Mulʼata 13
1 Bineensi jawwee fakkaatu sunis cirracha galaanaa irra dhaabate. Bineensa tokkos utuu inni galaana keessaa baʼuu nan arge. Innis gaanfa kudhanii fi mataa torba qaba ture; gaanfawwan isaa irratti gonfoo kudhan, tokkoo tokkoo mataa isaa irratti immoo maqaa arrabsoo qaba ture.
And I stood upon the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads; and upon his horns ten diadems, and upon his heads names of blasphemy.
2 Bineensi ani arge sunis qeerransa fakkaata ture. Miilli isaa miilla amaaketaa, afaan isaa immoo afaan leencaa fakkaata ture. Bineensi jawwee fakkaatu sunis humna isaa, teessoo isaatii fi taayitaa guddaas bineensichaaf kenne.
And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of lions: and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority.
3 Mataa bineensichaa torban keessaa inni tokko waan madaa duʼa fidu qabu fakkaata ture; madaan duʼa fidu sun garuu fayyee ture. Addunyaan guutuunis dinqisiifatee bineensicha duukaa buʼe.
And I saw one of his heads as it had been smitten unto death; and the wound of his death was healed. And the whole earth wondered after the beast:
4 Namoonni sababii inni taayitaa isaa bineensa sanaaf kenneef bineensa jawwee fakkaatu sanaaf ni sagadan; akkasumas, “Kan akka bineensichaa eenyuu? Eenyutus lola isatti kaasuu dandaʼa?” jedhanii bineensichaaf sagadan.
and they worshiped the dragon, because he gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying; Who is like the beast? and who is able to make war with him?
5 Akka bineensichi dubbii of tuulummaatii fi arrabsoo dubbatuuf afaan ni kennameef; jiʼa afurtamii lamaaf akka ittiin hojjetuufis taayitaan isaaf kenname.
and a mouth was given to him speaking great things and blasphemies; and authority was given unto him to prevail forty-two months.
6 Innis Waaqa arrabsuuf, Waaqaa fi iddoo jireenya isaa, akkasumas warra samii keessa jiraatan maqaa balleessuuf jedhee afaan banate.
And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, those dwelling in the heaven.
7 Akka inni qulqullootatti waraana kaasee isaan moʼatuufis humni ni kennameef. Gosa hunda, saba hunda, afaanii fi sanyii hunda irrattis taayitaan ni kennameef.
And it was given to him to make war with the saints and to conquer them: and authority was given unto him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation.
8 Warri lafa irra jiraatan hundinuu jechuunis warri maqaan isaanii erga addunyaan uumamee jalqabee kitaaba jireenyaa kan Hoolicha qalame sanaa keessatti hin galmeeffamin hundinuu bineensichaaf ni sagadu.
And all those who dwell upon the earth, whose name has not been written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world, will worship him.
9 Namni gurra qabu kam iyyuu haa dhagaʼu.
if any one has ears, let him hear.
10 “Namni boojiʼamuuf jiru kam iyyuu inni ni boojiʼama. Namni goraadeedhaan ajjeefamuuf jiru kam iyyuu goraadeedhaan ni ajjeefama.” Kunis obsaa fi amanamummaa qulqullootaa argisiisa.
If any one leads into captivity he goes into captivity: if any one kills with a sword, it behooves him to be killed with a sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11 Bineensa biraas utuu inni lafa keessaa baʼuu nan arge. Innis akka hoolaa gaanfa lama qaba ture; akka bineensa jawwee fakkaatuuttis dubbata ture.
And I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he continued to speak as the dragon.
12 Innis taayitaa bineensicha jalqabaa hundaan fuula isaa duratti hojjechaa ture; akka laftii fi warri lafa irra jiraatan bineensicha jalqabaa isa madaan duʼa fidu fayyeef sanaaf sagadanis godhe.
And he exercises all the authority of the first beast before him. And he makes the earth and those dwelling in it, that they shall worship the first beast, whose wound of his death was healed.
13 Innis hamma akka ibiddi samii irraa lafatti gad buʼu godhutti ija namaa duratti dinqii gurguddaa hojjete.
And he performs great signs, so that he can indeed make fire descend out of the heaven to the earth in presence of the people.
14 Mallattoo akka inni iddoo bineensichi jalqabaa jirutti hojjetuuf eeyyamameef sanaanis namoota lafa irra jiraatan ni gowwoomse. Akka isaan ulfina bineensicha goraadeedhaan madaaʼee ergasii immoo jiraate sanaatiif fakkii dhaaban ajaje.
And he deceives those dwelling upon the earth through the signs which it was given unto him to perform in the presence of the beast, saying to those dwelling on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, who had the wound of the sword, and did live.
15 Fakkiin bineensa jalqabaa sunis akka dubbachuu dandaʼuu fi warra fakkii sanaaf sagaduu didan hundas akka ajjeesisuuf bineensi inni lammaffaan akka fakkii sanaaf lubbuu kennuuf humni kennameef.
And it was given unto him to give spirit to the image of the beast, in order that the image of the beast may indeed speak, and he may cause so many as will not worship the image of the beast that they should be killed.
16 Akkasumas namni hundinuu xinnaa fi guddaan, sooressii fi hiyyeessi, birmaduu fi garbi harka mirgaa irratti yookaan adda irratti akka mallattoo qabaatu dirqisiise;
And he causes all, small and great, both rich and poor, both free and bond, that they may give them a mark on their right hand, or on their forehead:
17 kunis akka namni mallattoo kana jechuunis maqaa bineensichaa yookaan lakkoobsa maqaa isaa hin qabaatin kam iyyuu bitachuu yookaan gurgurachuu hin dandeenyeef.
that no one may be able to buy or sell, except the one having the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Ogummaan as jira. Lakkoobsichi waan lakkoobsa namaa taʼeef namni hubannaa qabu kam iyyuu lakkoobsa bineensichaa haa herregu. Lakkoobsi isaas 666.
Here is wisdom. Let the one having understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man. And his is, Six hundred and sixty-six.
