ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਰਤੱਬ 8
1 ੧ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਰਾਜ਼ੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਉੱਤੇ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਵੱਡਾ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿੱਲਰ ਗਏ।
Saul now was there consenting to the killing of him. Arose then on that [very] day a persecution great against the church which [was] in Jerusalem; All (then *N(k)O*) were scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria except the apostles.
Buried now Stephen men devout and (they made *N(k)O*) lamentation great over him.
3 ੩ ਪਰ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜ ਕੇ ਮਰਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਸੀਟ ਕੇ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
Saul however was destroying the church by houses entering, dragging off then men and women he was delivering [them] to prison.
Those indeed therefore having been scattered they went about evangelising the word.
Philip now having gone down to (the *no*) city of Samaria was proclaiming to them the Christ.
6 ੬ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਵਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਸੁਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੇ, ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮਨ ਲਾਇਆ।
Were giving heed (now *N(k)O*) the crowds to the [things] being spoken by Philip with one accord in the [time] to hear them and to see the signs that he was performing;
7 ੭ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਆਤਮਾਵਾਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਬੜੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ, ਉੱਚੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਚੀਕਾਂ ਮਾਰਦੀਆਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਗਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਰੰਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੰਗੜੇ ਬਥੇਰੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
(many *N(k)O*) for of those having spirits unclean crying voice in a loud (were coming out, *N(k)O*) many now paralyzed and lame were healed;
(and *k*) There was (then *no*) (much *N(k)O*) joy in the city that.
9 ੯ ਪਰ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਹਾਂ ਪੁਰਖ ਹਾਂ।
A man now certain named Simon was formerly in the city practicing sorcery and amazing the people of Samaria declaring to be someone himself great;
10 ੧੦ ਉਹ ਛੋਟੇ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਸਭ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਮਨ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਹਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ!
to whom were giving heed all from small until great saying; This [one] is the power of God which (is called *NO*) Great.
11 ੧੧ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਇਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਮਨ ਲਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਕਰ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਸੀ।
They were giving heed now to him because the long time with the magic arts to have amazed them;
12 ੧੨ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈਣ ਲੱਗੇ।
When however they believed Philip evangelising (*k*) concerning the kingdom of God and the name (*k*) of Jesus Christ, they were baptized men both and women.
13 ੧੩ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀਆਂ, ਕਰਾਮਾਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਗਟ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਸਨ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ।
And Simon also himself believed, and having been baptized he was steadfastly continuing with Philip, Beholding then [the] signs and miracles great being performed he was amazed.
14 ੧੪ ਜਦੋਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਮੰਨ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
Having heard now the in Jerusalem apostles that has received Samaria the word of God, they sent to them (*k*) Peter and John;
who having come down they prayed for them that they may receive [the] Spirit Holy.
16 ੧੬ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਉਤਰਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
(Not yet *N(k)O*) for He was upon none of them having fallen, only however baptized they were being into the name of the (Lord *NK(O)*) Jesus.
Then they were laying the hands upon them and they were receiving [the] Spirit Holy.
18 ੧੮ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜੋ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਣ ਨਾਲ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੁਪਏ ਲਿਆਇਆ।
(having seen *N(k)O*) now of Simon that through the laying on of the hands of the apostles was given the Spirit (holy *KO*) he offered to them money
19 ੧੯ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਦਿਉ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਜਾਵੇ।
saying; do give also to me also to me authority this, that on whom (when *N(k)O*) I shall lay the hands he may receive [the] Spirit Holy.
20 ੨੦ ਪਰ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੇਰੇ ਰੁਪਏ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਣ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਰਦਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੱਲ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਸੋਚਿਆ!
Peter however said to him; The silver of you with you would [that] it be to destruction, because the gift of God you thought through money to be obtained!
No there is to you part nor lot in matter this; the for heart of you not is right (before *N(k)O*) God.
22 ੨੨ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਇਸ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਤੋਂ ਤੋਬਾ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਚ ਹੈ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
do repent therefore of the wickedness of yours this and do pray earnestly to the (Lord, *N(K)O*) if indeed will be forgiven you the intent of the heart of you.
in for [the] gall of bitterness and [the] bond of iniquity I see you being.
