ਦਾਨੀਏਲ 5
1 ੧ ਕਈ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ, ਬੇਲਸ਼ੱਸਰ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਪਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀਤਾ।
Belshazzar king the he made a feast great for nobles his a thousand and before thousand the wine [he was] drinking.
2 ੨ ਬੇਲਸ਼ੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਚੱਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਸੋਨੇ ਤੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢੇ ਸਨ, ਲਿਆਂਦੇ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਰਾਜਾ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਧਾਨ, ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਖ਼ੈਲਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀਣ।
Belshazzar he said - in [the] taste of wine the to bring [the] vessels of gold and silver which he had brought out Nebuchadnezzar father his from temple the which [was] in Jerusalem so they may drink with them king the and nobles his wives his and concubines his.
3 ੩ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਲਿਆਏ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਧਾਨਾਂ, ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਰਖ਼ੈਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੀਤੀ।
Then they brought [the] vessels of gold which they had brought out from temple the which [was] [the] house of God which [was] in Jerusalem and they drank with them king the and nobles his wives his and concubines his.
They drank wine the and they praised [the] gods of gold and silver bronze iron wood and stone.
5 ੫ ਉਸੇ ਘੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੀਆਂ ਉਂਗਲੀਆਂ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਮਾਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਹੱਥ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਜੋ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਸੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
At it moment the (they went forth *Q(K)*) fingers of a hand of a human and [they were] writing before candlestick the on plaster the of [the] wall of palace the of king the and king the [was] seeing [the] palm of hand the which [was] writing.
6 ੬ ਤਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਘਬਰਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਐਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲੱਕ ਦੇ ਜੋੜ ਢਿੱਲੇ ਪੈ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਗੋਡੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਟਕਰਾਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ।
Then king the brightness his they changed him and thoughts his they alarmed him and [the] joints of loin[s] his [were] loosened and knees his this [one] to this [one] [were] knocking.
7 ੭ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਚਿੱਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀਆਂ, ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਓ! ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਇਸ ਲਿਖਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਰਮਚੀ ਰੰਗ ਦਾ ਚੋਗਾ ਪਹਿਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਗਲ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਕੈਂਠਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਦਾ ਹਾਕਮ ਬਣੇਗਾ।
[was] calling King the with power to bring in conjurers the (Chaldeans the *Q(K)*) and astrologers the [was] replying king the and [was] saying - to [the] wise men of Babylon that any person who he will read aloud writing the this and interpretation its he will declare to me purple he will be clothed (and necklace the *Q(k)*) of gold [will be] on neck his and third in kingdom the he will rule.
Then ([were] going in *Q(k)*) all [the] wise men of king the and not [they were] able writing the to read aloud (and interpretation its *Q(K)*) to make known to king the.
Then king the Belshazzar exceedingly [was] alarmed and brightness his [were] changing on him and nobles his [were] dumbfounded.
10 ੧੦ ਫਿਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਣੀ ਦਾਵਤ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਣੀ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੀ, ਹੇ ਰਾਜਾ, ਜੁੱਗੋ-ਜੁੱਗ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਰਹਿ! ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੱਕਾ-ਬੱਕਾ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਬਦਲੇ!
Queen the before [the] words of king the and nobles his to [the] house of feast the (she went in *Q(k)*) she replied queen the and she said king O for ever live! may not they alarm you thought[s] your and brightness your may not they be changed.
11 ੧੧ ਤੇਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਨਣ ਤੇ ਸਮਝ ਤੇ ਬੁੱਧ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਵਰਗੀ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ, ਹਾਂ, ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ, ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀਆਂ, ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਿਦਵਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
There [is] a man in kingdom your who a spirit of gods holy [is] in him and in [the] days of father your illumination and insight and wisdom like [the] wisdom of gods it was found in him and king the Nebuchadnezzar father your chief of [the] magicians conjurers Chaldeans astrologers he appointed him father your king the.
12 ੧੨ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਆਤਮਾ, ਗਿਆਨ ਤੇ ਸਮਝ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਫ਼ਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ਦੱਸਣ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਤੇ ਔਖੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਭੇਤ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਤੇ ਵਹਿਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸੇ ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਬੇਲਟਸ਼ੱਸਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਵਾ ਲੈ ਉਹ ਅਰਥ ਦੱਸੇਗਾ।
As to because that a spirit - extraordinary and understanding and insight an interpreter of dreams and declaring of riddles and loosening of knots it was found in him in Daniel whom king the he made name his Belteshazzar now Daniel let him be summoned and interpretation the he will declare.
13 ੧੩ ਤਦ ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ। ਤਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੈਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੈਂ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ?
