1 ਇਤਿਹਾਸ 11
1 ੧ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਊਦ ਕੋਲ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਵੇਖੋ, ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਹੀ ਹੱਡੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਸ ਹਾਂ
And they gathered together all Israel to David Hebron towards saying here! [are] bone your and flesh your we.
2 ੨ ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਸਾਡਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ ਤਦ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਚਰਵਾਹਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ।
Both yesterday as well as three days ago also when was Saul king you [were] the [one who] led out and the [one who] brought Israel and he said Yahweh God your to you you you will shepherd people my Israel and you you will be ruler over people my Israel.
3 ੩ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਇਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ।
And they came all [the] elders of Israel to the king Hebron towards and he made to them David a covenant at Hebron before Yahweh and they anointed David to king over Israel according to [the] word of Yahweh by [the] hand of Samuel.
4 ੪ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਬੂਸ ਵੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਭੂਮੀ ਦੇ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਯਬੂਸੀ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ
And he went David and all Israel Jerusalem it [was] Jebus and [were] there the Jebusite[s] [the] inhabitants of the land.
5 ੫ ਅਤੇ ਯਬੂਸ ਦੇ ਵਸਨੀਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਇੱਥੇ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਪਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦਾ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਸ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਨਗਰ ਹੋਇਆ
And they said [the] inhabitants of Jebus to David not you will enter here and he captured David [the] stronghold of Zion it [was] [the] city of David.
6 ੬ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯਬੂਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਲਵੇਗਾ, ਉਹੋ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ, ਤਾਂ ਸਰੂਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਆਬ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਚੜਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਹੋਇਆ।
And he had said David any [one who] strikes down a Jebusite at the first he will become a chief and a commander and he went up at the first Joab [the] son of Zeruiah and he became a chief.
And he dwelt David in the fortress there-fore people called it [the] city of David.
8 ੮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਸਿਓਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ, ਅਰਥਾਤ ਮਿੱਲੋ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਤੱਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਪਨਾਹ ਬਣਾਈ, ਅਤੇ ਯੋਆਬ ਨੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ,
And he built the city from round about from the Millo and to the surroundings and Joab he restored [the] remainder of the city.
And he went David continuously and becoming great and Yahweh of hosts [was] with him.
10 ੧੦ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਸੂਰਬੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਏ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਜੋਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਿਹ ਦੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ, ਇਹ ਹਨ
And these [were] [the] chiefs of the mighty [men] who [belonged] to David who held strongly with him in kingdom his with all Israel to make king him according to [the] word of Yahweh on Israel.
11 ੧੧ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਇਹ ਹੈ, ਹਕਮੋਨੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਸ਼ਾਬਆਮ ਸੂਬੇਦਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸੌ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਰਛਾ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕੋ ਵਾਰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ
And these [are] [the] number of the mighty [men] who [belonged] to David Jashobeam a son of a Hacmonite [was] [the] chief of (the officers *Q(K)*) he he wielded spear his on three hundred [one] slain at a time one.
And after him Eleazar [the] son of Dodo the Ahohite he [was] among three the mighty [men].
13 ੧੩ ਉਹ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਫਸਦੰਮੀਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਟੁੱਕੜਾ ਪੈਲੀ ਦਾ ਜੌਂਵਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ,
He he was with David at Pas Dammim and the Philistines they were gathered there for battle and it was [the] portion of the field full barley and the people they fled from before [the] Philistines.
14 ੧੪ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਪੈਲੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ, ਸੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਜਿੱਤ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
And they took their stand in [the] middle of the portion and they defended it and they struck down [the] Philistines and he delivered Yahweh a deliverance great.
15 ੧੫ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੀਹ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਤੇ ਅਦੁੱਲਾਮ ਦੀ ਗੁਫ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਊਦ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਰਫ਼ਾਈਮ ਦੀ ਘਾਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਾਉਣੀ ਪਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ
And they went down three of the thirty chief to the rock to David to [the] cave of Adullam and [the] camp of [the] Philistines [was] encamped in [the] valley of [the] Rephaites.
And David then [was] in the stronghold and [the] garrison of [the] Philistines then [was] at Beth-lehem.
17 ੧੭ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਤਰਸਦਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕਾਸ਼! ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਦੇ ਉਸ ਖੂਹ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਘੁੱਟ ਪਾਣੀ ਪਿਲਾਵੇ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਫਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ
(And he craved *Q(k)*) David and he said who? will he give to drink me water from [the] well of Beth-lehem which [is] at the gate.
18 ੧੮ ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡੇਰੇ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘ ਕੇ ਬੈਤਲਹਮ ਦੇ ਖੂਹ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਣੀ ਭਰਿਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਫਾਟਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਪੀਤਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ
And they broke through the three in [the] camp of [the] Philistines and they drew water from [the] well of Beth-lehem which [was] at the gate and they carried [them] and they brought [them] to David and not he was willing David to drink them and he poured out them to Yahweh.
19 ੧੯ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਇਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਂ, ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਪੀਵਾਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਥੇਲੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਰਿਆ ਹੈ? ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਤਲੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਏ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੀਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੇ।
And he said far be it to me from God my from doing this [thing] ¿ [the] blood of the men these will I drink by lives their for by lives their they brought them and not he was willing to drink them these [things] they did [the] three the mighty [men].
20 ੨੦ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਆਬ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਅਬੀਸ਼ਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੁਖੀਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸੌ ਜਣਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਬਰਛਾ ਚਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਾਮੀ ਬਣਿਆ।
And Abishai [the] brother of Joab he he was [the] chief of the three and he he wielded spear his on three hundred [one] slain (and [belonged] to him *Q(K)*) a name with the three.
21 ੨੧ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਪਤਵੰਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਨਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ।
More than the three by twofold [he was] honored and he became of them a commander and to the three not he came.
22 ੨੨ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਦਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਨਾਯਾਹ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇੱਕ ਕਬਸਿਏਲੀ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੀ ਬਹਾਦੁਰੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤੇ ਸਨ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਰਗੇ ਜੁਆਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਫ਼ ਦੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਏ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ
Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada [was] a son of a man of strength great of deeds from Kabzeel he he struck down two Ariel of Moab and he he went down and he struck down the lion in [the] midst of the pit on [the] day of the snow.
23 ੨੩ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੰਜ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਲੰਮੇ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਜੁਆਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੁਲਾਹੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਤੀਰ ਵਰਗਾ ਇੱਕ ਬਰਛਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਲਾਠੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਉਤਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਬਰਛਾ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਦੇ ਬਰਛੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।
And he he struck down the man Egyptian a man of stature - five by the cubit and [was] in [the] hand of the Egyptian a spear like a beam of weavers and he went down to him with the club and he tore away the spear from [the] hand of the Egyptian and he killed him with own spear his.
These [things] he did Benaiah [the] son of Jehoiada and [belonged] to him a name with three the mighty [men].
25 ੨੫ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੀਹਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਪਤਵੰਤਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਨਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਖਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
More than the thirty there he [was] honored he and to the three not he came and he appointed him David over bodyguard his.
And [the] mighty [men] of strength Asah-el [the] brother of Joab Elhanan [the] son of Dodo from Beth-lehem.
Shammoth the Harorite Helez the Pelonite.
Ira [the] son of Ikkesh the Tekoite Abiezer the Anathothite.
Sibbecai the Hushathite Ilai the Ahohite.
Maharai the Netophathite Heled [the] son of Baanah the Netophathite.
Ittai [the] son of Ribai from Gibeah of [the] descendants of Benjamin. Benaiah the Pirathonite.
Hurai from [the] wadis of Gaash. Abiel the Arbathite.
Azmaveth the Baharumite Eliahba the Shaalbonite.
[the] sons of Hashem the Gizonite Jonathan [the] son of Shageh the Hararite.
Ahiam [the] son of Sakar the Hararite Eliphal [the] son of Ur.
Hepher the Mekerathite Ahijah the Pelonite.
Hezro the Carmelite Naarai [the] son of Ezbai.
Joel [the] brother of Nathan Mibhar [the] son of Hagri.
Zelek the Ammonite Naharai the Beerothite [the] bearer of [the] weapons of Joab [the] son of Zeruiah.
Ira the Ithrite Gareb the Ithrite.
Uriah the Hittite Zabad [the] son of Ahlai.
Adina [the] son of Shiza the Reubenite a chief of the Reubenite[s] and with him thirty [warriors].
Hanan [the] son of Maacah and Joshaphat the Mithnite.
Uzzia the Ashterathite Shama (and Jeiel *Q(K)*) [the] sons of Hotham the Aroerite.
Jediael [the] son of Shimri and Joha brother his the Tizite.
Eliel the Mahavite and Jeribai and Joshaviah [the] sons of Elnaam and Ithmah the Moabite.
Eliel and Obed and Jaasiel the Mezobaite.
