2 ਰਾਜਿਆਂ 19
1 ੧ ਜਦੋਂ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਪਾੜੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਤੱਪੜ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ।
It happened, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he tore his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of YHWH.
2 ੨ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਯਾਕੀਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਹਿਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਬਨਾ ਮੁਨੀਮ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੱਪੜ ਪੁਆ ਕੇ ਆਮੋਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
He sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.
3 ੩ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਦਿਨ ਦੁੱਖ, ਘੁਰਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਬੱਚੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੰਮਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਜਣਨ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹੀ।
They said to him, "Thus says Hezekiah, 'This day is a day of trouble, of rebuke, and of rejection; for the children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to deliver them.
4 ੪ ਕੀ ਪਤਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਰਬਸ਼ਾਕੇਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਬਚਿਆਂ-ਖੁਚਿਆਂ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰ।
It may be YHWH your God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to defy the living God, and will rebuke the words which YHWH your God has heard. Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.'"
So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.
6 ੬ ਅਤੇ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਓ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੁਫ਼ਰ ਬਕਿਆ ਹੈ, ਨਾ ਡਰੀਂ।
Isaiah said to them, "Thus you shall tell your master, 'Thus says YHWH, "Do not be afraid of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
7 ੭ ਵੇਖ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਰੂਹ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਅਫ਼ਵਾਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਵਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
Look, I will put a spirit in him, and he will hear news, and will return to his own land. I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land."'"
8 ੮ ਸੋ ਰਬਸ਼ਾਕੇਹ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਬਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪਾਇਆ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲਾਕੀਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah; for he had heard that he had departed from Lachish.
9 ੯ ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੂਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਤਿਰਹਾਕਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਵੇਖ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਭੇਜੇ।
When he heard it said of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, "Look, he has come out to fight against you," he sent messengers again to Hezekiah, saying,
10 ੧੦ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਣਾ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਹੈ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇ ਕਿ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
'Thus you shall speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, "Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying, Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.
11 ੧੧ ਵੇਖ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ। ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਛੁੱਟ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ?
Look, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly. Will you be delivered?
12 ੧੨ ਕੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਗੋਜ਼ਾਨ, ਹਾਰਾਨ, ਰਸ਼ਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਅਦਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਤਲਾੱਸਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਨਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ ਸੀ?
Have the gods of the nations delivered them, which my fathers have destroyed, Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the people of Eden that were in Telassar?
Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivvah?"'"
14 ੧੪ ਜਦ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਉਹ ਪੱਤਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ, ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਰੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Hezekiah received the letter from the hand of the messengers, and read it. Then Hezekiah went up to the house of YHWH, and spread it before YHWH.
15 ੧੫ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਹੇ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਕਰੂਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਰਾਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ, ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
Hezekiah prayed before YHWH, and said, "YHWH, the God of Israel, who sit above the cherubim, you are the God, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth.
16 ੧੬ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਨ ਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣ! ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖ! ਤੂੰ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਖਵਾ ਘੱਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Incline your ear, YHWH, and hear. Open your eyes, YHWH, and see. Hear the words of Sennacherib, with which he has sent to defy the living God.
Truly, YHWH, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands,
18 ੧੮ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ, ਸਗੋਂ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਕਾਰੀਗਰੀ, ਲੱਕੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਸਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone. Therefore they have destroyed them.
19 ੧੯ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਕੱਲਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈਂ।
Now therefore, YHWH our God, save us, I beg you, out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you, YHWH, are God alone."
20 ੨੦ ਤਦ ਆਮੋਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਤੂੰ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, "Thus says YHWH, the God of Israel, 'Whereas you have prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard you.
21 ੨੧ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਇਹ ਹੈ, ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੀ ਕੁਆਰੀ ਧੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਤੁੱਛ ਜਾਣਦੀ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਖ਼ੌਲ ਉਡਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਸਿਰ ਹਿਲਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
This is the word that YHWH has spoken concerning him: "The virgin daughter of Zion has despised you and ridiculed you. The daughter of Jerusalem has shaken her head at you.
22 ੨੨ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੁਫ਼ਰ ਬਕਿਆ ਹੈ? ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਉੱਚੀ ਕੀਤੀ? ਹਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਘਮੰਡ ਨਾਲ, ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖੀਆਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਚੁੱਕੀਆਂ।
Whom have you defied and blasphemed? Against whom have you exalted your voice and lifted up your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Israel.
