Fiiliphisiyuus 1
1 Phaawulosii fi Xiimotewos tajaajiltoota Kiristoos Yesuus irraa, Gara warra karaa Kiristoos Yesuusiin qulqulloota taʼan kanneen Phaaphaasotaa fi daaqonoota wajjin Fiiliphisiyuus keessa jiraatan hundaatti:
Paul and Timothy, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
2 Abbaa keenya Waaqaa fi Yesuus Kiristoos Gooftaa biraa ayyaannii fi nagaan isiniif haa taʼu.
Grace [be] to you, and peace, from God our Father and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Ani yeroo isin yaadadhu hunda Waaqa koo nan galateeffadha.
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 Ani kadhannaa hunda keessaniif kadhadhu keessatti yeroo hunda gammachuun nan kadhadha;
Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5 isin guyyaa jalqabaatii hamma ammaatti wangeela lallabuu keessatti hirmaattaniirtuutii;
For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6 inni hojii gaarii isin keessatti jalqabe sun hamma guyyaa Kiristoos Yesuusitti akka raawwatu nan amana.
Being confident of this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you, will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:
7 Waan isin garaa koo keessa jirtaniif ani waaʼee hunda keessanii akkanatti yaaduun koo anaaf sirrii dha; hidhamuu koo keessattis taʼu yookaan wangeelaaf falmuu kootii fi akka wangeelli cimee dhaabatu gochuu koo keessatti hundi keessan na wajjin ayyaana Waaqaa keessatti hirmaatuutii.
Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
8 Akka ani jaalala Kiristoos Yesuusiin hammam hunda keessan yaadu Waaqayyo dhuga baatu koo ti.
For God is my witness, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
9 Kadhannaan koo kanaa dha: kunis akka jaalalli keessan beekumsaa fi hubannaa hundaan ittuma fufee baayʼatu,
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and [in] all judgment;
10 akka isin isa waan hundumaa caalu addaan baaftanii beekuu dandeessanii fi akka isin hamma guyyaa Kiristoosittis qulqullootaa fi warra mudaa hin qabne taataniif,
That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ;
11 akka ulfinaa fi galata Waaqaatiifis iji qajeelinaa kan karaa Yesuus Kiristoosiin argamuun guutamtaniif.
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
12 Yaa obboloota, wanti narra gaʼe kun dhugumaan wangeela babalʼisuuf gargaaruu isaa akka beektan nan barbaada.
But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things [which happened] to me have fallen out rather to the furtherance of the gospel;
13 Kanaanis Kiristoosiif jedhee hidhamuun koo guutummaa masaraatii fi namoota kaan hunda biratti beekameera.
So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other [places];
14 Sababii ani hidhameefis obboloota keessaa garri caalaan Gooftaa amanatanii, dubbii Waaqaa sodaa malee dubbachuuf ija jabina guddaa argataniiru.
And many of the brethren in the Lord, becoming confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15 Namoonni tokko tokko dhugumaan weennoo fi morkiidhaan Kiristoosin lallabu; warri kaan garuu yaada gaariidhaan lallabu.
Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife; and some also from good will.
16 Warri yaada gaariidhaan lallaban kunneen, akka ani wangeelaaf falmuuf jedhee as kaaʼame beekanii jaalalaan lallabu.
The one preach Christ from contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
17 Warri weennoo fi morkiidhaan lallaban immoo utuu garaa qulqulluun hin taʼin, mana hidhaa keessatti rakkina natti cimsuuf jedhanii fedhii ofittummaatiin Kiristoosin lallabu.
But the other from love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel.
18 Yoos wanni kun maal qaba ree? Wanni barbaachisaan fakkeessuunis taʼu yookaan dhugaan karaa kam iyyuu Kiristoos lallabamuu isaa ti. Sababii kanaaf ani akka malee nan gammada. Eeyyee ani ittuma fufee nan gammada;
What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yes, and will rejoice.
19 akka wanni narra gaʼe kun karaa kadhannaa keessaniitii fi karaa gargaarsa Hafuura Yesuus Kiristoosiin gara furamaatti naa geeddaramu nan beekaatii.
For I know that this will turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20 Ani akkuma yeroo kaanii ammas jireenyaanis taʼu yookaan duʼaan ija jabinaan dubbachuun koo akka Kiristoos dhagna koo keessatti ulfina argatuuf malee karaa kamiin iyyuu akka hin qaanofneef baayʼisee nan hawwa; nan abdadhas.
According to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but [that] with all boldness, as always, [so] now also, Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.
21 Anaaf jiraachuun Kiristoos; duʼuunis buʼaa dha.
For to me to live [is] Christ, and to die [is] gain.
22 Ani yoo fooniin jiraadhe kun anaaf hojii buʼa qabeessa; garuu maalan filadha? Ani hin beeku!
But if I live in the flesh, this [is] the fruit of my labor: yet what I shall choose I know not.
23 Ani yaada kana lamaan gidduutti rarraʼeera; ani deemee Kiristoos wajjin jiraachuu nan hawwa; kun waan hunda caalaatii;
For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
24 isiniif garuu fooniin turuun koo caalaa barbaachisaa dha.
Nevertheless, to abide in the flesh [is] more needful for you.
25 Anis kana amanadhee akka isin amantiin guddattanii fi akka isin gammaddaniif hunda keessan bira akka turu, isin wajjinis akka jiraadhun beeka.
And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;
26 Kunis ani ammas isin biratti argamuu kootiin of jajuun isin Kiristoos Yesuusitti qabdan sababii kootiin akka baayʼatuuf.
That your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again.
27 Waan fedhe iyyuu taʼu akka wangeela Kiristoosiif malutti jiraadhaa. Yoos ani dhufee isin arguunis taʼu yookaan fagoo taaʼee waaʼee keessan dhagaʼuu qofaan, akka isin amantii wangeelaatiif jettanii akkuma nama tokkootti tattaaffachuun hafuura tokkoon jabaattanii dhaabattan nan beeka.
Only let your manner of life be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
28 Isin waanuma tokkoon illee mormitoota keessaniin hin raafaminaa. Kun isaaniif mallattoo badiisaa ti; isiniif immoo mallattoo fayyinaa ti; kunis hojii Waaqaa ti.
And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that from God.
29 Isin akka Kiristoositti amantan qofa utuu hin taʼin akka isaaf jettanii dhiphattaniifis kun isaaf jechaa isinii kennameeraatii;
For to you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
30 kunis walʼaansoo ani keessa ture isa argitan sanaa fi isa ani amma iyyuu keessa jiru kan dhageessan kana keessa darbuutti waan jirtaniifii dha.
Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, [and] now hear [to be] in me.
