Fiiliphisiyuus 3
1 Dhuma irrattis yaa obboloota ko, Gooftaatti gammadaa! Ani waanuma kanaan duraa irra deebiʼee isinii barreessuun na hin dhibu; kun isiniif eegumsa.
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you indeed is not burdensome to me, but it is safe to you.
2 Saroota irraa of eeggadhaa; namoota hammina hojjetan irraa of eeggadhaa; dhagna qabaa sobaa irraas of eeggadhaa.
Beware of dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the counterfeit circumcision.
3 Sababiin isaa nu warri Hafuura Waaqaatiin waaqeffannu, warri Kiristoos Yesuusiin of jajnuu fi warri foon hin amananne dhagna qabanneerraatii;
For we are the circumcision, who serve the Spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, also having no confidence in the flesh:
4 taʼus ani mataan koo amanachuu akkanaatiif sababii qaba. Namni biraa kam iyyuu foon amanachuuf waan sababii qabu yoo of seʼe, ani immoo isa caalaa qaba:
even though also having confidence in the flesh. If any other one seems to have confidence in the flesh, I the more:
5 Ani dhaladhee guyyaa saddeettaffaattin dhagna qabadhe; sanyii Israaʼel keessaas gosa Beniyaam irraa dhaladhe; warra Ibrootaa keessaas Ibricha tokkoo dha; akka seeraattis ani Fariisota keessaa tokko dha;
in circumcision the eighth day, of the race of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;
6 waaʼee hinaaffaa, ani waldaa kiristaanaa ariʼachaan ture; waaʼee qajeelummaa seera eeguun argamuus ani mudaa hin qabu ture.
in reference to zeal, persecuting the church, according to righteousness which was in the law being blameless.
7 Garuu waan na fayyadaa ture amma Kiristoosiif jedhee akka waan gatii hin qabneetti nan ilaala.
Those things which were gained to me, these I counted loss for the sake of Christ.
8 Dhugumaanuu sababii Gooftaa koo Kiristoos Yesuus isa waan hundumaa caalu sana beekuutiif ani waan hundumaa akka waan gatii hin qabneetti nan ilaala. Ani isaaf jedhee waan hundumaa dhabeera; Kiristoosin argachuufis waan hundumaa akka kosiitti nan ilaala;
Yes truly, I even counted all things loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for the sake of whom I suffer the loss of all things, and I consider them but excrements, that I may gain Christ,
9 kunis qajeelummaa mataa koo kan seera eeguun argamu utuu hin taʼin qajeelummaa Kiristoositti amanuun argamu jechuunis akka ani qajeelummaa Waaqa biraa amantiidhaan dhufu qabaadhee isa keessa jiraadhuuf.
and may be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of law, but that which is through faith of Christ, the righteousness of God through faith:
10 Ani Kiristoosii fi humna duʼaa kaʼuu isaa beekuu, dhiphina isaa keessatti hirmaachuu fi duʼa isaatiinis isa fakkaachuu nan barbaada;
to know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
11 akkasiinis ani duʼaa kaʼuu warra duʼanii argachuu nan dandaʼa.
if perchance I may attain unto the resurrection which is out from the dead.
12 Kiristoos Yesuus waan kan ofii isaa na godhateef anis waan kana harkatti galfachuuf nan fiiga jechuudha malee waan kana hunda argadheera yookaan nama hirʼina hin qabne taʼeera jechuu miti.
Not that I already received it, or have already been made perfect: but I persevere, if I may receive that for which I have indeed been received by Christ Jesus.
13 Yaa obboloota, ani akka waan harkatti isa galfadheetti hin ilaalu. Waan tokko garuu nan godha: Waan na duuba jiru irraanfadhee gara waan fuula koo dura jiruutti nan hiixadha;
Brethren, I do not consider that I have yet received it;
14 badhaasa Waaqni Kiristoos Yesuusiin ol samiitti itti na waame sana argachuuf gara kaayyoo sanaatti nan fiiga.
but there is one thing, indeed forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forward to those which are before, I press toward the goal unto the mark of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Nu warri bilchaatoon hundinuu waan akkanaa haa yaadnu. Yoo waan tokko tokko irratti yaada garaa garaa qabaattan garuu kanas Waaqni isinii ibsa.
Therefore let us, so many as are perfect, think the same thing: and if you think otherwise in any respect, God will also reveal this to you:
16 Taʼus waanuma kanaan dura irra geenye sanaan haa jiraannu.
only, whereunto we have already attained, to walk by the same rule.
17 Yaa obboloota, fakkeenya koo duukaa buʼuudhaan warra kaaniin tokko taʼaa; warra fakkeenya nu isinii kennineen jiraatanis hubadhaa.
Be ye my imitators, brethren, and mark those thus walking about as you have us an example.
18 Akkuma ani yeroo hedduu isinitti himee fi akkuma ani amma illee imimmaaniin iyyuu isinitti himu, namoonni baayʼeen diinota fannoo Kiristoos taʼanii jiraatuutii.
For many walk about, of whom I frequently spoke to you, and now I speak even weeping, the enemies of the cross of Christ:
19 Dhumni isaanii badiisa; Waaqni isaanii garaa isaanii ti; ulfinni isaanii salphina isaaniitiin. Yaadni isaaniis waanuma lafaa irratti hundeeffama.
whose end is destruction, whose God is their stomach, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.
20 Nu garuu biyyi keenya samii irra. Fayyisaa achii dhufu, Gooftaa Yesuus Kiristoos eegganna;
For our citizenship is in the heavens; whence we are indeed looking for our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 innis humna waan hunda of jala galfachuu isa dandeessisu sanaan akka dhagni keenya inni dadhabaan dhagna isaa ulfina qabeessa sana fakkaatuuf dhagna keenya ni geeddara.
who will transform the body of our humility, similitudinous to the body of his own glory, according to the energy by which he is able indeed to subdue all things to himself.
