2 ਰਾਜਿਆਂ 20
1 ੧ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਆਮੋਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਪਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਚੇਂਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
About that time was Hezekiah sicke vnto death: and the Prophet Isaiah the sonne of Amoz came to him, and said vnto him, Thus saith the Lord, Put thine house in an order: for thou shalt die, and not liue.
Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the Lord, saying,
3 ੩ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਯਾਦ ਕਰੀਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਖਰਿਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਹੋ ਮੈਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਤਦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਭੁੱਬਾਂ ਮਾਰ-ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਰੋਇਆ।
I beseech thee, O Lord, remember nowe, howe I haue walked before thee in trueth and with a perfite heart, and haue done that which is good in thy sight: and Hezekiah wept sore.
4 ੪ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ।
And afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle of the court, the worde of the Lord came to him, saying,
5 ੫ ਕਿ ਮੁੜ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸੁਣੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਥਰੂ ਵੇਖ ਲਏ ਹਨ। ਵੇਖ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਏਂਗਾ।
Turne againe, and tell Hezekiah the captaine of my people, Thus saith the Lord God of Dauid thy father, I haue heard thy prayer, and seene thy teares: behold, I haue healed thee, and ye third day thou shalt go vp to ye house of ye Lord,
6 ੬ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਦਰਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਹੋਰ ਵਧਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
And I wil adde vnto thy dayes fiftene yere, and wil deliuer thee and this citie out of the hand of the King of Asshur, and will defende this citie for mine owne sake, and for Dauid my seruats sake.
7 ੭ ਤਾਂ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੰਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਲੁਪਰੀ ਲਓ। ਸੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਫੋੜੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੰਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
Then Isaiah sayde, Take a lumpe of dry figges. And they tooke it, and layed it on the boyle, and he recouered.
8 ੮ ਫੇਰ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ?
For Hezekiah had saide vnto Isaiah, What shalbe the signe that the Lord will heale me, and that I shall goe vp into the house of the Lord the thirde day?
9 ੯ ਤਦ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਪਰਛਾਵਾਂ ਦਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਅਗਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਏ ਜਾਂ ਦਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਪਿਛਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜੇ?
And Isaiah answered, This signe shalt thou haue of the Lord, that the Lord will doe that he hath spoken, Wilt thou that the shadowe goe forwarde ten degrees, or go backe ten degrees?
10 ੧੦ ਤਾਂ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਰਛਾਵੇਂ ਦਾ ਦਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਅਗਾਹਾਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਤਾਂ ਨਿੱਕੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ। ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਪਰਛਾਵਾਂ ਦਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਪਿਛਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜੇ।
And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadowe to passe forward ten degrees: not so then, but let ye shadow go backe ten degrees.
11 ੧੧ ਫਿਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ ਸੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਰਛਾਵੇਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਹਾਜ਼ ਦੀ ਧੁੱਪ ਘੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਸ ਦਰਜੇ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਜਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਢੱਲ਼ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਸੀ, ਓਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
And Isaiah the Prophet called vnto the Lord, and he brought againe the shadowe ten degrees backe by the degrees whereby it had gone downe in the diall of Ahaz.
12 ੧੨ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਬਲਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਰੋਦਕ-ਬਲਦਾਨ ਨੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਠੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਗ਼ਾਤ ਭੇਜੀ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
The same season Berodach Baladan the sonne of Baladan King of Babel, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard howe that Hezekiah was sicke.
13 ੧੩ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਤੋਸ਼ਾ-ਖ਼ਾਨਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ, ਚਾਂਦੀ, ਸੋਨਾ, ਮਸਾਲਾ, ਖ਼ਾਲਸ ਤੇਲ, ਆਪਣਾ ਸ਼ਸਤਰ-ਖ਼ਾਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ।
And Hezekiah heard them, and shewed them all his treasure house, to wit, the siluer, and the golde, and the spices, and the precious oyntment, and all the house of his armour, and al that was founde in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, and in all his realme, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
14 ੧੪ ਤਦ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਿੱਥੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਹਨ? ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਰ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਬਾਬਲ ਤੋਂ।
Then Isaiah the Prophet came vnto King Hezekiah, and saide vnto him, What saide these men? and from whence came they to thee? And Hezekiah said, They be come from a farre countrey, euen from Babel.
15 ੧੫ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ-ਕੀ ਵੇਖਿਆ? ਤਦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰਿਆਂ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਿਖਾਈ।
Then saide he, What haue they seene in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house haue they seene: there is nothing among my treasures, that I haue not shewed the.
And Isaiah said vnto Hezekiah, Heare the worde of the Lord.
17 ੧੭ ਵੇਖ ਉਹ ਦਿਨ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਦ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਜਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
Beholde, the dayes come, that all that is in thine house, and what so euer thy fathers haue layed vp in store vnto this day, shall be caryed into Babel: Nothing shall be left, saith the Lord.
18 ੧੮ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਿਆਂ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਜੰਮਣਗੇ, ਕਈਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਓਹ ਲੈ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁਸਰੇ ਬਣਨਗੇ।
And of thy sonnes, that shall proceede out of thee, and which thou shalt beget, shall they take away, and they shalbe eunuches in the palace of the King of Babel.
19 ੧੯ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਨ ਰਹੇਗਾ?
Then Hezekiah said vnto Isaiah, The word of the Lord which thou hast spoken, is good: for saide he, Shall it not be good, if peace and trueth be in my dayes?
20 ੨੦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਕੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਤਲਾਬ ਤੇ ਨਾਲੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਣੀ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ?
Concerning the rest of the actes of Hezekiah, and all his valiant deedes, and howe he made a poole and a cundite, and brought water into the citie, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Iudah?
And Hezekiah slept with his fathers: and Manasseh his sonne reigned in his steade.
