ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਏਲ 20
1 ੧ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੀ ਦਸ ਤਾਰੀਖ਼ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਨੂੰ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਏ।
And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth [month], the tenth [day] of the month, [that] certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of the LORD, and sat before me.
Then came the word of the LORD unto me, saying,
3 ੩ ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਆਏ ਹੋ? ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਪੁੱਛ ਸਕੋਗੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
Son of man, speak unto the elders of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye come to enquire of me? [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.
4 ੪ ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ? ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ।
Wilt thou judge them, son of man, wilt thou judge [them]? cause them to know the abominations of their fathers:
5 ੫ ਤੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ।
And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I [am] the LORD your God;
6 ੬ ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਵਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਵਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ।
In the day [that] I lifted up mine hand unto them, to bring them forth of the land of Egypt into a land that I had espied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which [is] the glory of all lands:
7 ੭ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰ ਇੱਕ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ।
Then said I unto them, Cast ye away every man the abominations of his eyes, and defile not yourselves with the idols of Egypt: I [am] the LORD your God.
8 ੮ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਗੀ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਸੁਣਨੀ ਨਾ ਚਾਹੀ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੀਆਂ ਵਸਤੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ, ਨਾ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਤਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਹਿਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਹਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਾਂ।
But they rebelled against me, and would not hearken unto me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt: then I said, I will pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.
9 ੯ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਲੀਤ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਇਆ।
But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whom they [were], in whose sight I made myself known unto them, in bringing them forth out of the land of Egypt.
Wherefore I caused them to go forth out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wilderness.
11 ੧੧ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਅਮਲ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ।
And I gave them my statutes, and shewed them my judgments, which [if] a man do, he shall even live in them.
12 ੧੨ ਨਾਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਬਤ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੋਣ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਜਾਣਨ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ।
Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I [am] the LORD that sanctify them.
13 ੧੩ ਪਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਗੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾ ਤੁਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜੇਕਰ ਅਮਲ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਬਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਲੀਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਹਿਰ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which [if] a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.
14 ੧੪ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਲੀਤ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ।
But I wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them out.
15 ੧੫ ਨਾਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁੱਧ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਦ ਵਗਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ।
Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given [them], flowing with milk and honey, which [is] the glory of all lands;
16 ੧੬ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਚਲੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਬਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਲੀਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਸਨ।
Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went after their idols.
17 ੧੭ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਹਾਜ਼ ਕੀਤਾ, ਨਾ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਰਾ ਅੰਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
Nevertheless mine eye spared them from destroying them, neither did I make an end of them in the wilderness.
18 ੧੮ ਮੈਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਾ ਚੱਲੋ, ਨਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।
But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:
19 ੧੯ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਚੱਲੋ, ਮੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨੋ
I [am] the LORD your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them;
20 ੨੦ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਬਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਜਾਣੋ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੋਣ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ।
And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I [am] the LORD your God.
21 ੨੧ ਪਰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵਿਦਰੋਹੀ ਹੋਏ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾ ਚੱਲੇ, ਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਅਮਲ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਮਲ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਬਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਲੀਤ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਹਿਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਹਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਜੋ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਗੁੱਸਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਾਂ।
Notwithstanding the children rebelled against me: they walked not in my statutes, neither kept my judgments to do them, which [if] a man do, he shall even live in them; they polluted my sabbaths: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them, to accomplish my anger against them in the wilderness.
22 ੨੨ ਫਿਰ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਰੋਕੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਢ ਕੇ ਲਿਆਇਆ, ਪਲੀਤ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
Nevertheless I withdrew mine hand, and wrought for my name’s sake, that it should not be polluted in the sight of the heathen, in whose sight I brought them forth.
23 ੨੩ ਨਾਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿਲਾਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਖੇਰਾਂਗਾ।
I lifted up mine hand unto them also in the wilderness, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countries;
24 ੨੪ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਅਮਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਰੱਦਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਬਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਲੀਤ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।
Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ idols.
25 ੨੫ ਨਾਲੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਨਾ ਰਹਿਣ।
Wherefore I gave them also statutes [that were] not good, and judgments whereby they should not live;
26 ੨੬ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਤੋਹਫ਼ਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਵਾਂ ਭਈ ਉਹ ਜਾਣਨ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ!
