< Faarfannaa 76 >
1 Dura Buʼaa Faarfattootaatiif. Miʼa Ribuutiin. Faarfannaa Asaaf. Yihuudaa keessatti Waaqni beekamaa dha; maqaan isaas Israaʼel keessatti guddaa dha.
For the leader. With instrumental music. A psalm of Asaph, a song. God has made himself known in Judah, his name is great in Israel.
2 Dunkaanni isaa Saalem keessa, iddoon jireenya isaa Xiyoon keessa jira.
His tent is in Salem, his dwelling in Zion.
3 Innis achitti xiyya bobaʼuu fi gaachana, goraadee fi meeshaawwan waraanaa caccabse.
There he broke the lightning arrows, shield, sword, and weapons of war. (Selah)
4 Ati ifa uffattee miidhagdeerta; ati tulluuwwan bara baraa caalaa Surra qabeessa.
Terrible is your splendour on the everlasting mountains.
5 Gootonni boojiʼamaniiru; hirribaanis fudhatamaniiru; duultota keessaas namni tokko iyyuu harka sochoofachuu hin dandeenye.
Despoiled were the stout of heart; in the sleep into which they had fallen, none of the warriors could lift a hand.
6 Yaa Waaqa Yaaqoob, ifannaa keetiin fardeenii fi warri fardeen yaabbatan of wallaalaniiru.
At your rebuke, God of Jacob, sank chariot and horse to sleep.
7 Siʼi qofatu sodaatamuu qaba. Yommuu ati aartu eenyutu fuula kee dura dhaabachuu dandaʼaa?
Awful are you: who can stand before you, when once you are angry?
8 Ati samii irraa murtii kennite; laftis ni sodaatte; ni calʼiftes;
The judgment you gave from heaven frightened the earth into silence,
9 yaa Waaqi, wanni kunis yommuu ati murtii kennuudhaaf, rakkattoota biyyattii fayyisuuf kaatetti taʼe.
when God arose to judgment to save the oppressed of the earth. (Selah)
10 Dheekkamsi ati namatti dheekkamtu dhugumaan ulfina siif fida; warra dheekkamsa kee irraa hafanis ni hidhatta.
The fiercest will praise you, to you will the remnant hold festival.
11 Waaqayyo Waaqa keessaniif wareegaa; wareegichas guuttadhaa; warri naannoo isaa jiraatan hundinuus Waaqa sodaatamuu qabu sanaaf kennaawwan haa fidan.
Vow and pay to Lord your God, and let all who are round him bring presents.
12 Inni hafuura bulchitootaa ni cabsa; mootonni lafaas isa sodaatu.
He lops off the courage of princes, and with terror fills kings of the earth.
