< Faarfannaa 77 >
1 Dura Buʼaa Faarfattootaatiif. Yeduutuuniif. Faarfannaa Asaaf. Ani gargaarsaaf gara Waaqaatti nan iyyadhe; ani akka Waaqni na dhagaʼuuf nan iyyadhe.
For the chief musician; after the manner of Jeduthun. A psalm of Asaph. I will call out with my voice to God; I will call with my voice to God, and my God will hear me.
2 Yeroo rakkina kootiitti Gooftaa nan barbaaddadhe; halkanis utuu hin dadhabin harka koo nan diriirfadhe; lubbuun koos jajjabaachuu didde.
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; at night I stretched my hands out, and they would not become tired. My soul refused to be comforted.
3 Yaa Waaqi, ani yommuun si yaadadhu nan aada; ani irra deddeebiʼee nan yaade; hafuurri koos ni laafe.
I thought of God as I groaned; I thought about him as I grew faint. (Selah)
4 Ati akka iji koo hin dunuunfanne goote; ani akka malee lubbamee dubbachuu iyyuu dadhabe.
You held my eyes open; I was too troubled to speak.
5 Ani waaʼee bara durii, waaʼee waggoota durii duriis nan yaade;
I thought about the days of old, about times long past.
6 ani halkaniin faarfannaa koo nan yaadadhe. Ani irra deddeebiʼee na yaade; hafuurri koos akkana jedhee qorate:
During the night I called to mind the song I once sang. I thought carefully and tried to understand what had happened.
7 “Gooftaan bara baraan nama gataa? Inni deebiʼee garaa hin laafuu?
Will the Lord reject me forever? Will he never again show me favor?
8 Araarri isaa bara baraan badee? Waadaan isaa bara baraan guutamuu dhabee?
Was his covenant faithfulness gone forever? Had his promise failed forever?
9 Waaqni arjoomuu irraanfateeraa? Inni aariidhaan gara laafina isaa dhiiseeraa?”
Had God forgotten to be gracious? Had his anger shut off his compassion? (Selah)
10 Anis, “Harki mirgaa kan Waaqa Waan Hundaa Olii jijjiirameera jedhee yaaduun koo, dadhabbii koo ti” nan jedhe.
I said, “This is my sorrow: the changing of the right hand of the Most High toward us.”
11 Ani hojii Waaqayyoo nan yaadadha; dhugumaan dinqii kee kan durii nan yaadadhaa.
But I will call to mind your deeds, Yahweh; I will think about your wonderful deeds of old.
12 Ani waan ati hojjette hunda irra deddeebiʼee nan yaada; waaʼee hojii keetii illee nan dubbadha.
I will ponder all your deeds and will reflect on them.
13 Yaa Waaqi, karaan kee qulqulluu dha. Waaqni guddaan akka Waaqa keenyaa eessa jira?
Your way, God, is holy; what god compares to our great God?
14 Ati Waaqa hojii dinqii hojjettuu dha; saboota gidduuttis humna kee ni argisiifta.
You are the God who does wonders; you have revealed your strength among the peoples.
15 Irree kee cimaadhaan saba kee, sanyii Yaaqoobii fi sanyii Yoosef furteerta.
You gave your people victory by your great power— the descendants of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)
16 Yaa Waaqi, bishaanonni si argan; bishaanonni si arganii sodaatan; tuujubawwan ni hollatan.
The waters saw you, God; the waters saw you, and they were afraid; the depths trembled.
17 Duumessi bishaan gad dhangalaase; samiiwwan ni qaqawweessaʼan; xiyyi kees qixa hundaan balaqqise.
The clouds poured down water; the cloudy skies gave voice; your arrows flew about.
18 Bakakkaan kee bubbee hamaa keessaa dhagaʼame; balaqqeesi kee addunyaa ibse; laftis hollattee sochoote.
Your thunderous voice was heard in the wind; the lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and shook.
19 Daandiin kee galaana keessa, karaan kee immoo bishaanota gurguddaa keessa baʼa; garuu faanni kee hin argamne.
Your path went through the sea and your way through the surging waters, but your footprints were not seen.
20 Ati harka Museetii fi harka Arooniin, saba kee akka bushaayeetti geggeessite.
You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
