1 Ani Kiristoosiin dhugaa nan dubbadha; ani hin sobu; yaadni koos Hafuura Qulqulluudhaan naa mirkaneessa;
I seie treuthe in Crist Jhesu, Y lye not, for my conscience berith witnessyng to me in the Hooli Goost,
2 ani gadda guddaa fi dhiphina wal irraa hin cinne garaa koo keessaa qaba.
for greet heuynesse is to me, and contynuel sorewe to my herte.
3 Ani iyyuu obboloota koo warra akka fooniitti sanyii koo taʼaniif jedhee utuun Kiristoos irraa gargar baʼee abaaramee nan hawwa tureetii;
For Y my silf desiride to be departid fro Crist for my britheren, that ben my cosyns aftir the fleisch, that ben men of Israel;
4 isaan saba Israaʼel. Ilmummaan, ulfinni, kakuun, seera fudhachuun, tajaajiluu fi waadaan kan isaanii ti.
whos is adopcioun of sones, and glorie, and testament, and yyuyng of the lawe, and seruyce, and biheestis;
5 Abbootiin kan isaanii ti; Kiristoosis isaan irraa fooniin dhalate; inni waan hunda irratti Waaqa; inni bara baraan haa eebbifamu! Ameen. (aiōn g165)
whos ben the fadris, and of which is Crist after the fleisch, that is God aboue alle thingis, blessid in to worldis. (aiōn g165)
6 Kun garuu dubbiin Waaqaa diigameera jechuu miti. Kan Israaʼel irraa dhalate hundi Israaʼel miti.
Amen. But not that the word of God hath falle doun. For not alle that ben of Israel, these ben Israelitis.
7 Yookaan isaan sababii sanyii Abrahaam taʼaniif hundi isaanii ijoollee isaa miti. Garuu, “Sanyiin kee Yisihaaqiin siif waamama” jedhameera.
Nethir thei that ben seed of Abraham, `alle ben sonys; but in Ysaac the seed schal be clepid to thee;
8 Kana jechuunis ijoollee waadaatu sanyiitti lakkaaʼama malee ijoolleen foon irraa dhalatan ijoollee Waaqaa miti.
that is to seie, not thei that ben sones of the fleisch, ben sones of God, but thei that ben sones of biheeste ben demed in the seed.
9 Dubbiin waadaa sunis kan, “Ani yeroo murteeffametti deebiʼee nan dhufa; Saaraanis ilma ni deessi” jedhu tureetii.
For whi this is the word of biheest, Aftir this tyme Y schal come, and a sone schal be to Sare.
10 Kana qofa miti; Ribqaan yeroo namuma tokkoof, abbaa keenya Yisihaaqiif ulfooftetti,
And not oneli sche, but also Rebecca hadde twey sones of o liggyng bi of Ysaac, oure fadir.

not of werkis, but of God clepynge, it was seid to hym,
13 Kunis akkuma, “Yaaqoobin nan jaalladhe; Esaawun garuu nan jibbe” jedhamee barreeffamee dha.
that the more schulde serue the lesse, as it is writun, Y louede Jacob, but Y hatide Esau.
14 Egaa maal jenna ree? Waaqni jalʼaadhaa? Gonkumaa akkas miti!
What therfor schulen we seie? Whether wickidnesse be anentis God?
15 Inni Museedhaan, “Ani kanan maaru nan maara; kanan garaa laafuufiis garaa nan laafa” jedhaatii.
God forbede. For he seith to Moyses, Y schal haue merci on whom Y haue merci; and Y schal yyue merci on whom Y schal haue merci.
16 Kanaafuu wanti kun araara Waaqaatiin malee hawwii yookaan carraaqqii namaatiin miti.
Therfor it is not nether of man willynge, nethir rennynge, but of God hauynge mercy.
17 Katabbiin qulqulluun Faraʼooniin, “Ani humna koo sirratti argisiisuuf, maqaan koos akka lafa hunda irratti labsamuuf kaayyoo kanaaf si kaaseera” jedhaatii.
And the scripture seith to Farao, For to this thing Y haue stirid thee, that Y schewe in thee my vertu, and that my name be teld in al erthe.
18 Kanaaf Waaqni kan maaruu barbaadu ni maara; kan mata jabeessa gochuu barbaadu immoo mata jabeessa godha.
Therfor of whom God wole, he hath merci; and whom he wole, he endurith.
19 Isinis, “Yoos Waaqni maaliif amma iyyuu dogoggora nurra barbaada? Fedhii isaas eenyutu mormuu dandaʼa?” naan jettu.
Thanne seist thou to me, What is souyt yit? for who withstondith his wille?
