Faarfannaa 106
1 Haalleluuyaa. Waaqayyoof galata galchaa; inni gaariidhaatii; jaalalli isaa bara baraan jiraata.
Praise ye the Lord. Praise ye the Lord because he is good, for his mercie endureth for euer.
2 Eenyutu hojii Waaqayyoo jabaa sana labsuu, yookaan galata isaa guutummaatti odeessuu dandaʼaa?
Who can expresse the noble actes of the Lord, or shewe forth all his prayse?
3 Warri jabeessanii murtii qajeelaa eegan, warri yeroo hunda waan qajeelaa hojjetan eebbifamoo dha.
Blessed are they that keepe iudgement, and doe righteousnesse at all times.
4 Yaa Waaqayyo, yommuu saba keetti faara toltutti na yaadadhu; yommuu isaan oolchituttis na gargaari;
Remember me, O Lord, with the fauour of thy people: visite me with thy saluation,
5 akka ani badhaadhummaa filatamtoota keetii arguuf, akka ani gammachuu saba keetii keessatti hirmaadhee dhaala kee wajjin boonuuf na yaadadhu.
That I may see the felicitie of thy chosen, and reioyce in the ioy of thy people, and glorie with thine inheritance.
6 Nu akkuma abbootii keenyaa cubbuu hojjenneerra; yakka hojjenneerra; hamminas hojjenneerra.
We haue sinned with our fathers: we haue committed iniquitie, and done wickedly.
7 Abbootiin keenya yeroo biyya Gibxi keessa turanitti, dinqii kee hin hubanne; baayʼina araara keetiis hin yaadanne; isaan galaana biratti, Galaana Diimaa biratti sitti fincilan.
Our fathers vnderstoode not thy wonders in Egypt, neither remembred they the multitude of thy mercies, but rebelled at the Sea, euen at the red sea.
8 Taʼus inni akka humni isaa guddaan sun beekamuuf, maqaa isaatiif jedhee isaan oolche.
Neuerthelesse he saued them for his Names sake, that he might make his power to be knowen.
9 Inni Galaana Diimaa ifate; galaanichis ni goge; akkuma waan gammoojjii keessa dabarsuutti lafa gogaa irra isaan dabarse.
And he rebuked the red Sea, and it was dryed vp, and he led them in the deepe, as in the wildernesse.
10 Harka amajaajii isaanii keessaa isaan baase; humna diinaa jalaas isaan fure.
And he saued them from ye aduersaries hand, and deliuered them from ye hand of the enemie.
11 Bishaanonni diinota isaanii liqimsan; tokkoon isaanii iyyuu hin hafne.
And the waters couered their oppressours: not one of them was left.
12 Ergasii isaan dubbii isaa amananii faarfannaadhaan isa galateeffatan.
Then beleeued they his wordes, and sang prayse vnto him.
13 Isaan garuu yommusuma waan inni hojjetee ture dagatan; gorsa isaas obsaan hin eegganne.
But incontinently they forgate his workes: they wayted not for his counsell,
14 Gammoojjii keessatti dharraa hamaadhaan guutaman; lafa onaa keessattis Waaqa qoran.
But lusted with concupiscence in the wildernes, and tempted God in the desert.
15 Kanaafuu inni waan isaan kadhatan kenneef; garuu dhukkuba nama huqqisu isaanitti erge.
Then he gaue them their desire: but he sent leannesse into their soule.
16 Isaan qubata keessatti Musee fi Aroon qulqullicha Waaqayyootti hinaafan.
They enuied Moses also in the tentes, and Aaron the holy one of the Lord.
17 Lafti afaan banattee Daataanin liqimsite; garee Abiiraamis gad fudhatte.
Therefore the earth opened and swallowed vp Dathan, and couered the companie of Abiram.
18 Duuka buutoota isaanii gidduutti ibiddi bobaʼe; arrabni ibiddaas hamoota fixe.
And the fire was kindled in their assembly: the flame burnt vp the wicked.
19 Isaan Kooreebitti jabbii tolfatan; fakkii baqfamee tolfames waaqeffatan.
They made a calfe in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
20 Isa Ulfina isaanii taʼe sana, fakkii sangaa marga dheeduutti geeddaran.
Thus they turned their glory into the similitude of a bullocke, that eateth grasse.
21 Waaqa isaan fayyise, isa biyya Gibxitti waan gurguddaa hojjete sana irraanfatan.
They forgate God their Sauiour, which had done great things in Egypt,
22 Dinqii inni biyya Haam keessatti hojjete, hojii sodaachisaa inni Galaana Diimaa irratti hojjetes ni irraanfatan.
Wonderous woorkes in the lande of Ham, and fearefull things by the red Sea.
23 Kanaafuu utuu filatamaan isaa Museen akka dheekkamsi Waaqaa isaan hin balleessineef gidduu galee fuula isaa dura dhaabachuu baatee silaa Waaqni akka isaan balleessu dubbatee ture.
Therefore he minded to destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stand in the breach before him to turne away his wrath, least he shoulde destroy them.
