1 Waaqayyo moʼeera; saboonni haa hollatan; inni kiirubeel gidduu, teessoo isaa irra taaʼa; lafti haa raafamtu.
Adonai reigns! Let the peoples tremble. He sits enthroned among the cherubim. Let the earth be moved.
2 Waaqayyo Xiyoon keessatti guddaa dha; inni saboota hunda irra ol ol jedheera.
Adonai is great in Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]. He is high above all the peoples.
3 Isaan maqaa kee guddichaa fi sodaachisaa sana haa jajan; inni qulqulluu dha.
Let them yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to your great and awesome name. He is Holy!
4 Mootichi humna qabeessa; inni murtii qajeelaa jaallata; ati tola hundeessiteerta; Yaaqoob keessattis haqaa fi qajeelummaa hojjetteerta.
The King’s strength also 'ahav ·affectionately loves· mishpat ·justice·. You do establish equity. You execute mishpat ·justice· and righteousness in Jacob [Supplanter].
5 Waaqayyo Waaqa keenya leellisaa; ejjeta miilla isaa jalatti sagadaa; inni qulqulluu dha.
Exalt Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]. Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship at his footstool. He is Holy!
6 Musee fi Aroon luboota isaa keessa turan; Saamuʼeelis warra maqaa isaa waammatan keessa ture; isaan Waaqayyoon waammatan; innis deebii kenneef.
Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] were among his priests, Samuel among those who call on his name; they called on Adonai, and he answered them.
7 Inni utubaa duumessaa keessaa isaanitti dubbate; isaanis sirna isaatii fi seera inni isaaniif kenne eegan.
He spoke to them in the pillar of cloud. They kept his testimonies, the statute that he gave them.
8 Yaa Waaqayyo Waaqa keenya, ati deebii isaanii kennite; ati balleessaa isaanii adabdu illee, Israaʼeliif Waaqa dhiifama gootu turte.
You answered them, Yahweh Eloheikhem [Yahweh our God]. You are a God who forgave them, although you took vengeance for their doings.
9 Waaqa keenya Waaqayyoon leellisaa; tulluu isaa qulqulluu irrattis waaqeffadhaa; Waaqayyo Waaqni keenya Waaqa qulqulluudhaatii.
Exalt Adonai, our God. Hawa ·Bow low, prostrate· to worship at his holy hill, for Adonai, our God, is holy!
