ਹੋਸ਼ੇਆ 10
1 ੧ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਹਰੀ ਭਰੀ ਵੇਲ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਫਲ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਿੰਨਾਂ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਵਧਿਆ, ਓਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਵਧਾਈਆਂ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਥੰਮ੍ਹ ਚੰਗੇ ਬਣਾਏ।
A luxuriant vine, is Israel, fruit, beseemeth him, —According to the abundance of his fruit, hath he brought abundance to the altars, according to the goodliness of his land, hath he made goodly statues.
2 ੨ ਉਹ ਦੋ ਦਿਲੇ ਹਨ, ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਨਗੇ, ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਸੁੱਟੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਥੰਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਛੱਡੇਗਾ।
Hypocritical is their heart, Now, shall they be held guilty, —He, will break down their altars, he will destroy their statutes.
For, now, will they say, We have no king, —for we revere not Yahweh, and what could, a king, do for us?
4 ੪ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਝੂਠੀਆਂ ਸੌਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਮ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸੋ ਨਿਆਂ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੇ ਪੌਦਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਖੇਤ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਗ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
They have spoken words, swearing falsely, in solemnizing a covenant, —therefore shall judgment, spring up like a poisonous plant, on the ridges of the field.
5 ੫ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਵਾਸੀ ਬੈਤ-ਆਵਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੱਛੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਕੰਬਣਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੋਗ ਕਰਨਗੇ, ਨਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁਜਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
About the calves of Beth-aven, will the inhabitant of Samaria be concerned, —for the people thereof, have mourned over it, and, the ascetics thereof, who, over it, used to exult, [shall mourn] for the glory thereof, because it hath departed therefrom.
6 ੬ ਨਾਲੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਝਗੜਾਲੂ ਰਾਜੇ ਲਈ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਖਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
Itself also, to Assyria, shall be borne along, as a present to a hostile king, —shame, shall Ephraim receive, that Israel, may be ashamed, of his own counsel.
Silenced is Samaria: her king, is as a chip on the face of the waters,
8 ੮ ਆਵਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਸਥਾਨ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ, ਨਾਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੰਡੇ ਤੇ ਕੰਡਿਆਲੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਨਗੇ, ਉਹ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣਗੇ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਢੱਕ ਲਓ! ਅਤੇ ਟਿੱਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਓ।
So shall the high places of Aven, be destroyed, the sin of Israel, Thorn and prickle, shall come up on their altars, —Therefore shall they say to the mountains, Cover us, and to the hills, Fall on us.
9 ੯ ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਤੂੰ ਗਿਬਆਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ, ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਲੱਗੇ ਰਹੇ, - ਭਲਾ, ਲੜਾਈ ਗਿਬਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਪੱਤੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾ ਆ ਪਵੇਗੀ?
Beyond the days of Gibeah, hast thou sinned, O Israel: there, came they to a stand, the battle against the sons of perversity, touched them not in Gibeah.
10 ੧੦ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾੜਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉੱਮਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਇਕੱਠੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਬੁਰਿਆਈਆਂ ਲਈ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
When I please, then will I chastise them, —and there shall be gathered together against them—peoples, they being harnessed to their two Iniquities;
11 ੧੧ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਸਿਖਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਵੱਛੀ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਗਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਧੌਣ ਦਾ ਸਰਫ਼ਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨੂੰ ਜੋਤਾਂਗਾ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਹਲ ਵਾਹੇਗਾ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਢੀਮਾ ਭੰਨੇਗਾ।
But, Ephraim, shall be a heifer broken in, loving to tread out corn, when, I, have passed over upon her fair neck, —I will drive Ephraim, Judah, shall plow, Jacob, shall harrow to him.
12 ੧੨ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਧਰਮ ਬੀਜੋ, ਦਯਾ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਵੱਢੋ, ਆਪਣੀ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਲ ਚਲਾਓ, ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਜਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੈ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਨਾ ਵਰ੍ਹਾਵੇ।
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap ye at the bidding of lovingkindness, furrow to yourselves the newly-ploughed soil, —then will be the time to seek Yahweh, until he come, that he may rain down righteousness for you.
13 ੧੩ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੁਸ਼ਟਪੁਣੇ ਦੀ ਵਾਹੀ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਵੱਢੀ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਝੂਠ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਖਾਧਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ, ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਾਫ਼ਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
Ye have plowed lawlessness, perversity, have ye reaped, ye have eaten the fruit of deception, —because thou didst trust in thy chariots, in the multitude of thy mighty men.
14 ੧੪ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਠੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸ਼ਲਮਨ ਨੇ ਯੁੱਧ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਬੈਤ-ਅਰਬੇਲ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ, ਮਾਂ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਸਣੇ ਪਟਕਾਈ ਗਈ।
Therefore shall there arise a tumult among thy peoples, and, all thy fortresses, shall be plundered, as Shalman plundered Beth-arbel, in the day of battle, —the mother, upon her children, dashed to the ground.
15 ੧੫ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ!
Even so, hath Bethel, done to you, because of your exceeding wickedness, —in the dawn, shall the king of Israel be, utterly silenced.
