1 Haalleluuyaa. Yaa lubbuu ko, Waaqayyoon galateeffadhu.
Halleluyah ·praise Yah·! Praise Adonai, my soul.
2 Ani bara jireenya koo guutuu Waaqayyoon nan galateeffadha; ani hamman jirutti Waaqaaf nan faarfadha.
While I live, I will praise Adonai. I will sing zahmar ·musical praise· to my God as long as I exist.
3 Abdii keessan bulchitoota irra, namoota duʼa hin oolle warra isin gargaaruu hin dandeenye irra hin kaaʼatinaa.
Don’t put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help.
4 Isaan yeruma lubbuun isaan keessaa baatu gara lafaatti deebiʼu; guyyuma sanas karoorri isaanii bada.
His spirit departs, and he teshuvah ·completely returns· to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish.
5 Namni gargaarsi isaa Waaqa Yaaqoob taʼe, kan abdiin isaas Waaqayyo Waaqa isaa taʼe eebbifamaa dha.
Happy is he who has the God of Jacob [Supplanter] for his help, whose hope is in Adonai, his God:
6 Waaqayyo Uumaa samii fi lafaa, galaanaa fi waan isaan keessa jiru hundaa ti; inni bara baraan amanamaa taʼe jiraata.
who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;
7 Inni warra cunqurfamaniif ni mura; warra beelaʼaniif nyaata kenna. Waaqayyo warra hidhaman illee ni hiika;
who executes mishpat ·justice· for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. Adonai frees the prisoners.
8 Waaqayyo jaamotaaf agartuu ni kenna; Waaqayyo warra gad deebiʼan ol qaba; Waaqayyo qajeeltota ni jaallata.
Adonai opens the eyes of the blind. Adonai raises up those who are bowed down. Adonai 'ahav ·affectionately loves· the upright.
9 Waaqayyo alagaadhaaf eegumsa ni godha; ijoollee haadhaa fi abbaa hin qabnee fi dubartoota dhirsoonni irraa duʼan ni jiraachisa; karaa jalʼootaa garuu ni balleessa.
Adonai preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.
10 Waaqayyo bara baraan ni moʼa; Yaa Xiyoon, Waaqni kee dhaloota hundaaf mootii taʼa. Haalleluuyaa.
Adonai will reign forever; your God, O Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking], to all generations. Halleluyah ·praise Yah·!