24 Isaanis biyya namatti tolu sana tuffatan; waadaa Waaqni gales hin amanne.
Also they contemned that pleasant land, and beleeued not his worde,
25 Dunkaanota isaanii keessatti ni guunguman; Waaqayyoofis hin ajajamne.
But murmured in their tentes, and hearkened not vnto the voice of the Lord.
26 Kanaafuu inni akka gammoojjii keessatti isaan gatu harka isaa ol qabatee kakate;
Therefore hee lifted vp his hande against them, to destroy them in the wildernesse,
27 sanyii isaanii akka saboota gidduutti gatu, biyyoota hunda keessas akka isaan bittinneessu kakate.
And to destroy their seede among the nations, and to scatter them throughout the countries.
28 Isaan Baʼaal Pheʼooritti of kennanii aarsaa waaqota lubbuu hin qabneef dhiʼeeffame nyaatan.
They ioyned themselues also vnto Baalpeor, and did eate the offrings of the dead.
29 Hojii isaanii hamaa sanaan Waaqayyoon dheekkamsaaf kakaasan; dhaʼichis isaan irra buʼe.
Thus they prouoked him vnto anger with their owne inuentions, and the plague brake in vpon them.
30 Garuu Fiinehaas kaʼee gidduu seennaan dhaʼichi sun dhaabate.
But Phinehas stoode vp, and executed iudgement, and the plague was staied.
31 Kunis dhalootaa hamma dhalootaatti, akka qajeelummaatti isaaf herregame.
And it was imputed vnto him for righteousnes from generation to generation for euer.
32 Isaan bishaan Mariibaa biratti akka Waaqayyo aaru godhan. Museenis sababii isaaniitiif rakkate;
They angred him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was punished for their sakes,
33 sababii isaan Hafuura Waaqaatti fincilaniif Museen utuu itti hin yaadin dubbate.
Because they vexed his spirite, so that hee spake vnaduisedly with his lippes.
34 Isaan akka Waaqayyo isaan ajajetti, saboota hin balleessine;
Neither destroied they the people, as the Lord had commanded them,
35 isaan garuu ormootatti makamanii duudhaa isaanii baratan.
But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their workes,
36 Waaqota isaanii tolfamoo, kanneen kiyyoo isaanitti taʼan waaqeffatan.
And serued their idoles, which were their ruine.
37 Ilmaan isaaniitii fi intallan isaanii aarsaa godhanii hafuurota hamoof dhiʼeessan.
Yea, they offered their sonnes, and their daughters vnto deuils,
38 Isaanis dhiiga warra balleessaa hin qabnee, dhiiga ilmaan isaaniitii fi intallan isaanii, kan waaqota tolfamoo Kanaʼaaniif aarsaa godhanii dhiʼeessan sana dhangalaasan; biyyattiinis dhiiga isaaniitiin faalamte.
And shed innocent blood, euen the blood of their sonnes, and of their daughters, whome they offred vnto the idoles of Canaan, and the lande was defiled with blood.
39 Isaan waanuma hojjetaniin of xureessan; hojii isaaniitiin sagaagaltoota of taasisan.
Thus were they steined with their owne woorkes, and went a whoring with their owne inuentions.
40 Kanaafuu Waaqayyo saba isaatti aare; handhuuraa isaas ni balfe.
Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, and he abhorred his owne inheritance.
41 Inni dabarsee ormootatti isaan kenne; amajaajonni isaaniis of jalatti isaan bulchan.
And hee gaue them into the hande of the heathen: and they that hated them, were lordes ouer them.
42 Diinonni isaanii isaan cunqursan; humna isaanii jalas isaan galfatan.
Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were humbled vnder their hand.
43 Inni yeroo baayʼee isaan baraare; isaan garuu ittuma fufanii fincilan; ittuma caalchisaniis cubbuu hojjetan.
Many a time did hee deliuer them, but they prouoked him by their counsels: therefore they were brought downe by their iniquitie.
44 Inni garuu yommuu iyya isaanii dhagaʼetti, rakkina isaanii hubate;
Yet hee sawe when they were in affliction, and he heard their crie.
45 isaaniif jedhee kakuu isaa yaadate; sababii jaalala isaa guddaa sanaatiif garaa laafeef.
And he remembred his couenant towarde them and repented according to the multitude of his mercies,
46 Inni akka warri isaan boojiʼan hundinuu garaa isaaniif laafaniif godhe.
And gaue them fauour in the sight of all them that lead them captiues.
47 Yaa Waaqayyo, Waaqa keenya nu oolchi; akka nu maqaa kee qulqulluu sana galateeffannuuf, akka galata keetiin of jajnuufis, ormoota keessaa walitti nu qabi.
Saue vs, O Lord our God, and gather vs from among the heathen, that we may praise thine holy Name, and glorie in thy praise.
48 Waaqayyo, Waaqa Israaʼeliitiif, bara baraa hamma bara baraatti galanni haa gaʼu. Namni hundinuu “Ameen!” haa jedhu. Haalleluuyaa!
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for euer and euer, and let all the people say, So be it. Praise yee the Lord.
