2 ਰਾਜਿਆਂ 4
1 ੧ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੇ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਭੈਅ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਲੈਣਦਾਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਲੈਣ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
and woman: wife one from woman: wife son: child [the] prophet to cry to(wards) Elisha to/for to say servant/slave your man: husband my to die and you(m. s.) to know for servant/slave your to be afraid [obj] LORD and [the] to lend to come (in): come to/for to take: take [obj] two youth my to/for him to/for servant/slave
2 ੨ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਂ? ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਹੈ?” ਉਹ ਬੋਲੀ, “ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਕੁੱਪੀ ਤੇਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ।”
and to say to(wards) her Elisha what? to make: do to/for you to tell to/for me what? there (to/for you *Q(k)*) in/on/with house: home and to say nothing to/for maidservant your all in/on/with house: home that if: except if: except flask oil
and to say to go: went to ask to/for you article/utensil from [the] outside from with all (neighboring your *Q(k)*) article/utensil worthless not to diminish
4 ੪ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਅੰਦਰ ਆ ਜਾਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਬੂਹਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲਵੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਾਂਡਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਲ ਪਾਈ ਜਾਵੀਂ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਭਰ ਜਾਏ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਲੱਗ ਰੱਖ ਦੇਵੀਂ।”
and to come (in): come and to shut [the] door about/through/for you and about/through/for son: child your and to pour: pour upon all [the] article/utensil [the] these and [the] full to set out
5 ੫ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਚੱਲੀ ਗਈ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਬੂਹਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੇ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਈ ਗਈ।
and to go: went from with him and to shut [the] door about/through/for her and about/through/for son: child her they(masc.) to approach: bring to(wards) her and he/she/it (to pour: pour *Q(k)*)
6 ੬ ਜਦੋਂ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਭਾਂਡਾ ਲਿਆ।” ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੋਰ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਭਾਂਡਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਲ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
and to be like/as to fill [the] article/utensil and to say to(wards) son: child her to approach: bring [emph?] to(wards) me still article/utensil and to say to(wards) her nothing still article/utensil and to stand: stand [the] oil
7 ੭ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਕੋਲ ਆਈ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਜਾ ਕੇ ਤੇਲ ਵੇਚ ਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕਰਜ਼ਾ ਭਰ ਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਬਚੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਤੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਾ ਕਰਿਓ।”
and to come (in): come and to tell to/for man [the] God and to say to go: went to sell [obj] [the] oil and to complete [obj] (debt your *Q(K)*) and you(f. s.) (and son: child your *Q(K)*) to live in/on/with to remain
8 ੮ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਸ਼ੂਨੇਮ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਲੰਘਿਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਤਵੰਤੀ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਫੇਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਦੀ ਉਹ ਉੱਧਰ ਦੀ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਸੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਉੱਧਰੇ ਮੁੜ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
and to be [the] day and to pass Elisha to(wards) Shunem and there woman great: large and to strengthen: ensure in/on/with him to/for to eat food and to be from sufficiency to pass he to turn aside: turn aside there [to] to/for to eat food
9 ੯ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਵੇਖ, ਉਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਸਿਓਂ ਲੰਘਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਜਨ ਜਾਪਦਾ ਹੈ।
and to say to(wards) man: husband her behold please to know for man God holy: saint he/she/it to pass upon us continually
10 ੧੦ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਨਿੱਕਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਚੁਬਾਰਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਜਾ, ਇੱਕ ਮੇਜ਼, ਇੱਕ ਚੌਂਕੀ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੀਵਾ ਰੱਖੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਸਕੇਗਾ।”
to make please upper room wall small and to set: put to/for him there bed and table and throne: seat and lampstand and to be in/on/with to come (in): come he to(wards) us to turn aside: turn aside there [to]
and to be [the] day and to come (in): come there [to] and to turn aside: turn aside to(wards) [the] upper room and to lie down: lay down there [to]
12 ੧੨ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸ ਸ਼ੂਨੰਮੀ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ,” ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ।
and to say to(wards) Gehazi youth his to call: call to to/for Shunammites [the] this and to call: call to to/for her and to stand: stand to/for face: before his
13 ੧੩ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਕਿ ਵੇਖ ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਐਨੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਡੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੀ ਰਹੀ, ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ? ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਜਾਂ ਸੈਨਾਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੀਏ? ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੋਲੀ, “ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਵੱਸਦੀ ਹਾਂ।”
and to say to/for him to say please to(wards) her behold to tremble to(wards) us [obj] all [the] trembling [the] this what? to/for to make: do to/for you there to/for to speak: speak to/for you to(wards) [the] king or to(wards) ruler [the] army and to say in/on/with midst kinsman my I to dwell
14 ੧੪ ਫੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ? ਅੱਗੋਂ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪਤੀ ਬਿਰਧ ਹੈ।”
and to say and what? to/for to make: do to/for her and to say Gehazi truly son: child nothing to/for her and man: husband her be old
and to say to call: call to to/for her and to call: call to to/for her and to stand: stand in/on/with entrance
16 ੧੬ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਇਸੇ ਰੁੱਤੇ ਬਸੰਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜ੍ਹੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।” ਉਹ ਬੋਲੀ, “ਨਹੀਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਝੂਠ ਨਾ ਬੋਲ।”