And I polluted them in their own gifts, in that they caused to pass through [the fire] all that openeth the womb, that I might make them desolate, to the end that they might know that I [am] the LORD.
27 ੨੭ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਐਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੁਫ਼ਰ ਬਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ
Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.
28 ੨੮ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਸੰਘਣੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਏ। ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਧੂਫ਼ ਧੁਖਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਪੀਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਡੋਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ।
[For] when I had brought them into the land, [for] the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to them, then they saw every high hill, and all the thick trees, and they offered there their sacrifices, and there they presented the provocation of their offering: there also they made their sweet savour, and poured out there their drink offerings.
29 ੨੯ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕੀ ਉੱਚਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ? ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਬਾਮਾਹ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅੱਜ ਤੱਕ ਹੈ।
Then I said unto them, What [is] the high place whereunto ye go? And the name thereof is called Bamah unto this day.
30 ੩੦ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ? ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਵਿਭਚਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ?
Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?
31 ੩੧ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਲੰਘਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਤਾਂ ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਪੁੱਛ ਸਕਦੇ ਹੋ? ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਪੁੱਛ ਸਕੋਗੇ।
For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? [As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.
32 ੩੨ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਤੇ ਟੱਬਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਲੱਕੜ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।
And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.
33 ੩੩ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਪਸਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਬਾਂਹ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਵਹਾ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
[As] I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out, will I rule over you:
34 ੩੪ ਮੈਂ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੱਥ ਅਤੇ ਪਸਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਬਾਂਹ ਨਾਲ ਕਹਿਰ ਵਹਾ ਕੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖਿੱਲਰੇ ਹੋ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.
And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.
36 ੩੬ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਦੀ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਵੀ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD.
And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant:
38 ੩੮ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬਾਗੀ ਹਨ ਅੱਡ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਹਨ, ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਵੜਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ।
And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I [am] the LORD.
39 ੩੯ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ-ਆਪਣੀ ਮੂਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਣੋਗੇ, ਪਰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਲੀਤ ਨਾ ਕਰੋਗੇ।
As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord GOD; Go ye, serve ye every one his idols, and hereafter [also], if ye will not hearken unto me: but pollute ye my holy name no more with your gifts, and with your idols.
40 ੪੦ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ, ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨਗੇ। ਉੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਚੁੱਕਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵੇ ਦੇ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫਲ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਮੰਗਾਂਗਾ।
For in mine holy mountain, in the mountain of the height of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, there shall all the house of Israel, all of them in the land, serve me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offerings, and the firstfruits of your oblations, with all your holy things.
41 ੪੧ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖਿੱਲਰ ਗਏ ਸੀ, ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੁਗੰਧੀ ਧੂਫ਼ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰਤਾਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
I will accept you with your sweet savour, when I bring you out from the people, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be sanctified in you before the heathen.
42 ੪੨ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਾਧੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵਾਂ, ਲੈ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ।
And ye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the country [for] the which I lifted up mine hand to give it to your fathers.
43 ੪੩ ਉੱਥੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਮਾਰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਏ, ਯਾਦ ਕਰੋਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ, ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਿਣਾਉਣੇ ਹੋਵੋਗੇ।
And there shall ye remember your ways, and all your doings, wherein ye have been defiled; and ye shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for all your evils that ye have committed.
44 ੪੪ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਂ ਮਾਰਗਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਰਤਾਓ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ।
And ye shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I have wrought with you for my name’s sake, not according to your wicked ways, nor according to your corrupt doings, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
46 ੪੬ ਹੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਤੂੰ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕਰ
Son of man, set thy face toward the south, and drop [thy word] toward the south, and prophesy against the forest of the south field;
47 ੪੭ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਦੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਸੁਣ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਗ ਭੜਕਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹਰੇਕ ਸੁੱਕੇ ਤੇ ਹਰੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਭਸਮ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗੀ। ਭੜਕਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਚਿੰਗਾੜਾ ਨਾ ਬੁਝੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਰ ਤੱਕ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਝੁਲਸੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the LORD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.
And all flesh shall see that I the LORD have kindled it: it shall not be quenched.
49 ੪੯ ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਹਾਏ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ! ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕੀ ਇਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲਦਾ?
Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! they say of me, Doth he not speak parables?
