Fiiliphisiyuus 2
1 Kanaafuu gorsa Kiristoosiin qabdan kam iyyuu taanaan, jaalalaan wal jajjabeessuu kam iyyuu taanaan, tokkummaa Hafuuraa kam iyyuu taanaan, araaraa fi gara laafina kam iyyuu taanaan,
So if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any comfort from love, if there is any fellowship in the Spirit, if there is any compassion or mercy,
2 gammachuu koo naa guutaa; yaadaan tokko taʼaa; jaalala tokko qabaadhaa; hafuuraa fi kaayyoon tokko taʼaa.
make my joy complete by adopting the same mindset, having the same love, being united in spirit, and having one purpose.
3 Isin gad of qabuudhaan akka waan warri kaan isin caalaniitti ilaalaa malee fedhii ofittummaatiin yookaan of tuulummaatiin waanuma tokko illee hin hojjetinaa.
Do nothing from selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility regard others as more important than yourselves.
4 Tokkoon tokkoon keessan waan warra kaaniifis taʼu malee waan isin qofaaf taʼu hin ilaalinaa.
None of you should look out for your own interests, but for the interests of others.
5 Yaadni Kiristoos Yesuus keessa ture sun, isin keessas haa jiraatu.
Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus,
6 Inni utuma bifa Waaqaatiin jiruu, wal qixxummaa Waaqa wajjin qabu akka waan irraa fudhatameetti hin lakkoofne;
who, though he was in the form of God, did not consider equality with God as something to be exploited,
7 qooda kanaa inni bifa garbaa uffatee fakkaattii namaa fudhachuudhaan duwwaa of godhe.
but emptied himself by taking the form of a servant and being born in the likeness of men.
8 Bifa namaa uffatee argamuudhaanis, gad of deebise; duʼaaf jechuunis duʼa fannoo irraatiif iyyuu ni ajajame!
And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
9 Kanaafuu Waaqni akka malee ol isa qabe; maqaa maqaa hunda caalus isaaf kenne.
Therefore God highly exalted him and gave him the name that is above every other name,
10 Kunis akka jilbi hundinuu samii fi lafa irratti, lafa jalattis, maqaa Yesuusiif jilbeenfatuuf.
so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 Akka arrabni hundinuus ulfina Waaqa Abbaatiif jedhee Yesuus Kiristoos Gooftaa taʼuu isaa dhugaa baʼuuf.
and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Kanaafuu yaa jaallatamoo, akkuma yeroo hunda ajajamtan sana, yeroo ani isin bira jiru qofa utuu hin taʼin amma yeroo ani isin bira hin jirretti caalchisaatii sodaa fi hollannaan fayyina keessan fiixaan baasuuf itti fufaa;
Therefore, my beloved friends, just as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,
13 akkuma kaayyoo isaa gaarii sanaatti fedhuu fi hojjechuu isin keessatti kan raawwatu Waaqaatii.
for God is the one at work in you, granting you the will and power to do so, according to his good pleasure.
14 Waan hunda guungummii fi falmii malee hojjedhaa;
Do everything without grumbling or arguing,
15 kunis akka isin dhaloota micciiramaa fi jalʼaa kana gidduutti akkuma ifaa addunyaa keessatti ibsitaniif, akka warra mudaa hin qabnee fi qulqullaaʼoo, ijoollee Waaqaa warra yakka hin qabnes taataniif,
so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world
16 yoo isin dubbii jireenyaa jabeessitanii qabattan ani akkasumaan akka hin fiigin yookaan akkasumaan akka hin dadhabin guyyaa Kiristoositti of jajuu nan dandaʼa.
as you hold firmly to the word of life. Then I will have a reason to boast in the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.
17 Ani utuu aarsaa fi tajaajila amantii keessanii irratti akka dhibaayyuutti dhangalaafamee iyyuu nan gammada; hunda keessan wajjinis nan gammada.
But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I am glad and rejoice with you all.
18 Kanaafuu isinis na wajjin gammaduu fi ililchuu qabdu.
In the same way you also should be glad and rejoice with me.
19 Ani oduu waaʼee keessanii dhagaʼee gammaduuf, akka ani dafee Xiimotewosin gara keessanitti erguu dandaʼu Gooftaa Yesuusin nan abdadha.
I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you soon so that I too may be encouraged when I receive news about you.
20 Ani nama biraa kan akka isaa waaʼee keessan garaa qulqulluun yaadu tokko illee hin qabu.
I have no one else like-minded who will be genuinely concerned about your welfare.
21 Sababiin isaas warri kaan hundi utuu fedhii Yesuus Kiristoosiif hin taʼin fedhii mataa isaaniitiif yaaduutii.
For they all seek their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus.
22 Xiimotewos garuu akkuma ilmi abbaa isaa tajaajilutti hojii wangeelaa keessatti na wajjin tajaajiluu isaa akka of mirkaneesse isinuu beektu.
But you know Timothy's proven character, how as a son with a father he has served with me in the work of the gospel.
23 Kanaaf ani akkuma haala koo hubadheen isa erguuf nan abdadha.
Therefore I hope to send him to you at once, as soon as I find out what is going to happen to me.
24 Ani mataan koo iyyuu dafee dhufuuf Gooftaa nan amanadha.
And I am confident in the Lord that I myself will also come soon.
25 Ani garuu obboleessa koo Ephafroodiixuu hojjetaa hidhata koo taʼee fi loltuu hidhata koo taʼe, ergamaa keessan kan isin akka inni waan na barbaachisuun na tajaajiluuf ergitan sana deebisee gara keessan erguun barbaachisaa natti fakkaata.
But for now I thought it necessary to send back to you Epaphroditus—my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger and minister to my need.
26 Inni hunda keessan yaadaatii; isin akka inni dhukkubsatee ture waan dhageessaniifis dhiphachaa jira.
For he has been longing for you all and was distressed because you heard that he was sick.
27 Inni dhugumaan dhukkubsatee duʼuu gaʼee ture. Waaqni garuu isa maareera; utuu isa qofa hin taʼin akka gaddi gadda irratti natti hin dabalamneef anas baraareera.
Indeed he was sick, almost to the point of death. But God had mercy on him, and not only on him but also on me, so that I would not have one sorrow after another.
28 Kanaafuu isin akka yommuu lammata isa argitanitti gammaddanii fi akka yaaddoon koos naa salphatuuf dafee gara keessanitti isa erguu guddaa nan hawwa.
Therefore I am all the more eager to send him, so that when you see him again you can rejoice and I can be less anxious.
29 Isinis Gooftaadhaan gammachuu guddaan isa simadhaa; namoota akkasiis kabajaa;
So receive him in the Lord with all joy, and honor men like him,
30 inni gargaarsa isin naa kennuu hin dandaʼin naa kennuuf, jireenya isaa illee dabarsee kennuun, hojii Kiristoosiif jedhee duʼuu iyyuu gaʼee tureetii.
because he drew near to death for the work of Christ, disregarding his own life to complete what was lacking in your service to me.
