ਯਸਾਯਾਹ 33
1 ੧ ਹਾਏ ਲੁਟੇਰਿਆ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ, ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਲੁੱਟਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਆ! ਹਾਏ ਠੱਗਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਠੱਗਿਆ! ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਲੁੱਟ ਚੁੱਕੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਲੁੱਟਿਆ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ, ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਠੱਗ ਹਟੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਠੱਗਣਗੇ!
Woe to thee that wastest, while thou wast not wasted; and traitor, while men dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt have made an end of wasting, thou shalt be wasted, and when thou shalt have finished to deal treacherously, men shall deal treacherously with thee.
2 ੨ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ! ਅਸੀਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਡੀਕਦੇ ਹਾਂ, ਹਰ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡਾ ਬਲ ਹੋ, ਨਾਲੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਬਚਾਓ।
O Lord, be gracious; we have waited for thee: be thou their support every morning, also our salvation in the time of trouble.
At the noise of [thy] thunder people fled; when thou liftedst thyself up nations were scattered.
4 ੪ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਟਿੱਡੀਆਂ ਚੱਟ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਲੁੱਟ ਚੱਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਟਿੱਡੇ ਝਪੱਟਾ ਮਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਝੱਪਟਣਗੇ।
And your spoil shall be gathered as the cricket gathereth: as locusts run about, so shall people hasten after it.
The Lord is exalted; for he dwelleth on high; he hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness.
6 ੬ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀ ਬੁਨਿਆਦ ਮੁਕਤੀ, ਬੁੱਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਗਿਆਨ ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤਾਇਤ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਭੈਅ ਸਿਯੋਨ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
And the stability of thy times and the strength of thy happiness shall be wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the Lord is his treasure.
Behold, their valiant ones cry without: the ambassadors of peace weep bitterly.
8 ੮ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਮਾਰਗ ਵਿਰਾਨ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਕੋਈ ਲੰਘਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਨੇਮ ਤੋੜੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੁੱਛ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਿਸੇ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ।
The highways lie waste, ceased hath the wayfaring traveler: he hath broken the covenant, he despiseth cities, he regardeth not man.
9 ੯ ਦੇਸ ਸੋਗ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਾੜਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਲਬਾਨੋਨ ਘਬਰਾ ਕੇ ਕੁਮਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸ਼ਾਰੋਨ ਰੜੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਬਾਸ਼ਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਮਲ ਪੱਤੇ ਝਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਦੇ ਹਨ।
It mourneth, it languisheth—the land: Lebanon is ashamed, it is withered away; Sharon is become like a wilderness; and bereft of their fruits are Bashan and Carmel.
Now will I arise, saith the Lord; now will I raise myself; now will I lift myself up.
Ye shall be pregnant with hay, [and] ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath is a fire, which shall devour you.
And the people shall be burnt as lime: as cut-off thorns shall they blaze up in fire.
Hear, ye distant ones, what I have done; and acknowledge ye that are near my might.
14 ੧੪ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਪੀ ਡਰ ਗਏ, ਕਾਂਬੇ ਨੇ ਕਾਫ਼ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ ਲਿਆ, ਕੌਣ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭਸਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਅੱਗ ਕੋਲ ਟਿੱਕ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕੌਣ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਸਾੜੇ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
In Zion sinners are in dread; trembling hath seized on hypocrites. “Who among us shall abide with the devouring fire? who among us shall abide with everlasting burnings?”
15 ੧੫ ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਦਾ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਿੱਧੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਤੁੱਛ ਜਾਣਦਾ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਵਤ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਖਿੱਚਦਾ ਹੈ, ਖੂਨ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਨ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਨ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਵੇਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਮੀਟ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He that walketh in righteousness, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions, that shaketh his hands against taking hold of bribes, that stoppeth his ears against hearing of blood, and shutteth his eyes against looking on evil;
16 ੧੬ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਉੱਚਿਆਈਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੱਸੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹਗਾਰ ਚੱਟਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
He shall dwell on high; rocky strongholds shall be his refuge: his bread shall be given him; his water shall be sure.
The king in his beauty shall thy eyes behold: they shall see a far-off land.
18 ੧੮ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਉਸ ਬੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਭੈਅ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੋਚੇਗਾ, ਲੇਖਾ ਲੈਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ? ਲਗਾਨ ਵਸੂਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ? ਬੁਰਜ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ ਗਿਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ?
Thy heart shall meditate [on past] terror. “Where is who wrote down? where is he that weighed? where is he that counted the towers?”
19 ੧੯ ਤੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਘਮੰਡੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਵੇਖੇਂਗਾ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਇੱਕ ਗੁੱਝੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਤੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਓਪਰੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਬੁੱਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
The barbarous people shalt thou not see any more, the people of a speech too obscure to be understood, of a stammering tongue, without meaning.
20 ੨੦ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ, ਸਾਡੇ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਰਬਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਗਰ, ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣਗੀਆਂ, ਇੱਕ ਅਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਵਾਸ, ਇੱਕ ਤੰਬੂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪੁੱਟਿਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਕੀਲੇ ਕਦੀ ਉਖਾੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਰੱਸੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਤੋੜੀ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
Look on Zion, the town of our solemn assemblies; thy eyes shall see Jerusalem as an undisturbed residence, a tent that shall not be struck for removal; not one of the stakes of which shall ever be moved, and all the cords of which shall never be torn loose.
21 ੨੧ ਪਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਚੌੜੀਆਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਿਆ ਹਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਚੱਪੂਆਂ ਵਾਲੀ ਬੇੜੀ ਨਾ ਚੱਲੇਗੀ, ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨਾ ਲੰਘੇਗਾ।
But there will the Lord [show himself] mighty unto us, [in] a place of rivers and streams of ample breadth; wherein no oared galley shall go, and a gallant ship shall not pass thereby.
22 ੨੨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਨਿਆਈਂ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਵੇਗਾ।
For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us.
23 ੨੩ ਤੇਰੇ ਰੱਸੇ ਢਿੱਲੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਮਸਤੂਲ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਸ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ, ਨਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਉਡਾ ਸਕੇ। ਤਦ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਲੁੱਟ ਬਹੁਤਾਇਤ ਨਾਲ ਵੰਡੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ, ਅਤੇ ਲੰਗੜੇ ਵੀ ਲੁੱਟ ਲੁੱਟਣਗੇ।
Loose hang thy tacklings; they cannot well uphold strongly their mast, they cannot spread the sail. Then are divided booty and spoil in abundance, [even] the lame take the booty.
24 ੨੪ ਸਿਯੋਨ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵਾਸੀ ਨਾ ਆਖੇਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਦੀ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
And no inhabitant shall say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be one whose iniquity is forgiven.
