Faarfannaa 30

1 Faarfannaa eebba mana qulqullummaatiif Faarfatame. Faarfannaa Daawit. Yaa Waaqayyo, sababii ati ol na fuutee akka diinonni koo natti hin gammanne gooteef, ani sin jajadha.

A Psalm. — A song of the dedication of the house of David. I exalt Thee, O Jehovah, For Thou hast drawn me up, and hast not let mine enemies rejoice over me.

2 Yaa Waaqayyo Waaqa ko, ani gargaarsaaf sin waammadhe; atis na fayyifte.

Jehovah my God, I have cried to Thee, And Thou dost heal me.

3 Yaa Waaqayyo, ati lubbuu koo siiʼoolii baafte; akka ani boolla hin buune gootees na jiraachifte. (Sheol h7585)

Jehovah, Thou hast brought up from Sheol my soul, Thou hast kept me alive, From going down [to] the pit. (Sheol h7585)

4 Isin qulqulloonni isaa, faarfannaadhaan Waaqayyoon jajadhaa; maqaa isaa qulqulluu sanaafis galata galchaa.

Sing praise to Jehovah, ye His saints, And give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness,

5 Dheekkamsi isaa hamma liphsuu ijaa ti; gaarummaan isaa immoo bara jireenyaa guutuudhaaf tura; booʼichi galgala tokko qofaaf tura; ganama garuu ililleetu taʼa.

For — a moment [is] in His anger, Life [is] in His good-will, At even remaineth weeping, and at morn singing.

6 Anis yommuun nagaa argadhetti, “Ani gonkumaa hin raafamu” nan jedhe.

And I — I have said in mine ease, 'I am not moved — to the age.

7 Yaa Waaqayyo, ati jaalala keetiin akka tulluu jabaatti na dhaabde; yeroo ati fuula kee na duraa dhoksitetti garuu naasuutu na qabate.

O Jehovah, in Thy good pleasure, Thou hast caused strength to remain for my mountain,' Thou hast hidden Thy face — I have been troubled.

8 Yaa Waaqayyo, ani sin waammadha; ani gara Gooftaatti akkana jedhee araaraaf nan iyyadha:

Unto Thee, O Jehovah, I call, And unto Jehovah I make supplication.

9 “Duʼuu koo keessaa, boolla buʼuu koo keessaas faayidaa maaliitu argama? Biyyoon si galateeffataa? Amanamummaa kees ni odeessaa?

'What gain [is] in my blood? In my going down unto corruption? Doth dust thank Thee? doth it declare Thy truth?

10 Yaa Waaqayyo na dhagaʼi; na maaris; Yaa Waaqayyo, gargaarsa naa taʼi.”

Hear, O Jehovah, and favour me, O Jehovah, be a helper to me.'

11 Ati booʼicha koo shuubbisuutti geeddarte; wayyaa gaddaa narraa baaftee gammachuu natti uwwifte;

Thou hast turned my mourning to dancing for me, Thou hast loosed my sackcloth, And girdest me [with] joy.

12 kunis akka lubbuun koo faarfannaadhaan si jajattuu fi akka isheen hin calʼisneefii dha. Yaa Waaqayyo Waaqa ko, ani bara baraan sin galateeffadha.

So that honour doth praise Thee, and is not silent, O Jehovah, my God, to the age I thank Thee!
