1 ੧ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਦੀ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਨਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਸਨ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ, ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੀਗਰ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਲੂਕਿਯੁਸ ਕੁਰੇਨੇ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਮਨਏਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੇਰੋਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ।
And there were certain in Antioch, in the assembly there, prophets and teachers: both Barnabas, and Simeon who is called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenian, Manaen also—Herod the tetrarch’s foster-brother—and Saul;
2 ੨ ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਦੇ, ਵਰਤ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
and in their ministering to the LORD and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Separate to Me both Barnabas and Saul to the work to which I have called them,”
then having fasted, and having prayed, and having laid the hands on them, they sent [them] away.
These, indeed, then, having been sent forth by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, and from there they sailed to Cyprus,
5 ੫ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਲਮੀਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ।
and having come to Salamis, they declared the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews, and they also had John [as] a servant;
6 ੬ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਟਾਪੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਿਰਦੇ-ਫਿਰਦੇ ਪਾਫ਼ੁਸ ਤੱਕ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਯੇਸੂਸ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜਾਦੂ ਟੂਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਝੂਠਾ ਨਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਮ ਦਾ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਸੀ।
and having gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain magus, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name [is] Bar-Jesus;
7 ੭ ਉਹ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਸਰਗੀਉਸ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਨ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਨੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਬੁਲਾ ਕੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ।
who was with the proconsul Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man; this one having called for Barnabas and Saul, desired to hear the word of God,
8 ੮ ਇਲਮਾਸ ਜਾਦੂ ਟੂਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ (ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇਹੋ ਅਰਥ ਹੈ) ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਤੋਂ ਭਟਕਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ।
and there withstood them Elymas the magus—for so is his name interpreted—seeking to pervert the proconsul from the faith.
And Saul—who also [is] Paul—having been filled with the Holy Spirit, and having looked steadfastly on him,
10 ੧੦ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਸਭ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਛਲ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈਂ, ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀ! ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਟੇਡੇ ਕਰਨੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਟਲੇਂਗਾ?
said, “O full of all guile, and all recklessness, son of a devil, enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease perverting the right ways of the LORD?
11 ੧੧ ਹੁਣ ਵੇਖ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਵੇਖੇਂਗਾ! ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਧੁੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਛਾ ਗਿਆ। ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਟੋਲਦਾ ਫਿਰਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਹੱਥ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਚੱਲੇ।
And now, behold, a hand of the LORD [is] on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season”; and instantly there fell on him a mist and darkness, and he, going around, was seeking some to lead [him] by the hand;
then the proconsul having seen what has come to pass, believed, being astonished at the teaching of the LORD.
13 ੧੩ ਤਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਪਾਫ਼ੁਸ ਤੋਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਪਮਫ਼ੁਲਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਗਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਲੱਗ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ।
And those around Paul having set sail from Paphos, came to Perga of Pamphylia, and John having departed from them, turned back to Jerusalem,
14 ੧੪ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਪਰਗਾ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਪਿਸਿਦਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਬੈਠੇ।
and they having gone through from Perga, came to Antioch of Pisidia, and having gone into the synagogue on the day of the Sabbaths, they sat down,
15 ੧੫ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਭਾਈਓ, ਜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਣਾਓ।
and after the reading of the Law and of the Prophets, the chief men of the synagogue sent to them, saying, “Men, brothers, if there be a word in you of exhortation to the people—say on.”
16 ੧੬ ਤਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਓ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਵਾਲਿਓ ਸੁਣੋ।
And Paul having risen, and having beckoned with the hand, said, “Men, Israelites, and those fearing God, listen:
17 ੧੭ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ, ਇਸ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਦੋਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਸੀ ਵਧਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ।
the God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and He exalted the people in their sojourning in the land of Egypt, and He brought them out of it with a high arm;
and about a period of forty years He endured their conduct in the wilderness,
19 ੧੯ ਅਤੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਗਭਗ ਸਾਢੇ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਰਸਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
and having destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, He divided their land to them by lot.
And after these things, about four hundred and fifty years, He gave judges—until Samuel the prophet;
21 ੨੧ ਫਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਗੋਤ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੀਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
and thereafter they asked for a king, and God gave to them Saul, son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years;
22 ੨੨ ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾ ਕੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯੱਸੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਭਾਉਂਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਲੱਭਿਆ, ਉਹ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
and having removed him, He raised up to them David for king, to whom also having testified, He said, I found David, the [son] of Jesse, a man according to My heart, who will do all My will.
Of this one’s seed, God, according to promise, raised to Israel a Savior—Jesus,
John having first preached, before His coming, an immersion of conversion to all the people of Israel;
25 ੨੫ ਜਦੋਂ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੌੜ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹੋ? ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਵੇਖੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਇੱਕ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ।
and as John was fulfilling the course, he said, Whom do you suppose I am? I am not [He], but behold, He comes after me, of whom I am not worthy to loose the sandal of [His] feet.
