰ ਨਾਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਧੰਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਭੁੱਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਅਮਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The [one] however having looked intently into [the] law perfect that of freedom and having continued in [it], (this *k*) not a hearer forgetful having been but a doer of [the] work — this one blessed in the work to be done by him will be.
26 ੨੬ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਭਗਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸਮਝੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਮ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਦੇਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਭਗਤੀ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ।
If anyone seems religious to be (among you *K*) not bridling [the] tongue (of him *NK(o)*) but deceiving [the] heart (of him, *NK(o)*) of this one worthless [is] the religion.
27 ੨੭ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਭਗਤੀ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਨਾਥਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਧਵਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਸੁੱਧ ਲੈਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਦਾਗ ਰੱਖਣਾ।
Religion pure and undefiled before the God and Father this is, to visit orphans and widows in the tribulation of them, unstained oneself to keep from the world.