Then Daniel he was brought before king the [was] replying king the and [was] saying to Daniel (you *Q(k)*) he [are] Daniel who [is] one of [the] sons of exile the of Judah whom he brought king the father my from Judah.
14 ੧੪ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਚਾਨਣ ਤੇ ਸਮਝ ਤੇ ਚੰਗੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
And I have heard (concerning you *Q(k)*) that a spirit of gods [is] in you and illumination and insight and wisdom extraordinary it was found in you.
15 ੧੫ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਤੇ ਜੋਤਸ਼ੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲਿਆਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਲਿਖਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਨ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕੇ।
And now they have been brought before me wise men the conjurers the that writing the this they will read aloud and interpretation its to make known to me and not [they were] able [the] interpretation of matter the to declare.
16 ੧੬ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਅਰਥ ਦੱਸ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਰਮ ਹਟਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਹੁਣ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਲਿਖਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਰਮਚੀ ਰੰਗ ਦਾ ਚੋਗਾ ਪਹਿਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਗਲ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਕੈਂਠਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਦਾ ਹਾਕਮ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ।
And I I have heard (concerning you *Q(k)*) that (you are able *Q(k)*) interpretations to interpret and knots to loosen now if (you will be able *Q(k)*) writing the to read aloud and interpretation its to make known to me purple you will be clothed (and necklace the *Q(k)*) of gold [will be] on neck your and third the in kingdom the you will rule.
17 ੧੭ ਤਦ ਦਾਨੀਏਲ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੇਰੇ ਇਨਾਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੀ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਦਾਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇਸ ਲਿਖਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ।
Then [was] replying Daniel and [say] saying before king the gifts your for yourself let them be and rewards your to another give! nevertheless writing the I will read aloud to king the and interpretation the I will make known to him.
(You *Q(k)*) king O God (Most High the *Q(k)*) kingdom the and greatness the and honor the and majesty the he gave to Nebuchadnezzar father your.
19 ੧੯ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਖਿਆਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕੰਬੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਡਰੀਆਂ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ। ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਟਾਇਆ।
And from greatness the which he gave to him all peoples the nations the and languages the they were (trembling *Q(k)*) and fearing from before him whom he was pleased he was killing and whom he was pleased he was letting live and whom he was pleased he was lifting up and whom he was pleased he was bringing low.
20 ੨੦ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਅ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਕਠੋਰ ਹੋਇਆ ਐਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਘਮੰਡ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਿੰਘਾਸਣ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਗਈ।
And as that it rose up heart his and spirit his it grew strong to act presumptuously he was deposed from [the] throne of kingdom his and honor the they removed from him.
21 ੨੧ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵੰਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਛੇਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਜਿਹਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਗਧਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਲਦਾਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਘਾਹ ਚਰਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਦੀ ਤ੍ਰੇਲ ਨਾਲ ਗਿੱਲਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਐਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਅੱਤ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਟੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
And away from [the] sons of humankind he was chased and heart his - with animal[s] the (they made *Q(K)*) and [was] with wild donkeys the dwelling place his grass like oxen they fed him and from [the] dew of heavens the body his it became wet until that he knew that [was] having mastery God (Most High the *Q(k)*) over [the] kingdom of humankind and to whomever whom he will be pleased he will appoint (over it. *Q(K)*)
22 ੨੨ ਪਰ ਹੇ ਬੇਲਸ਼ੱਸਰ, ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਸਾਰੀ ਗੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਵੀ ਲਿਆ ਤਦ ਵੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਮਾਣਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
(And you *Q(k)*) son his O Belshazzar not you have brought low heart your as to because that all this you knew.
23 ੨੩ ਸਗੋਂ ਅਕਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਕੜਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਓਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਰਾਣੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਰਖੇਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਪੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਿੱਤਲ, ਲੋਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੱਕੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਜੋ ਨਾ ਵੇਖਦੇ, ਨਾ ਹੀ ਸੁਣਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਮ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਹ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
And against [the] lord of heavens the - you have lifted yourself up and vessels the of house his they have brought (before you and you and nobles your *Q(k)*) wives your and concubines your wine [are] drinking with them and [the] gods of silver and gold bronze iron wood and stone who not [are] seeing and not [are] hearing and not [are] knowing you have praised and God the who breath your [is] in hand his and all ways your [are] to him not you have glorified.
Then from before him it was sent out palm the of hand the and writing the this it was inscribed.
And this [is] writing the which it was inscribed mene mene teqel and pharsin.
This [is] [the] interpretation of matter the mene he has numbered God kingdom your and he has finished it.
Teqel you have been weighed in scales the and you have been found lacking.
Peres it has been broken in two kingdom your and it has been given to Medes and Persians.
