Faarfannaa 31
1 Dura buʼaa faarfattootaatiif. Faarfannaa Daawit. Yaa Waaqayyo, ani kooluu sitti galeera; ati gonkumaa na hin qaanessin; qajeelummaa keetiin na oolchi.
In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge. Let me never be put to shame. Deliver me in thy righteousness.
2 Gurra kee gara kootti qabi; dafiitii na oolchi; kattaa ani itti kooluu galu naa taʼi; na oolchuudhaafis daʼoo jabaa naa taʼi.
Bow down thine ear to me. Deliver me speedily. Be thou to me a strong rock, a house of defense to save me.
3 Ati waan kattaa koo fi daʼoo koo taateef, maqaa keetiif jedhiitii na qajeelchi; karaa irras na buusi.
For thou are my rock and my fortress. Therefore for thy name's sake lead me and guide me.
4 Ati iddoo ani itti baqadhu waan taateef, kiyyoo diinonni koo naa kaaʼan keessaa na baasi.
Pluck me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me, for thou are my stronghold.
5 Ani hafuura koo dabarsee harka keettin kennadha; yaa Waaqayyo Waaqa dhugaa, ati na furi.
Into thy hand I commend my spirit. Thou have redeemed me, O Jehovah, thou God of truth.
6 Ani warra waaqota faayidaa hin qabne abdatan nan jibba; Waaqayyoon garuu nan amanadha.
I hate those who regard lying vanities, but I trust in Jehovah.
7 Ani jaalala kee kan hin geeddaramne sanatti nan gammada; nan ililchas; ati dhiphina koo argiteertaatii; rakkina lubbuu kootii illee beekteerta.
I will be glad and rejoice in thy loving kindness, for thou have seen my affliction. Thou have known my soul in adversities,
8 Ati dabarsitee diinatti na hin kennine; miilla koos iddoo balʼaa irra dhaabdeerta.
and thou have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy. Thou have set my feet in a large place.
9 Yaa Waaqayyo, ani dhiphina keessan jiraatii na baasi; iji koo gaddaan, lubbuun koo fi dhagni koo gaddaan dadhabaniiru.
Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah, for I am in distress. My eye wastes away with grief, yea, my soul and my body.
10 Jireenyi koo gaddaan, umuriin koo aaduudhaan dhumeera; jabinni koo sababii dhiphina kootiitiif laafeera; lafeen koos xuuxameera.
For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing. My strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones are wasted away.
11 Sababii diinota koo hundaatiif, ani olloota koo biratti waan sodaachisaa, michoota koo biratti immoo waan jibbisiisaa taʼeera; warri karaa irratti na arganis na baqatu.
I have become a reproach because of all my adversaries, yea, to my neighbors exceedingly, and a fear to my acquaintances. Those who saw me outside fled from me.
12 Ani akkuma nama duʼeetti irraanfatameera; akkuma qodaa cabaas nan taʼe.
I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind. I am like a broken vessel.
13 Asaasa namoota baayʼee nan dhagaʼaatii; kallattii hundaan sodaatu jira! Isaan natti malatanii lubbuu koo balleessuuf mariʼatan.
For I have heard the slander of many. Fear was on every side, while they took counsel together against me. They devised to take away my life.
14 Yaa Waaqayyo, ani garuu sin amanadha; “Ati Waaqa koo ti” nan jedha.
But I trusted in thee, O Jehovah. I said, Thou are my God.
15 Barri koo si harka jira; diinota koo jalaa, warra na ariʼatan harkaas na baasi.
My times are in thy hand. Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, and from those who persecute me.
16 Fuulli kee tajaajilaa kee irratti haa ifu; jaalala kee kan hin geeddaramne sanaanis na baraari.
Make thy face to shine upon thy servant. Save me in thy loving kindness.
17 Yaa Waaqayyo, ani hin qaaneffamin; ani si waammadheeraatii; warri hamoon garuu haa qaaneffaman; calʼisaniis siiʼool keessa haa buʼan. (Sheol h7585)
Let me not be put to shame, O Jehovah, for I have called upon thee. Let the wicked be put to shame. Let them be silent in Sheol. (Sheol h7585)
18 Afaan soba dubbatu, kan of tuulummaa fi tuffiidhaan, nama qajeelaatti kooree dubbatu haa duudu.
Let the lying lips be dumb, which speak against the righteous man insolently, with pride and contempt.
19 Gaarummaan kee kan ati warra si sodaataniif ol keesse, kan ati fuula namootaa duratti warra kooluu sitti galaniif kennite akkam guddaa dha!
O how great is thy goodness, which thou have laid up for those who fear thee, which thou have wrought for those who take refuge in thee before the sons of men!
20 Daʼoo fuula keetiitiin, waan namoonni isaanitti malatan jalaa isaan dhoksita; dunkaana kee keessattis dubbiin tuttuquu jalaa isaan daʼeessita.
In the covert of thy presence thou will hide them from the plotting of man. Thou will keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.
21 Waaqayyo haa eebbifamu; inni yeroo ani magaalaa marfamte keessa turetti, jaalala isaa dinqisiisaa sana na argisiiseeraatii.
Blessed be Jehovah, for he has shown me his marvelous loving kindness in a strong city.
22 Ani yeroon akka malee dhiphadhetti, “Ani fuula kee duraa badeera!” jedheen ture. Ati garuu yeroo ani gargaarsaaf sitti iyyadhetti, kadhannaa koo naa dhageesse.
As for me, I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes. Nevertheless thou heard the voice of my supplications when I cried to thee.
23 Qulqulloonni isaa hundinuu, Waaqayyoon jaalladhaa! Waaqayyo amanamoota ni eega; of tuultotaaf garuu akkuma hojii isaaniitti irra dabarsee deebisaaf.
O love Jehovah, all ye his sanctified. Jehovah preserves the faithful, and plentifully repays him who deals proudly.
24 Warri Waaqayyoon abdattan hundinuu jabaadhaa; garaan keessan hin sodaatin.
Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all ye who hope in Jehovah.