and to say to/for meeting: time appointed [the] this like/as time alive (you(f. s.) *Q(K)*) to embrace son: child and to say not lord my man [the] God not to lie in/on/with maidservant your
and to conceive [the] woman and to beget son: child to/for meeting: time appointed [the] this like/as time alive which to speak: speak to(wards) her Elisha
and to magnify [the] youth and to be [the] day and to come out: come to(wards) father his to(wards) [the] to reap
19 ੧੯ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ, “ਹਾਏ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰ, ਹਾਏ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰ!” ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਲੈ ਜਾ।”
and to say to(wards) father his head my head my and to say to(wards) [the] youth to lift: bear him to(wards) mother his
20 ੨੦ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਗੋਡਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਫੇਰ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ।
and to lift: raise him and to come (in): bring him to(wards) mother his and to dwell upon knee her till [the] midday and to die
21 ੨੧ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਦੇ ਮੰਜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਟਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ।
and to ascend: rise and to lie down: lay down him upon bed man [the] God and to shut about/through/for him and to come out: come
22 ੨੨ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੁਆਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਜਣਾ ਨਾਲੇ ਇੱਕ ਗਧੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਕੋਲ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਆਵਾਂ।”
and to call: call to to(wards) man: husband her and to say to send: depart [emph?] please to/for me one from [the] youth and one [the] she-ass and to run: run till man [the] God and to return: return
23 ੨੩ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਅੱਜ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈਂ, ਨਾ ਨਵਾਂ ਚੰਦ ਹੈ ਨਾ ਸਬਤ?” ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੋਲੀ ਸਲਾਮਤੀ ਹੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
and to say why? (you(f. s.) *Q(K)*) (to go: went *Q(k)*) to(wards) him [the] day not month: new moon and not Sabbath and to say peace: well-being
24 ੨੪ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਗਧੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕਾਠੀ ਕੱਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੱਕ ਲੈ ਤੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੱਧ। ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਆਖਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਸਵਾਰੀ ਹੱਕਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਢਿੱਲ ਨਾ ਕਰੀਂ।”
and to saddle/tie [the] she-ass and to say to(wards) youth her to lead and to go: continue not to restrain to/for me to/for to ride that if: except if: except to say to/for you
25 ੨੫ ਸੋ ਉਹ ਰਾਹ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਕੋਲ ਕਰਮਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰੋਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਵੇਖ, ਓਹ ਸ਼ੂਨੰਮੀ ਔਰਤ ਹੈ।”
and to go: went and to come (in): come to(wards) man [the] God to(wards) mountain: mount [the] (Mount) Carmel and to be like/as to see: see man [the] God [obj] her from before and to say to(wards) Gehazi youth his behold [the] Shunammites this
26 ੨੬ ਤੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਤਾਂ ਹੈਂ? ਤੇਰਾ ਪਤੀ ਰਾਜੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਹੈ? ਬਾਲਕ ਰਾਜੀ ਬਾਜ਼ੀ ਹੈ? ਅੱਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਬੋਲੀ, “ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਹੈ।”
now to run: run please to/for to encounter: meet her and to say to/for her peace: well-being to/for you peace: well-being to/for man: husband your peace: well-being to/for youth and to say peace: well-being
27 ੨੭ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਕੋਲ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਫੜ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇ ਹਟਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਇਆ ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਲੁਕਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ।”
and to come (in): come to(wards) man [the] God to(wards) [the] mountain: mount and to strengthen: hold in/on/with foot his and to approach: approach Gehazi to/for to thrust her and to say man [the] God to slacken to/for her for soul: myself her to provoke to/for her and LORD to conceal from me and not to tell to/for me
28 ੨੮ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਬੋਲੀ, “ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਸੀ? ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੀਂ?”
and to say to ask son: child from with lord my not to say not to neglect [obj] me
29 ੨੯ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਆਪਣਾ ਲੱਕ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਠੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਰਾਹ ਫੜ। ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਨਾਮ ਨਾ ਕਰੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਰਨਾਮ ਕਰੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੀਂ। ਫੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਠੀ ਰੱਖ ਦੇਵੀਂ।”
and to say to/for Gehazi to gird loin your and to take: take staff my in/on/with hand your and to go: went for to find man: anyone not to bless him and for to bless you man: anyone not to answer him and to set: put staff my upon face [the] youth
30 ੩੦ ਪਰ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ ਬੋਲੀ, “ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡਾਂਗੀ।” ਸੋ ਉਹ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ।
and to say mother [the] youth alive LORD and alive soul: myself your if: surely no to leave: forsake you and to arise: rise and to go: follow after her
31 ੩੧ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੁਰ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਾਠੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਪਰ ਨਾ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੀ ਨਾ ਸੁਰਤ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਮੁੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਬਾਲਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਗਿਆ।
and Gehazi to pass to/for face: before their and to set: put [obj] [the] staff upon face [the] youth and nothing voice: sound and nothing attentiveness and to return: return to/for to encounter: meet him and to tell to/for him to/for to say not to awake [the] youth
and to come (in): come Elisha [the] house: home [to] and behold [the] youth to die to lie down: lay down upon bed his
and to come (in): come and to shut [the] door about/through/for two their and to pray to(wards) LORD
34 ੩੪ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੇਟ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਸਰ ਗਿਆ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਬੱਚੇ ਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਨਿੱਘਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

