1 Faarfannaa Ol Baʼuu. Warri Waaqayyoon sodaatan, kanneen karaa isaa irra deeman eebbifamoo dha.

A Canticle in steps. Blessed are all those who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways.

2 Ati buʼaa dadhabbii keetii ni nyaatta; ni eebbifamta; jireenyis sitti tola.

For you will eat by the labors of your hands. Blessed are you, and it will be well with you.

3 Niitiin kee mana kee keessatti, akka muka wayinii kan ija naqatee ni taati; ijoolleen kees naannoo maaddii keetiitti, akka lataa muka ejersaa ni taʼu.

Your wife is like an abundant vine on the sides of your house. Your sons are like young olive trees surrounding your table.

4 Namni Waaqayyoon sodaatu akkasitti eebbifama.

Behold, so will the man be blessed who fears the Lord.

5 Bara jireenya keetii guutuu, Waaqayyo Xiyoon irraa si haa eebbisu; atis badhaadhummaa Yerusaalem argi.

May the Lord bless you from Zion, and may you see the good things of Jerusalem, all the days of your life.

6 ijoollee ijoollee keetii ni argi; nagaan Israaʼeliif haa taʼu.

And may you see the sons of your sons. Peace be upon Israel.