23 ੨੩ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲੀਆਂ ਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਹਲਿਆਂ ਰਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟੀਸੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਲਬਾਨੋਨ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਤੱਕ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਦਿਆਰ, ਤੇ ਵਧੀਆ ਤੋਂ ਵਧੀਆ ਸਰੂ ਵੱਢ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਟੀਸੀ ਦੇ ਟਿਕਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਫਲਦਾਰ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਵਾੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਵੜਿਆ।
By your messengers you have defied YHWH, and have said, 'With the multitude of my chariots, I have come up to the height of the mountains, to the innermost parts of Lebanon; and I will cut down its tall cedars, and its choice fir trees; and I will enter into his farthest lodging place, the forest of his fruitful field.
24 ੨੪ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਪੁੱਟ-ਪੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਪਰਦੇਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਪੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਤਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
I have dug and drunk strange waters, and with the sole of my feet will I dry up all the rivers of Egypt.'
25 ੨੫ ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਬਹੁਤ ਚਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਠਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ? ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ-ਪੁਜਾੜ ਕੇ ਖੰਡਰ ਕਰ ਛੱਡੇਂ।
Haven't you heard how I have done it long ago, and formed it of ancient times? Now have I brought it to pass, that it should be yours to lay waste fortified cities into ruinous heaps.
26 ੨੬ ਸੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਨਿਰਬਲ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ, ਘਬਰਾ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਉਹ ਖੇਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਗ ਪੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੀ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਛੱਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਾ ਘਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਨ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਜੋ ਉੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਵੇ।
Therefore their inhabitants were of small power. They were dismayed and confounded. They were like the grass of the field, and like the green herb, like the grass on the rooftops when it is scorched by the east wind.
But I know your sitting down, and your going out, and your coming in, and your raging against me.
28 ੨੮ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਿਝਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਨਕੇਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਨੱਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਲਗਾਮ ਤੇਰੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਉਸੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਛਾਹਾਂ ਮੋੜ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
Because of your raging against me, and because your arrogance has come up into my ears, therefore I will put my hook in your nose, and my bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back by the way by which you came."
29 ੨੯ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਉਹ ਖਾਓ ਜੋ ਕਿਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੀ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਗੇ, ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਉਹ ਜੋ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਪਤ ਹੋਵੇ, ਤਦ ਤੀਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੀ ਬੀਜੋ ਤੇ ਵੱਢੋ, ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਬਾਗ਼ ਲਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਫਲ ਖਾਓ।
"'This shall be the sign to you: You shall eat this year that which grows of itself, and in the second year that which springs of the same; and in the third year sow, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat its fruit.
30 ੩੦ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਬਚੇ-ਖੁਚੇ ਜੋ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਚ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਫੇਰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੜ੍ਹ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਲਣਗੇ।
The remnant that has escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.
31 ੩੧ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇੱਕ ਬਕੀਆ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲਣਗੇ। ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਣਖ ਇਹ ਕਰੇਗੀ।
For out of Jerusalem a remnant will go out, and out of Mount Zion those who shall escape. The zeal of YHWH of hosts will do this.'
32 ੩੨ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕੋਲ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਨਾ ਐਥੇ ਤੀਰ ਚਲਾਵੇਗਾ। ਨਾ ਢਾਲ਼ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤੇ ਨਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਘੇਰਾ ਬਣਾਵੇਗਾ।
"Therefore thus says YHWH concerning the king of Assyria, 'He shall not come to this city, nor shoot an arrow there, neither shall he come before it with shield, nor cast up a mound against it.
By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and he shall not come to this city,' says YHWH.
34 ੩੪ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਨਮਿੱਤ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਂਭ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ।
'For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake, and for my servant David's sake.'"
35 ੩੫ ਫਿਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਉਸੇ ਰਾਤ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਪਚਾਸੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਲੋਕ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉੱਠੇ, ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਹੀ ਲੋਥਾਂ ਸਨ।
It happened that night, that the angel of YHWH went out, and struck one hundred eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When men arose early in the morning, look, these were all dead bodies.
So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and lived at Nineveh.
37 ੩੭ ਫੇਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨਿਸਰੋਕ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੂਜਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਅਦਰਮਲਕ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਰਸਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੱਢ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਰਾਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਏਸਰ-ਹੱਦੋਨ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
It happened, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer struck him with the sword; and they escaped into the land of Ararat. Esarhaddon his son reigned in his place.
