ਉਤਪਤ 18
1 ੧ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਮਰੇ ਦੇ ਬਲੂਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿਨ ਦੀ ਧੁੱਪ ਵੇਲੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
and to see: see to(wards) him LORD in/on/with terebinth Mamre and he/she/it to dwell entrance [the] tent like/as heat [the] day
2 ੨ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ ਤਿੰਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੱਕ ਝੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ।
and to lift: look eye his and to see: see and behold three human to stand upon him and to see: see and to run: run to/for to encounter: meet them from entrance [the] tent and to bow land: soil [to]
3 ੩ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ! ਜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਚਲੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਾ।
and to say lord my if please to find favor in/on/with eye: seeing your not please to pass from upon servant/slave your
to take: bring please little water and to wash: wash foot your and to lean underneath: under [the] tree
5 ੫ ਮੈਂ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਵੀ ਲਿਆਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤ ਕਰੋ। ਫੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਇਓ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਹੋ। ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਕਰ।
and to take: bring morsel food: bread and to support heart your (after *L(S)*) to pass for as that: since as as to pass upon servant/slave your and to say so to make: do like/as as which to speak: speak
and to hasten Abraham [the] tent [to] to(wards) Sarah and to say to hasten three seah flour fine flour to knead and to make bun
7 ੭ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੱਸ ਕੇ ਚੌਣੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਰਮ ਵੱਛਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ।
and to(wards) [the] cattle to run: run Abraham and to take: take son: young animal cattle tender and pleasant and to give: give to(wards) [the] youth and to hasten to/for to make [obj] him
8 ੮ ਫੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦਹੀਂ, ਦੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੱਛਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਰੋਸ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੁੱਖ ਹੇਠ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਖਾਧਾ।
and to take: take curd and milk and son: young animal [the] cattle which to make and to give: put to/for face: before their and he/she/it to stand: stand upon them underneath: under [the] tree and to eat
and to say to(wards) him where? Sarah woman: wife your and to say behold in/on/with tent
10 ੧੦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਬਸੰਤ ਦੀ ਰੁੱਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਤੰਬੂ ਦੇ ਬੂਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਸੀ, ਸੁਣ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ।
and to say to return: return to return: return to(wards) you like/as time alive and behold son: child to/for Sarah woman: wife your and Sarah to hear: hear entrance [the] tent and he/she/it after him
and Abraham and Sarah old to come (in): advanced in/on/with day: year to cease to/for to be to/for Sarah way like/as woman
12 ੧੨ ਤਦ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੱਸੀ ਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਬੁੱਢੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਵੀ ਬੁੱਢਾ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੁੱਖ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ?
and to laugh Sarah in/on/with entrails: among her to/for to say after to become old I to be to/for me delight and lord my be old
13 ੧੩ ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਸਾਰਾਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਹੱਸੀ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਬੁੱਢੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ, ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੀ? ਭਲਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਗੱਲ ਔਖੀ ਹੈ?
and to say LORD to(wards) Abraham to/for what? this to laugh Sarah to/for to say also truly to beget and I be old
to wonder from LORD word: thing to/for meeting: time appointed to return: return to(wards) you like/as time alive and to/for Sarah son: child
15 ੧੫ ਪਰ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਮੁੱਕਰ ਗਈ, ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੱਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਡਰ ਗਈ ਪਰੰਤੂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਨਹੀਂ ਤੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਹੱਸੀ ਹੈਂ।
and to deceive Sarah to/for to say not to laugh for to fear and to say not for to laugh
16 ੧੬ ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਸਦੂਮ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਹੇ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ।
and to arise: rise from there [the] human and to look upon face: surface Sodom and Abraham to go: went with them to/for to send: depart them
and LORD to say to cover I from Abraham which I to make: do
and Abraham to be to be to/for nation great: large and mighty and to bless in/on/with him all nation [the] land: country/planet
19 ੧੯ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਣਗੇ, ਆਗਿਆ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੇ।
for to know him because which to command [obj] son: child his and [obj] house: household his after him and to keep: obey way: conduct LORD to/for to make: do righteousness and justice because to come (in): bring LORD upon Abraham [obj] which to speak: promise upon him
20 ੨੦ ਫਿਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਸਦੂਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਮੂਰਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਧ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਭਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
and to say LORD outcry Sodom and Gomorrah for to multiply and sin their for to honor: heavy much
21 ੨੧ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਤਰ ਕੇ ਵੇਖਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਰੌਲ਼ੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ, ਜੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ।
to go down please and to see: see like/as cry her [the] to come (in): come to(wards) me to make: do consumption and if not to know
and to turn from there [the] human and to go: went Sodom [to] (and Abraham *L(S)*) still he to stand: stand to/for face: before (LORD *L(S)*)
and to approach: approach Abraham and to say also to snatch righteous with wicked
24 ੨੪ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਸ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਧਰਮੀ ਹੋਣ। ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਹਾਂ ਧਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ, ਛੱਡ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ?
perhaps there fifty righteous in/on/with midst [the] city also to snatch and not to lift: bear to/for place because fifty [the] righteous which in/on/with entrails: among her
25 ੨੫ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਧਰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਧਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਕੁਧਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ।
forbid to/for you from to make: do like/as Chronicles [the] this to/for to die righteous with wicked and to be like/as righteous like/as wicked forbid to/for you to judge all [the] land: country/planet not to make: do justice
26 ੨੬ ਕੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਈਂ ਨਿਆਂ ਨਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ? ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜੇ ਸਦੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਧਰਮੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਛੱਡ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
and to say LORD if to find in/on/with Sodom fifty righteous in/on/with midst [the] city and to lift: bear to/for all [the] place in/on/with for the sake of them
27 ੨੭ ਫੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਧੂੜ ਅਤੇ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਹੀ ਹਾਂ।
and to answer Abraham and to say behold please be willing to/for to speak: speak to(wards) Lord and I dust and ashes
28 ੨੮ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਧਰਮੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੰਜ ਘੱਟ ਹੋਣ। ਕੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਰਾ ਨਗਰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ? ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੈਂਤਾਲੀ ਲੱਭਣ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
perhaps to lack [emph?] fifty [the] righteous five to ruin in/on/with five [obj] all [the] city and to say not to ruin if to find there forty and five
29 ੨੯ ਫੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਹੋਰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉੱਥੇ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਲੱਭਣ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
and to add: again still to/for to speak: speak to(wards) him and to say perhaps to find [emph?] there forty and to say not to make: do in/on/with for the sake of [the] forty
30 ੩੦ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂ, ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉੱਥੇ ਤੀਹ ਲੱਭਣ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਤੀਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
and to say not please to be incensed to/for Lord and to speak: speak perhaps to find [emph?] there thirty and to say not to make: do if to find there thirty
31 ੩੧ ਫੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਵੇਖ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਦਲੇਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉੱਥੇ ਵੀਹ ਲੱਭਣ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੀਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਵੀ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
and to say behold please be willing to/for to speak: speak to(wards) Lord perhaps to find [emph?] there twenty and to say not to ruin in/on/with for the sake of [the] twenty
32 ੩੨ ਫੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕੋ ਹੀ ਵਾਰ ਫੇਰ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉੱਥੇ ਦਸ ਲੱਭਣ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਗਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
and to say not please to be incensed to/for Lord and to speak: speak surely [the] beat perhaps to find [emph?] there ten and to say not to ruin in/on/with for the sake of [the] ten
and to go: journey LORD like/as as which to end: finish to/for to speak: speak to(wards) Abraham and Abraham to return: return to/for place his
