Faarfannaa 125

1 Faarfannaa ol baʼuu. Warri Waaqayyoon amanatan akka Tulluu Xiyoon kan hin raafamne, kan bara baraan jiraatu sanaa ti.

Those who trust in Jehovah are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever.

2 Akkuma tulluuwwan Yerusaalemin marsan sana, Waaqayyo ammaa jalqabee hamma bara baraatti, saba isaa ni marsa.

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so Jehovah is round about his people from this time forth and for evermore.

3 Akka qajeeltonni jalʼina hojjechuuf harka isaanii ol hin diriirfanneef, bokkuun hamootaa lafa qajeeltotaaf ixaadhaan qoodame irra hin jiraatu.

For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous, that the righteous not put forth their hands to iniquity.

4 Yaa Waaqayyo, warra gaariif, warra garaa isaaniitiin toloota taʼaniifis waan gaarii godhi.

Do good, O Jehovah, to those who are good, and to those who are upright in their hearts.

5 Warra karaa micciiramaatti garagalan garuu, Waaqayyo akkuma warra hammina hojjetan balleessu jaras ni balleessa. Nagaan Israaʼeliif haa taʼu.

But as for such as turn aside to their crooked ways, Jehovah will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.
