1 Haalleluuyaa. Faarfannaa haaraa Waaqayyoof faarfadhaa; waldaa qulqullootaa keessatti illee isa jajadhaa.

Praise ye the LORD! Sing unto the LORD a new song; His praise in the assembly of the godly!

2 Israaʼel Uumaa isaatti haa gammadu; sabni Xiyoon Mootii isaatti haa gammadu.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him; Let the sons of Zion be joyful in their king!

3 Maqaa isaas shuubbisuudhaan haa jajatu; dibbee fi baganaadhaan isaaf haa faarfatu.

Let them praise his name in the dance; Let them praise him with the timbrel and harp!

4 Waaqayyo saba isaatti ni gammadaatii; warra gad of qabanis fayyina gonfachiisa.

For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people; He will beautify the distressed with salvation.

5 Qulqulloonni ulfina kanatti haa gammadan; siree isaanii irrattis gammachuudhaan haa faarfatan.

Let the godly-rejoice in their glory; Let them shout for joy upon their beds!

6 Galanni Waaqaa afaan isaanii keessa haa jiraatu; goraadeen afaan lamaas harka isaanii keessa haa jiraattu;

Let the praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand,

7 kunis sabootatti haaloo baʼuu fi namoota adabuudhaaf;

To execute vengeance upon the nations, And punishment upon the peoples!

8 mootota isaanii foncaan, hangafoota isaaniis funyoo sibiilaatiin hidhuudhaaf,

To bind their kings with chains. And their nobles with fetters of iron;

9 murtii barreeffame sana isaan irratti dhugaa baʼuudhaaf. Kunis amanamtoota isaa hundaaf ulfina. Haalleluuyaa.

To execute upon them the sentence which is written: This honor have all his godly ones. Praise ye the LORD!