24 ੨੪ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰੋ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾ ਆ ਪਵੇ।
Answering now Simon said; do pray earnestly you yourselves on behalf of me to the Lord, so that nothing may come upon me myself of which you have spoken.
25 ੨੫ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਪਿੰਡਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜੇ।
They indeed therefore having earnestly testified and having spoken the word of the Lord (were travelling back *N(k)O*) to Jerusalem, to many then villages of the Samaritans (they were evangelising. *N(k)O*)
26 ੨੬ ਪਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਨ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉੱਠ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣ ਵੱਲ ਉਸ ਰਸਤੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੋਂ ਗਾਜ਼ਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਜਾੜ ਹੈ।
An angel now of [the] Lord spoke to Philip saying; do rise up and do go toward [the] south to the road which is going down from Jerusalem to Gaza; This is [the] desert [road].
27 ੨੭ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਕਿ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇਸ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਖੋਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਣੀ ਕੰਦਾਕੇ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ।
And having risen up he went; And behold a man an Ethiopian a eunuch a potentate of Candace (the *k*) queen of Ethiopians, who was over all the treasure of her, who had come to then worship to Jerusalem,
he was (then *NK(o)*) returning and sitting in the chariot of him and he was reading the prophet Isaiah.
Said then the Spirit to Philip; do go near and do be joined to the chariot this [one].
30 ੩੦ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਦੌੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੜਦੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪੜਦੇ ਹੋ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਵੀ ਹੋ?
Having run up then Philip heard when he is reading Isaiah the prophet and said; Surely not also understand you what you are reading?
31 ੩੧ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕੋਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਮਝਾਵੇ, ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਝ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ? ਫੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਜਾ।
And he said; How for maybe would I be able only unless someone (will guide *N(k)O*) me? He invited then Philip having come up to sit with him.
32 ੩੨ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥ ਦਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਸੋ ਇਹ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਭੇਡ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਢੇ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਲੇਲਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਉੱਨ ਕਤਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਦਾ!
Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this: As a sheep to slaughter He was led, and as a lamb before the [one who] (shearing *N(k)O*) him [is] silent, so not He opens the mouth of Him.
33 ੩੩ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਅਧੀਨਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਖੁੱਸ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਦਾ ਕੌਣ ਬਿਆਨ ਕਰੇਗਾ? ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੋਂ ਉਠਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
In the humiliation of Him justice from Him was taken away, The (now *k*) generation of Him who will describe? For is removed from the earth the life of Him.
34 ੩੪ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਖੋਜੇ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਹ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਨਬੀ ਕਿਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੀ?
Answering now the eunuch to Philip said; I pray you, concerning whom the prophet says this? Concerning himself, or concerning other some?
Having opened then Philip the mouth of him and having begun from Scripture this he evangelised to him [about] Jesus.
36 ੩੬ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਦ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਕੁੰਡ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਤਦ ਉਸ ਖੋਜੇ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਵੇਖ, ਇੱਥੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਰੋਕਦੀ ਹੈ?
As then they were going along the road, they came upon some water and says the eunuch; Behold water; what prevents me to be baptized?
37 ੩੭ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਨ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਲੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ।” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ।”
(said now Philip: if believe you from all the heart it is lawful. answering now said: I believe the son of God to be Jesus Christ. *K*)
38 ੩੮ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰੱਥ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜਾ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
And he commanded to stop the chariot, And they went down both to the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.
39 ੩੯ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਏ ਤਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਜੇ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਨਾ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਨੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
When now they came up out of the water, [the] Spirit of [the] Lord carried away Philip, and not saw him no longer no longer the eunuch; he was going for the way of him rejoicing.
40 ੪੦ ਪਰ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਅਜ਼ੋਤੁਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਆਇਆ ਉਹ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਗਿਆ।
Philip however was found at Azotus, and passing through he was evangelising to the towns all until coming of him to Caesarea.
