< Faarfannaa 72 >

1 Faarfannaa Solomoon. Yaa Waaqi, murtii kee mootiidhaaf, qajeelumma kee immoo ilma mootiitiif kenni.
Solomon’s. O God! thy justice, give, unto the king, And thy righteousness, unto the son of a king;
2 Innis saba keetiif qajeelummaadhaan murteessa; hiyyeeyyiifis murtii qajeelaa kenna.
May he judge, Thy people with righteousness; And thine oppressed ones with justice;
3 Tulluuwwan badhaadhummaa, gaarran immoo ija qajeelummaa sabaaf haa fidan.
May the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills [be laden] with righteousness;
4 Inni hiyyeeyyii saba keessa jiraataniif ni falma; ijoollee rakkattootaa ni oolcha; cunqursituu immoo ni barbadeessa.
May he, Vindicate the oppressed of the people, Bring deliverance to the children of the needy, and, Crush the oppressor.
5 Namoonni hamma aduun jiraattuu fi hamma jiʼi jiraatutti, dhalootaa hamma dhalootaatti si sodaatu.
Let men revere thee, With the sun, And in presence of the moon, Unto the remotest generation.
6 Inni akkuma bokkaa marga haamame irratti roobuu, akkuma tiifuu lafa jiisuuttis ni dhufa.
Let him come down, Like rain on fields to be mown, Like myriad drops on land to be reaped.
7 Bara isaa keessa qajeelummaan ni daraara; nageenyis hamma jiʼi dhabamutti ni baayʼata.
May righteousness, in his days, blossom forth, And abundance of peace, till there be no moon.
8 Innis galaanaa hamma galaanaatti, Laga Efraaxiisii hamma moggaa lafaatti ni bulcha.
So let him have dominion, From sea to sea, And from the River ["Euphrates"] unto the ends of the earth;
9 Warri gammoojjii keessa jiraatan fuula isaa duratti ni sagadu; diinonni isaas biyyoo arraabu.
Before him, let the men of the desert kneel, But, as for his foes, the dust, let them lick;
10 Mootonni Tarshiishii fi mootonni biyyoota qarqarawwan galaana fagoo gibira isaaf ni fidu; mootonni Shebaatii fi mootonni Saabaa kennaa ni fiduuf.
The kings of Tarshish and of the Coastlands, A gift, let them render, The kings of Sheba and Seba, A present, let them bring;
11 Mootonni hundinuus isaaf ni sagadu; saboonni hundinuus isa ni tajaajilu.
Yea let all kings, bow down unto him, Let, all nations, serve him;
12 Inni nama rakkatee gara isaatti iyyu, hiyyeessaa fi nama gargaarsa hin qabne ni baraaraatii.
Because he Rescueth, The needy from the rich, The oppressed, who hath no helper;
13 Nama dadhabaa fi rakkataaf garaa lafa; nama rakkataas duʼa jalaa baasa.
He Pitieth the weak and the needy, And, the lives of the needy, he Saveth:
14 Lubbuu isaaniis hacuuccaa fi cunqursaa jalaa ni fura; dhiigni isaanii fuula isaa duratti gatii guddaa qabaatii.
From extortion, and, violence, he Redeemeth their life, And precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Umuriin isaa haa dheeratu; warqeen Shebaa isaaf haa kennamu. Yeroo hunda Waaqa isaaf haa kadhatan; guyyaa guutuus isa haa eebbisan.
Let him live, then! And be there given unto him of the gold of Sheba, —Let prayer also be offered for him continually, All the day, let him be blessed.
16 Lafa irratti midhaan akka malee haa baayʼatu; fiixee tulluuwwanii irras asii fi achi haa raafamu. Iji isaa akka Libaanoon haa tolu; akka marga lafaas haa misu.
May there be an abundance of corn in the earth, in the top of the mountains, —Let the fruit thereof, wave like Lebanon, And they of the city bloom like the fresh shoots of the earth.
17 Maqaan isaa bara baraan haa jiraatu; Akkuma aduus itti fufee haa jiraatu. Saboonni hundinuu isaan ni eebbifamu; jarris eebbifamaa jedhaanii isa waamu.
May his Name be age-abiding, In the presence of the sun, let his Name flourish, —And may all the families of the ground bless themselves in him, All nations, pronounce him happy!
18 Inni kophaa isaa waan dinqii hojjetu, Waaqayyo Waaqni, Waaqni Israaʼel haa eebbifamu.
Blessed be Yahweh God, the God of Israel, —Who doeth wondrous things by himself alone;
19 Maqaa isaa ulfaataa sanaaf bara baraan galanni haa taʼu; lafti hundinuu ulfina isaatiin haa guutamu.
And blessed be his glorious Name, unto times age-abiding, —And filled with his glory be all the earth, Amen and Amen!
20 Kadhannaan Daawit ilma Isseey as irratti xumurame.
Ended are the prayers of David, son of Jesse.
