1 ਸਮੂਏਲ 1
1 ੧ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਮਾਤੈਮ ਸੋਫ਼ੀਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਲਕਾਨਾਹ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਯਰੋਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਅਲੀਹੂ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜੋ ਤੋਹੁ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਜੋ ਸੂਫ਼ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਥੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ।
and to be man one from [the] Ramathaim-zophim Ramathaim-zophim from mountain: hill country Ephraim and name his Elkanah son: child Jeroham son: child Elihu son: child Tohu son: child Zuph Ephraimite
2 ੨ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੋ ਪਤਨੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਇੱਕ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਨਿੰਨਾਹ ਸੀ। ਪਨਿੰਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।
and to/for him two woman: wife name one Hannah and name [the] second Peninnah and to be to/for Peninnah youth and to/for Hannah nothing youth
3 ੩ ਅਲਕਾਨਾਹ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਏਲੀ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਾਫ਼ਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੀਨਹਾਸ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਸਨ।

4 ੪ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਲਕਾਨਾਹ ਭੇਂਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਪਨਿੰਨਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
and to be [the] day and to sacrifice Elkanah and to give: give to/for Peninnah woman: wife his and to/for all son: child her and daughter her portion
5 ੫ ਪਰ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਗਣਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਖ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਛੱਡੀ ਸੀ।
and to/for Hannah to give: give portion one face for [obj] Hannah to love: lover and LORD to shut womb her
and to provoke her vexer her also vexation in/on/with for the sake of to thunder her for to shut LORD about/through/for womb her
7 ੭ ਹਰੇਕ ਸਾਲ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਦ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਖਿਝਾਉਂਦੀ ਸੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਰੋਂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਖਾਂਦੀ ਸੀ।
and so to make: do year in/on/with year from sufficiency to ascend: rise she in/on/with house: temple LORD so to provoke her and to weep and not to eat
8 ੮ ਸੋ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਅਲਕਾਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਹੰਨਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਰੋਂਦੀ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਖਾਂਦੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਕੁੜਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ? ਭਲਾ, ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਦਸ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ?
and to say to/for her Elkanah man: husband her Hannah to/for what? to weep and to/for what? not to eat and to/for what? be ill heart your not I pleasant to/for you from ten son: child
9 ੯ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾ ਪੀ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਤਾਂ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਉੱਠੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਏਲੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਦੀ ਚੁਗਾਠ ਕੋਲ ਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
and to arise: rise Hannah after to eat in/on/with Shiloh and after to drink and Eli [the] priest to dwell upon [the] throne: seat upon doorpost temple LORD
and he/she/it bitter soul: myself and to pray upon LORD and to weep to weep
11 ੧੧ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਸੁੱਖਣਾ ਸੁੱਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਭੁਲਾਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਿਰ ਉਹ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਆਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਸਤਰਾ ਕਦੀ ਨਾ ਫਿਰੇਗਾ।
and to vow vow and to say LORD Hosts if to see: see to see: see in/on/with affliction maidservant your and to remember me and not to forget [obj] maidservant your and to give: give to/for maidservant your seed: children human and to give: give him to/for LORD all day life his and razor not to ascend: rise upon head his

13 ੧੩ ਪਰ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਆਖਦੀ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬੁੱਲ ਹੀ ਹਿੱਲਦੇ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਸੋ ਏਲੀ ਨੇ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਸ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ
and Hannah he/she/it to speak: speak upon heart her except lips her to shake and voice her not to hear: hear and to devise: think her Eli to/for drunken
and to say to(wards) her Eli till how be drunk [emph?] to turn aside: remove [obj] wine your from upon you
15 ੧੫ ਤਦ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਨਹੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ, ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਦਾਸ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਔਰਤ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੈ ਜਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਡੋਲ੍ਹਿਆ ਹੈ।
and to answer Hannah and to say not lord my woman severe spirit I and wine and strong drink not to drink and to pour: pour [obj] soul my to/for face: before LORD
16 ੧੬ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਰੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ। ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਢੇਰ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ, ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ।
not to give: make [obj] maidservant your to/for face of daughter Belial for from abundance complaint my and vexation my to speak: speak till here/thus
17 ੧੭ ਤਦ ਏਲੀ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰੇ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਗੀ ਹੈ।
and to answer Eli and to say to go: went to/for peace and God Israel to give: give [obj] petition your which to ask from from with him
18 ੧੮ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਯਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਵੇ। ਤਦ ਉਸ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਚਿਹਰਾ ਉਦਾਸ ਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ।
and to say to find maidservant your favor in/on/with eye: appearance your and to go: went [the] woman to/for way: journey her and to eat and face her not to be to/for her still
19 ੧੯ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਰਾਮਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਆਏ। ਤਦ ਅਲਕਾਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕੀਤਾ,
and to rise in/on/with morning and to bow to/for face: before LORD and to return: return and to come (in): marry to(wards) house: home their [the] Ramah [to] and to know Elkanah [obj] Hannah woman: wife his and to remember her LORD
20 ੨੦ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਜਦ ਦਿਨ ਪੂਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਸਨੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਭਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੰਗ ਕੇ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
and to be to/for circuit [the] day and to conceive Hannah and to beget son: child and to call: call by [obj] name his Samuel for from LORD to ask him
and to ascend: rise [the] man Elkanah and all house: home his to/for to sacrifice to/for LORD [obj] sacrifice [the] day: year and [obj] vow his
22 ੨੨ ਪਰ ਹੰਨਾਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਿਰ ਬਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਧ ਨਾ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਾਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗੀ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਫੇਰ ਸਦਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਰਹੇ।
and Hannah not to ascend: rise for to say to/for man: husband her till to wean [the] youth and to come (in): bring him and to see: see with face: before LORD and to dwell there till forever: enduring
23 ੨੩ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਤੀ ਅਲਕਾਨਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗੇ ਉਹੀ ਕਰ। ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਧ ਨਾ ਛੁਡਾਵੇਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਿ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਚਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਠਹਿਰੀ ਰਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਧ ਚੁੰਘਾਉਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਧ ਨਾ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
and to say to/for her Elkanah man: husband her to make: do [the] pleasant in/on/with eye: appearance your to dwell till to wean you [obj] him surely to arise: establish LORD [obj] word his and to dwell [the] woman and to suckle [obj] son: child her till (to wean she *LAH(b)*) [obj] him
24 ੨੪ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦੁੱਧ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਛਾ, ਦਸ ਕਿੱਲੋ ਆਟਾ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਖ਼ਰਸ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਮੇਸ਼ੇਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਆਈ ਉਹ ਬਾਲਕ ਅਜੇ ਨਿਆਣਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ।
and to ascend: rise him with her like/as as which to wean him in/on/with bullock three and ephah one flour and bag wine and to come (in): bring him house: temple LORD Shiloh and [the] youth youth
and to slaughter [obj] [the] bullock and to come (in): bring [obj] [the] youth to(wards) Eli
26 ੨੬ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬੋਲੀ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਤੇਰੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਸਹੁੰ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਮੈਂ ਉਹੋ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ
and to say please lord my alive soul: myself your lord my I [the] woman [the] to stand with you in/on/with this to/for to pray to(wards) LORD
to(wards) [the] youth [the] this to pray and to give: give LORD to/for me [obj] petition my which to ask from from with him
28 ੨੮ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਇਹ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਰਹੇ, ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੀ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਿਆ।
and also I to ask him to/for LORD all [the] day which to be he/she/it to ask to/for LORD and to bow there to/for LORD