20 Garuu yaa namichoo, Waaqaan mormuuf ati eenyu? “Wanti tolfame tokko kan isa tolcheen, ‘Ati maaliif akkanatti na tolchite?’” jedhaa?
O! man, who art thou, that answerist to God? Whether a maad thing seith to hym that made it, What hast thou maad me so?
21 Suphee dhooftuun tokko dhoqqee suphee kan bukaaʼe irraa qodaa ulfinaa fi salphinaaf oolu tolchuuf mirga hin qabuu?
Whether a potter of cley hath not power to make of the same gobet o vessel in to honour, an othere in to dispit?
22 Waaqni dheekkamsa isaa argisiisuu fi humna isaas beeksisuuf jedhee yoo miʼa dheekkamsaa kanneen badiisaaf qopheeffaman obsa guddaan bira darbe hoo?
That if God willynge to schewe his wraththe, and to make his power knowun, hath suffrid in greet pacience vessels of wraththe able in to deth,
23 Inni badhaadhummaa ulfina isaa yoo miʼa araara isaa kanneen duraan dursee ulfinaaf qopheessetti beeksisuuf jedhee waan kana godhe hoo?
to schewe the riytchessis of his glorie in to vessels of merci, whiche he made redi in to glorie.
24 Nus warra waamaman keessaa tokkoo dha; inni Yihuudoota qofa keessaa utuu hin taʼin Namoota Ormaa keessaas waameera.
Whiche also he clepide not oneli of Jewis, but also of hethene men, as he seith in Osee,
25 Inni kitaaba Hooseʼaa keessatti akkana jedha: “Ani warra saba koo hin taʼiniin, ‘saba koo’ nan jedha; ishee jaallatamtuu hin taʼiniin immoo, ‘jaallatamtuu’ nan jedha.”
Y schal clepe not my puple my puple, and not my loued my louyd, and not getynge mercy getynge merci;
26 Akkasumas isaan, “Iddoodhuma itti, ‘Isin saba koo miti’ isaaniin jedhame sanatti, ‘ilmaan Waaqa jiraataa’ jedhamanii ni waamamu.”
and it schal be in the place, where it is seid to hem, Not ye my puple, there thei schulen be clepid the sones of `God lyuynge.
27 Isaayyaas akkana jedhee waaʼee Israaʼel iyya: “Baayʼinni ilmaan Israaʼel yoo akkuma cirracha qarqara galaanaa taʼe iyyuu, hambaa qofatu fayya.
But Isaye crieth for Israel, If the noumbre of Israel schal be as grauel of the see, the relifs schulen be maad saaf.
28 Gooftaan utuu hin turin, yeroo dhumaatiif lafa irratti ni muraatii.”
Forsothe a word makynge an ende, and abreggynge in equyte, for the Lord schal make a word breggid on al the erthe.
29 Kunis akkuma Isaayyaas duraan dursee akkana jedhee dubbatee dha: “Utuu Gooftaan Waan Hunda Dandaʼu, sanyii nuuf hambisuu baatee, nu silaa akkuma Sodoom taanee, Gomoraas fakkaanna turre.”
And as Ysaye bifor seide, But God of oostis hadde left to vs seed, we hadden be maad as Sodom, and we hadden be lijk as Gommor.
30 Egaa maal jenna ree? Namoonni Ormaa kan qajeelummaa duukaa hin buʼin qajeelummaa karaa amantiitiin taʼe argataniiru.
Therfor what schulen we seie? That hethene men that sueden not riytwisnesse, han gete riytwisnesse, yhe, the riytwisnesse that is of feith.
31 Israaʼeloonni seera qajeelummaa duukaa buʼan garuu qajeelummaa hin arganne.
But Israel suynge the lawe of riytwisnesse, cam not parfitli in to the lawe of riytwisnesse.
32 Maaliif dhaban? Kunis sababii isaan utuu karaa amantiitiin hin taʼin hojiidhaan qajeelummaa argachuu barbaadaniif; isaanis dhagaa nama gufachiisuun gufatan.
Whi? For not of feith, but as of werkys. And thei spurneden ayens the stoon of offencioun,
33 Kunis akkuma, “Kunoo, ani dhagaa nama gufachiisu, kattaa nama kuffisu Xiyoon keessa nan kaaʼa; namni isatti amanu gonkumaa hin qaanaʼu” jedhamee barreeffame sanaa dha.
as it is writun, Lo! Y putte a stoon of offensioun in Syon, and a stoon of sclaundre; and ech that schal bileue `in it, schal not be confoundid.
