Faarfannaa 33
1 Yaa qajeeltota, isin Waaqayyotti gammadaa; isa jajuun tolootaaf ni mala.
Ye iust men, haue fulli ioye in the Lord; presyng togidere bicometh riytful men.
2 Kiraaraan Waaqayyoon galateeffadhaa; baganaa ribuu kudhan qabuun isaaf faarfadhaa.
Knouleche ye to the Lord in an harpe; synge ye to hym in a sautre of ten strengis.
3 Faarfannaa haaraa isaaf faarfadhaa; ribuu haalaan rukutaa; sirriitti rukutaa; gammachuudhaanis ililchaa.
Synge ye to hym a newe song; seie ye wel salm to hym in criyng.
4 Dubbiin Waaqayyoo qajeelaadhaatii; inni waan hojjetu hundumaatti amanamaa dha.
For the word of the Lord is riytful; and alle hise werkis ben in feithfulnesse.
5 Waaqayyo qajeelummaa fi murtii qajeelaa jaallata; laftis jaalala isaa kan hin geeddaramneen guutamteerti.
He loueth merci and doom; the erthe is ful of the merci of the Lord.
6 Samiiwwan dubbii Waaqayyootiin hojjetaman; tuunni urjiiwwanii hundinuus hafuura afaan isaatii baʼuun uumaman.
Heuenes ben maad stidfast bi the word of the Lord; and `al the vertu of tho bi the spirit of his mouth.
7 Inni bishaan galaanaa akka tuullaatti walitti qaba; bishaan tuujubaas kuusaa keessa kaaʼa.
And he gaderith togidere the watris of the see as in a bowge; and settith depe watris in tresours.
8 Lafti hundi Waaqayyoon haa sodaatu; sabni addunyaa irra jiraatu hundinuus, guddisee isa haa sodaatu.
Al erthe drede the Lord; sotheli alle men enhabitynge the world ben mouyd of hym.
9 Inni dubbateeraatii, wanni inni dubbate ni taʼe; inni ni ajaje; wanni inni ajajes ni raawwate.
For he seide, and thingis weren maad; he comaundide, and thingis weren maad of nouyt.
10 Waaqayyo marii sabootaa ni fashaleessa; akka karoorri namootaa hojii irra hin oolles ni godha.
The Lord distrieth the counsels of folkis, forsothe he repreueth the thouytis of puplis; and he repreueth the counsels of prynces.
11 Karoorri Waaqayyoo garuu bara baraan, yaadni garaa isaas dhaloota hundumaa keessatti cimee ni dhaabata.
But the counsel of the Lord dwellith with outen ende; the thouytis of his herte dwellen in generacioun and into generacioun.
12 Sabni Waaqayyo Waaqa isaaf taʼe, namoonni inni akka dhaala ofii isaatti filate eebbifamoo dha.
Blessid is the folk, whose Lord is his God; the puple which he chees into eritage to hym silf.
13 Waaqayyo samii irraa gad ni ilaala; ilmaan namootaa hundas ni arga;
The Lord bihelde fro heuene; he siy alle the sones of men.
14 inni teessoo isaa irra taaʼee, warra lafa irra jiraatan hunda gad ilaala;
Fro his dwellyng place maad redi bifor; he bihelde on alle men, that enhabiten the erthe.
15 inni garaa nama hundumaa uumu sun, hojii isaanii hunda ni hubata.
Which made syngulerli the soules of hem; which vndurstondith all the werkis of hem.
16 Mootiin baayʼina loltoota isaatiin duʼa hin oolu; jagnis guddina humna isaatiin duʼa jalaa hin baʼu.
A kyng is not sauyd bi myche vertu; and a giaunt schal not be sauyd in the mychilnesse of his vertu.
17 Fardi moʼannaadhaaf abdii gatii hin qabnee dha; guddinni humna isaas nama hin oolchu.
An hors is false to helthe; forsothe he schal not be sauyd in the habundaunce, `ether plentee, of his vertu.
18 Garuu iji Waaqayyoo warra isa sodaatan irra, warra araara isaa abdatan irras jira;
Lo! the iyen of the Lord ben on men dredynge hym; and in hem that hopen on his merci.
19 inni lubbuu isaanii duʼa jalaa ni baasa; bara beelaas isaan ni jiraachisa.
That he delyuere her soules fro deth; and feede hem in hungur.
20 Lubbuun keenya abdiidhaan Waaqayyoon eeggatti; innis gargaarsa keenyaa fi gaachana keenya.
Oure soule suffreth the Lord; for he is oure helpere and defendere.
21 Garaan keenya isatti ni gammadaatii; nu maqaa isaa qulqulluu ni amanannaatii.
For oure herte schal be glad in him; and we schulen haue hope in his hooli name.
22 Yaa Waaqayyo, akkuma nu abdii keenya sirra kaaʼannutti, araarri kee nurra haa buʼu.
Lord, thi merci be maad on vs; as we hopiden in thee.