26 ੨੬ ਹੇ ਭਾਈਓ, ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਡਰ ਮੰਨਦੇ ਹੋ, ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਸ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you fearing God, to you was the word of this salvation sent,
27 ੨੭ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਨਾ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
for those dwelling in Jerusalem, and their chiefs, having not known this One, also the voices of the Prophets, which are being read every Sabbath—having judged [Him]—fulfilled,
28 ੨੮ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਤਲ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਕ ਕੋਈ ਦੋਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
and having found no cause of death, they asked of Pilate that He should be slain,
29 ੨੯ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਉਤਾਰ ਕੇ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ।
and when they fulfilled all the things written about Him, having taken [Him] down from the tree, they laid Him in a tomb;
and God raised Him out of the dead,
31 ੩੧ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗਲੀਲ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ।
and He was seen for many days of those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people.
And we proclaim good news to you—that the promise made to the fathers,
33 ੩੩ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਠਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਉਸੇ ਬਚਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਅੱਜ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ।
God has completed this in full to us their children, having raised up Jesus, as also in the second Psalm it has been written: You are My Son—I have begotten You today.
34 ੩੪ ਇਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਦੀ ਨਾ ਸੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਟੱਲ ਬਰਕਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
And that He raised Him up out of the dead, to no longer return to corruption, He has said this: I will give to You the holy [blessings] of David [that are] faithful;
for what reason He also says in another [place]: You will not give Your Holy One to see corruption;
36 ੩੬ ਦਾਊਦ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੌਂ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੱਬਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸੜ ਗਿਆ।
for David, indeed, having served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, and was added to his fathers, and saw corruption,
but He whom God raised up, did not see corruption.
Let it therefore be known to you, men, brothers, that the forgiveness of sins is declared to you through this One,
39 ੩੯ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹਰੇਕ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਗੁਨਾਹ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬੇਗੁਨਾਹ ਨਾ ਠਹਿਰ ਸਕੇ।
and from all things in the Law of Moses from which you were not able to be declared righteous, everyone who is believing in this One is declared righteous;
40 ੪੦ ਸੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੌਕਸ ਰਹੋ ਕਿਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਆ ਪਵੇ ਕਿ
see, therefore, it may not come on you that has been spoken in the Prophets:
41 ੪੧ ਹੇ ਤੁਛ ਜਾਣਨ ਵਾਲਿਓ ਵੇਖੋ, ਅਚਰਜ਼ ਮੰਨੋ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ! ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਿ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੇ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਦੀ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਨਾ ਮੰਨੋਗੇ।
See, you despisers, and wonder, and perish, because I work a work in your days, a work in which you may not believe, though anyone may declare [it] to you.”
42 ੪੨ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਿ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਇਹ ਹੀ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣ।
And having gone forth out of the synagogue of the Jews, the nations were calling on [them] that on the next Sabbath these sayings may be spoken to them,
43 ੪੩ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਭਾ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਮੱਤ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਭਗਤ, ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗ ਤੁਰੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣੇ ਰਹੋ।
and the synagogue having been dismissed, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were persuading them to remain in the grace of God.
And on the coming Sabbath, almost all the city was gathered together to hear the word of God,
45 ੪੫ ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੀੜ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੋਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ।
and the Jews having seen the multitudes, were filled with zeal, and contradicted the things spoken by Paul—contradicting and slandering.
46 ੪੬ ਤਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨਿਡਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬੋਲੇ, ਕਿ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਪਰ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਰੱਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜਦੇ ਹਾਂ। (aiōnios g166)
And speaking boldly, Paul and Barnabas said, “It was necessary that the word of God be first spoken to you, and seeing you thrust it away, and do not judge yourselves worthy of the continuous life, behold, we turn to the nations; (aiōnios g166)
47 ੪੭ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਜੋਤ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੋਵੇਂ।
for so the LORD has commanded us: I have set you for a light of nations—for your being for salvation to the end of the earth.”
48 ੪੮ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਹੋਏ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ ਠਹਿਰਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ। (aiōnios g166)
And the nations hearing were glad, and were glorifying the word of the LORD, and believed—as many as were appointed to continuous life; (aiōnios g166)
and the word of the LORD was spread abroad through all the region.
50 ੫੦ ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ, ਭਗਤਣਾਂ, ਪਤਵੰਤੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਗਰ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਮਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ, ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਦੰਗਾ ਮਚਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੱਦੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
And the Jews stirred up the devout and honorable women, and the first men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and put them out from their borders;
and having shaken off the dust of their feet against them, they came to Iconium,
and the disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
