Faarfannaa 98

1 Faarfannaa. Waaqayyoof faarfannaa haaraa faarfadhaa; inni dinqii hojjeteeratii; harki isaa inni mirgaatii fi irreen isaa qulqulluun, akka inni moʼannaa argatu godhaniiru.

“A psalm.” Sing to the LORD a new song; For he hath done marvellous things; His own right hand and his holy arm have gotten him the victory!

2 Waaqayyo akka fayyisuun isaa beekamu godheera; qajeelummaa isaas sabootatti mulʼiseera.

The LORD hath made known his salvation; His righteousness hath he manifested in the sight of the nations.

3 Inni jaalala isaatii fi amanamummaa isaa mana Israaʼeliif yaadateera; daariin lafaa hundinuu, fayyisuu Waaqa keenyaa arganiiru.

He hath remembered his mercy and truth toward the house of Israel, And all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Lafti hundinuu Waaqayyoof ililchaa; faarfannaa gammachuutiin iyyaa; weedduu galataas weeddisaa;

Shout unto the LORD, all the earth! Break forth into joy, and exult, and sing!

5 baganaadhaan faarfannaa galataa, baganaa fi sagalee weedduutiin Waaqayyoof faarfadhaa;

Sing to the LORD with the harp, With the harp, and the voice of song!

6 malakataa fi sagalee gaanfaatiin, fuula Waaqayyo mootichaa duratti ililchaa.

With clarions, and the sound of trumpets, Make a joyful noise before the LORD the King!

7 Galaannii fi wanni isa keessa jiru hundinuu, addunyaa fi wanti ishee keessa jiraatu hundinuu haa huursan.

Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; The world, and they that dwell therein;

8 Lageen harka isaanii haa rurrukutan; tulluuwwanis tokkummaadhaan haa ililchan;

Let the rivers clap their hands, And the mountains rejoice together

9 isaan fuula Waaqayyoo duratti haa faarfatan; inni lafatti murteessuu ni dhufaatii. Inni addunyaaf qajeelummaadhaan, namootaaf immoo utuu wal hin caalchisin murtii kenna.

Before the LORD! for he cometh to judge the earth! With righteousness will he judge the world, And the nations with equity.
