ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਏਲ 8
1 ੧ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਛੇਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਪੰਜ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੈਠੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਉੱਥੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਇਆ।
Now it came to pass in the sixth year, in the sixth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I sat in my house, and the elders of Judah sat before me, that the hand of the Lord Jehovah fell there upon me.
2 ੨ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਇੱਕ ਰੂਪ ਅੱਗ ਵਰਗਾ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੱਕ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਅੱਗ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੱਕ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਤੱਕ ਚਾਨਣ ਦੀ ਚਮਕ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਰੰਗ ਚਮਕਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਵਰਗਾ ਸੀ।
And I looked, and lo, a form having the appearance of fire; from the appearance of his loins downward, of fire; and from his loins upward, of a bright light, like the splendor of shining brass.
3 ੩ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੱਥ ਵਧਾ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਫੜਿਆ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਉੱਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਵੇਹੜੇ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਟਿਕਾਣਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਅਣਖ ਭੜਕਾਉਂਦੀ ਸੀ।
And he put forth the form of a hand, and took me by a lock of my head. And the spirit lifted me up between the earth and the heaven, and brought me, in the visions of God, to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate, that looketh toward the north, where stood the idol of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.
And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision which I saw in the plain.
5 ੫ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਉਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਚੁੱਕ। ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਉਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ, ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਤਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਅਣਖ ਦੀ ਉਹੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਰਸਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ।
Then said he to me, Son of man, lift up thine eyes toward the north! And I lifted up my eyes toward the north, and behold, northward from the gate of the altar was this idol of jealousy, at the entrance.
6 ੬ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਇੱਥੇ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਵਾਂ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵੇਖੇਂਗਾ।
And he said to me: Son of man, seest thou what they do? Great are the abominations which the house of Israel commit here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary. But thou shalt yet again see great abominations.
And he brought me to the door of the court, and I looked, and behold, a hole in the wall.
8 ੮ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਕੰਧ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਕੰਧ ਨੂੰ ਤੋੜਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ ਇੱਕ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਸੀ।
And he said to me, Son of man, break now through the wall. And when I had broken through the wall, behold, a door.
And he said to me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations which they practise here.
10 ੧੦ ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਹਰ ਕਿਸਮ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਿੱਸਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਲੀਤ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
So I went in and saw, and behold, every form of creeping things, and of abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about.
11 ੧੧ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਸੱਤਰ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਖਲੋਤੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਫਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਅਜ਼ਨਯਾਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਧੂਪਦਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਧੂਫ਼ ਦੇ ਬੱਦਲ ਦੀ ਸੁਗੰਧ ਉੱਠ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
And there stood before them seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel, Jaazaniah, the son of Shaphan, standing in the midst of them, with every man his censer in his hand; and a thick cloud of incense went up.
12 ੧੨ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਆਪਣੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਚਿੱਤਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਾਲੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ? ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Then said he to me: Son of man, seest thou what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, each one in his image-chamber? For they say, “Jehovah seeth us not; Jehovah hath forsaken the land.”
And he said to me, Thou shalt yet again see the great abominations which they practise.
14 ੧੪ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉੱਥੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਬੈਠੀਆਂ ਤੰਮੂਜ ਨੂੰ ਰੋ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Then he brought me to the entrance of the gate of the house of Jehovah, which was toward the north, and behold, there sat women, weeping for Thammuz.
15 ੧੫ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ? ਤੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਵੇਖੇਂਗਾ।
And he said to me, Seest thou this, O son of man? Thou shalt yet again see greater abominations than these.
16 ੧੬ ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੇ ਵੇਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿਉੜ੍ਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਲੱਗਭਗ ਪੱਚੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਨ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਿੱਠ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਵੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵੱਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
And he brought me into the inner court of the house of Jehovah, and behold, at the entrance of the temple of Jehovah, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of Jehovah, and their faces toward the east; and they bowed themselves eastward toward the sun.
17 ੧੭ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ? ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਨਿੱਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇੱਥੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਿਵਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੱਕ ਨਾਲ ਡਾਲੀਆਂ ਲਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
And he said to me: Seest thou, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah, that they commit the abominations which they commit here, that they fill the land with violence, and continually provoke me to anger? And behold, they put the blanch to their nostrils.
18 ੧੮ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਕਹਿਰ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਤਾਓ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਦਯਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਤਰਸ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਚੀਕ-ਚੀਕ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੁਕਾਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਉਣ, ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਾਂਗਾ।
Therefore will I also deal with them in fury; mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity; and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
