Faarfannaa 132
1 Faarfannaa ol baʼuu. Yaa Waaqayyo, Daawitii fi rakkina inni obse hundumaa yaadadhu.
A Song of Ascents. LORD, remember unto David all his affliction;
2 Inni kakuu tokko Waaqayyoof kakatee Waaqa Yaaqoob Jabaa sanaaf akkana jedhee wareege:
How he swore unto the LORD, and vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:
3 “Ani mana koo ol hin seenu; yookaan siree kootti ol hin baʼu.
'Surely I will not come into the tent of my house, nor go up into the bed that is spread for me;
4 Ani ija kootiif hirriba, baallee ija kootiitiif immoo mugaatii hin eeyyamu;
I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor slumber to mine eyelids;
5 kunis hamma ani Waaqayyoof iddoo argutti, Waaqa Yaaqoob Jabaa sanaaf iddoo jireenyaa argutti.”
Until I find out a place for the LORD, a dwelling-place for the Mighty One of Jacob.'
6 Kunoo, Efraataatti waaʼee isaa dhageenye; Yaaʼaarittis isa arganne:
Lo, we heard of it as being in Ephrath; we found it in the field of the wood.
7 “Kottaa iddoo jireenya isaa dhaqnaa; ejjeta miilla isaa jalattis kufnee waaqeffannaa.
Let us go into His dwelling-place; let us worship at His footstool.
8 ‘Yaa Waaqayyo kaʼiitii, gara iddoo boqonnaa keetii kottu; atii fi taabonni jabina keetiis kottaa.
Arise, O LORD, unto Thy resting-place; Thou, and the ark of Thy strength.
9 Luboonni kee qajeelummaa haa uffatan; qulqulloonni kees gammachuudhaan haa faarfatan.’”
Let Thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let Thy saints shout for joy.
10 Sababii garbicha kee Daawitiif jedhiitii, dibamaa kee hin gatin.
For Thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of Thine anointed.
11 Waaqayyo akkana jedhee kakuu dhugaa tokko Daawitiif kakateera; inni kakuu kana irraa duubatti hin deebiʼu: “Ani ilmaan kee keessaa isa tokko teessoo kee irra nan teessisa;
The LORD swore unto David in truth; He will not turn back from it: 'Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
12 yoo ilmaan kee kakuu koo fi seera ani isaan barsiisu eegan, ilmaan isaaniis akkasuma bara baraa hamma bara baraatti teessoo kee irra ni taaʼu.”
If thy children keep My covenant and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children also for ever shall sit upon thy throne.'
13 Waaqayyo Xiyoonin filateeraatii; akka isheen iddoo jireenya isaa taatus fedhee akkana jedheera:
For the LORD hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for His habitation:
14 “Kun bara baraa hamma bara baraatti iddoo jireenyaa koo ti; kanas ani waanan fedheef, as nan jiraadha.
'This is My resting-place for ever; here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
15 Ani waan hundaan ishee nan eebbisa; hiyyeeyyii ishee illee buddeena nan quubsa.
I will abundantly bless her provision; I will give her needy bread in plenty.
16 Luboota isheetti fayyina nan uffisa; qulqulloonni ishees gammachuudhaan ni faarfatu.
Her priests also will I clothe with salvation; and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
17 “Ani achitti akka gaanfi tokko Daawitiif biqilu nan godha; dibamaa koofis ibsaa qopheesseera.
There will I make a horn to shoot up unto David, there have I ordered a lamp for Mine anointed.
18 Diinota isaatti qaanii nan uffisa; gonfoon mataa isaa irraa garuu ni ifa.”
His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall his crown shine.'
