< Mulʼata 10 >

1 Anis utuu ergamaan Waaqaa inni jabaan biraa tokko samii irraa gad buʼuu nan arge. Innis duumessa uffatee ture; mataa isaa irraan immoo sabbata Waaqaatu ture; fuulli isaa akka aduu, miilli isaas akka utubaa ibiddaa ture.
Then I saw another powerful angel descending from heaven, with a cloud wrapped around him and with a rainbow over his head. His face looked like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.
2 Innis kitaaba maramaa xinnaa baname tokko harkatti qabatee ture. Miilla isaa mirgaa galaana irra, miilla isaa bitaa immoo lafa irra dhaabee ture;
He was holding a small scroll that had already been opened. He placed his right foot on the sea, and this left foot on the land.
3 innis akkuma leenca aaduutti sagalee guddaadhaan iyye. Yommuu inni iyyettis bakakkaawwan torban ni dubbatan.
He gave a great shout, like a lion roaring. When he shouted, the seven thunders responded.
4 Yommuu bakakkaawwan torban dubbatanittis ani barreessuuf qophaaʼeen ture; garuu sagalee, “Waan bakakkaawwan torban jedhan sana chaappaan cufi malee hin barreessin” jedhu tokko samii irraa nan dhagaʼe.
When the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write down what they said when I heard a voice from heaven that told me, “Keep under seal what the seven thunders said. Don't write them down.”
5 Ergamaan ani utuu inni galaanaa fi lafa irra dhaabatuu argee ture sunis harka isaa mirgaa samiitti ol qabe.
The angel I saw standing on the sea and on the land held up his right hand to heaven.
6 Innis isa bara baraa hamma bara baraatti jiraatu, isa samiiwwanii fi waan isaan keessa jiru hundumaa, lafaa fi waan isa keessa jiru hundumaa, galaanaa fi waan isa keessa jiru hundumaa uume sanaan kakatee akkana jedhe; “Ammaan achi lafa irra harkisuun hin jiru! (aiōn g165)
He made a sacred oath by the one who lives for ever and ever, who created the heavens and everything in them, and the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it. “No more delay!” he said. (aiōn g165)
7 Garuu guyyoota ergamaan torbaffaan malakata isaa afuufutti icciitiin Waaqaa akkuma inni raajota warra hojjettoota isaa taʼanitti labse sanatti ni raawwatama.”
But at the time when the seventh angel speaks, when he blows his trumpet, then the mystery of God will be completed—the good news he announced through his servants the prophets.
8 Sagaleen ani samii irraa dhagaʼee ture sun ammas deebiʼee, “Dhaqiitii kitaaba maramaa banamee ergamaa galaanaa fi lafa irra dhaabatu harka jiru sana fudhadhu” naan jedhe.
Then I heard again the voice from heaven telling me, “Go and take the scroll that is open in the hand of the angel that stands on the sea and on the land.”
9 Kanaafuu ani gara ergamichaa dhaqee akka inni kitaaba maramaa xinnaa sana naa kennuuf isa gaafadhe. Innis, “Fudhadhuutii nyaadhu; kitaabni kun garaa kee ni hadheessa; ‘afaan kee keessatti garuu akka dammaa miʼaawa’” naan jedhe.
So I went to the angel, and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, “Take it and eat it up. It will be sour in your stomach, but sweet as honey in your mouth.”
10 Anis kitaaba maramaa xinnaa sana ergamicha harkaa fudhadhee nan nyaadhe. Innis afaan koo keessatti akkuma dammaa miʼaawe; erga ani nyaadhe garuu garaan koo ni hadheeffame.
I took the little scroll from the angel and ate it up. In my mouth it was as sweet as honey, but it was sour in my stomach.
11 Ergasii immoo, “Ati waaʼee saba baayʼee, sanyii baayʼee, afaan baayʼeetii fi waaʼee mootota baayʼee ammas raajii dubbachuu qabda” jedhamee natti himame.
I was told, “You must prophesy again regarding many peoples, nations, languages, and kings.”