35 ੩੫ ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰੀ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਧਰ-ਉੱਧਰ ਟਹਿਲਿਆ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਸਰ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਸੱਤ ਵਾਰੀ ਛਿੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਡੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ।

36 ੩੬ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਗੇਹਾਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸ ਸ਼ੂਨੰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਲੈ।” ਸੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲੈ।”

39 ੩੯ ਇੱਕ ਜਣਾ ਬਾਹਰ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਜੀ ਲੈਣ ਗਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਵੇਲ ਲੱਭੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਕੱਦੂ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਝੋਲੀ ਭਰ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਤਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਫਾੜੀਆਂ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।

40 ੪੦ ਸੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਭਾਜੀ ਖਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਚੀਕ ਉੱਠੇ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ, ਦੇਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਮੌਤ ਹੈ! ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਖਾ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ।

41 ੪੧ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਆਟਾ ਲਿਆਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ,” ਤਦ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਓ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਖਾਣ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਕਸਰ ਨਾ ਰਹੀ।

42 ੪੨ ਬਆਲ-ਸ਼ਲੀਸ਼ਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਜਨ ਲਈ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਫਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੌਂਵਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਵੀਹ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਅਨਾਜ ਦੇ ਹਰੇ-ਹਰੇ ਸਿੱਟੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਝੋਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਇਆ। ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਖਾਣ।”

43 ੪੩ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਸੌ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਹ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਰੱਖ ਸਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ?” ਅੱਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਖਾਣ।” ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਖਾਣਗੇ ਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਛੱਡਣਗੇ।
