1 Yaa obboleettii ko, misirrittii ko, ani dhufee biqiltuu koo seeneera; ani qumbii koo urgooftuu koo wajjin walitti qabadheera. Ani dhaaba damma koo nadhii isaa wajjin nyaadheera; daadhii wayinii koos aannan koo wajjin dhugeera. Michoota Yaa michoota, nyaadhaa dhugaa; jaalalas dhugaa quufaa.
I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved.
2 Ani rafeera; garaan koo garuu dammaqeera. Mee dhaggeeffadhaa! Michuun koo balbala rurrukutaa jiraatii; inni akkana jedha; “Yaa obboleettii ko, miidhagduu ko, gugee koo kan mudaa hin qabne, balbala naaf bani. Mataan koo fixeensaan, rifeensi koos jiidha halkaniitiin tortoreera.”
I sleep, but my heart wakes: it is the voice of my beloved that knocks, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.
3 Ani uffata koo of irraa baaseera; akkamittan deebisee uffadha ree? Miilla koo dhiqadheera; akkamittan deebisee xureessa ree?
I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them?
4 Michuun koo qaawwa balbalaatiin harka galche; lapheen koo isaaf ni dhaʼate.
My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.
5 Ani michuu kootiif balbala banuuf nan kaʼe; qabannoo balbalaa irrattis harka koo irraa qumbiin, quba koo irraa immoo qumbiin dhangalaʼaan coccobe.
I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, upon the handles of the lock.
6 Ani michuu kootiif balbala nan bane; michuun koo garuu achi hin jiru; inni deemeera. Deemuu isaattis garaan koo ni rifate. Ani isa nan barbaade; garuu hin arganne. Ani isa nan waame; inni garuu hin owwaanne.
I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: my soul failed when he spoke: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer.
7 Eegdonni utuu magaalaa keessa naannaʼanuu na argan. Isaanis na reebanii na madeessan; warri dallaa eegan sunis wayyaa koo narraa baafatan!
The watchmen that went about the city found me, they stroke me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.
8 Yaa intallan Yerusaalem, isin michuun koo yoo argitan jaalalaan dhukkubsachuu koo akka isatti naaf himtan isinan kakachiisa.
I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if all of you find my beloved, that all of you tell him, that I am sick of love.
9 Yaa ishee dubartoota hunda caalaa bareeddu, michuun kee maaliin warra kaan caala? Ati kan akkas nu kakachiiftu, michuun kee maaliin warra kaan caala?
What is your beloved more than another beloved, O you fairest among women? what is your beloved more than another beloved, that you do so charge us?
10 Michuun koo diimaa cululuqaa dha; inni namoota kuma kudhan keessaa ni mulʼata.
My beloved is white and rosy, the chiefest among ten thousand.
11 Mataan isaa warqee akka malee qulqulluu dha; rifeensi mataa isaa jigaa dha; akkuma arraagessaas gurraacha.
His head is as the most fine gold, his locks are bushy, and black as a raven.
12 Iji isaa akkuma gugee burqaa bishaanii biraa kan aannaniin dhiqamee akka faayaatti kaaʼatamuu dha.
His eyes are as the eyes of doves by the rivers of waters, washed with milk, and fitly set.
13 Maddiin isaa akkuma madabii biqiltuu urgooftuu kan shittoo baasuu ti. Hidhiin isaa akkuma daraaraa qumbiin irraa coccobuu ti.
His cheeks are as a bed of spices, as sweet flowers: his lips like lilies, dropping sweet smelling myrrh.
14 Harki isaa ulee warqee kan biiraleedhaan faayeffamee dha. Dhagni isaa akkuma ilka arbaa kan sanpeeriin miidhagfamee dha.
His hands are as gold rings set with the beryl: his belly is as bright ivory overlaid with sapphires.
15 Miilli isaa utubaa dhagaa adii kan baattuu warqee qulqulluu irraa hojjetame irra dhaabamee dha. Bifti isaa akkuma Libaanoon, akkuma birbirsaa Libaanoon filatamaa dha.
His legs are as pillars of marble, set upon sockets of fine gold: his countenance is as Lebanon, excellent as the cedars.
16 Dubbiin isaa waan hunda caalaa miʼaawaa dha; inni guutumaan guutuutti namatti tola. Yaa intallan Yerusaalem, kun michuu koo ti; kun michuu koo ti.
His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.
