1 Erga sabni Israaʼel biyya Gibxiitii baʼee booddee waggaa lammaffaa keessaa, guyyaa jalqaba jiʼa lammaffaatti Waaqayyo dunkaana wal gaʼii keessatti, Gammoojjii Siinaa keessatti Museetti dubbate. Innis akkana jedheen;
The Lord spake againe vnto Moses in the wildernesse of Sinai, in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, in the first day of the second moneth, in the second yere after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying,
2 “Waldaa saba Israaʼel hunda lakkaaʼaatii balbala balbalaanii fi maatii maatiidhaan maqaa dhiirotaa tokko tokkoon barreessaa.
Take ye the summe of all the Congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, and housholdes of their fathers with the nomber of their names: to wit, all the males, man by man:
3 Namoota Israaʼel keessaa dhiirota umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hunda atii fi Aroon kutaa kutaa isaaniitiin lakkaaʼaa.
From twentie yere olde and aboue, all that go forth to the warre in Israel, thou and Aaron shall number them, throughout their armies.
4 Tokkoo tokkoo gosaa keessaa namni hangafa maatii ofii isaa taʼe isin gargaaruu qaba.
And with you shalbe men of euery tribe, such as are the heads of the house of their fathers.
5 “Maqaan namoota isin gargaaruu qabanii kanneenii dha: “Gosa Ruubeen keessaa Eliizuur ilma Shedeeʼuur;
And these are the names of the men that shall stand with you, of the tribe of Reuben, Elizur, the sonne of Shedeur:
6 gosa Simiʼoon keessaa Shilumiiʼeel ilma Zuriishadaayi;
Of Simeon, Shelumiel the sonne of Zurishaddai:
7 gosa Yihuudaa keessaa Nahishoon ilma Amiinaadaab;
Of Iudah, Nahshon the sonne of Amminadab:
8 gosa Yisaakor keessaa Naatnaaʼel ilma Zuuwaar;
Of Issachar, Nethaneel, the sonne of Zuar:
9 gosa Zebuuloon keessaa Eliiyaab ilma Heeloon;
Of Zebulun, Eliab, the sonne of Helon:
10 ilmaan Yoosef keessaa: gosa Efreem keessaa Eliishaamaa ilma Amiihuud; gosa Minaasee keessaa Gamaaliʼeel ilma Phedaasuur;
Of the children of Ioseph: of Ephraim, Elishama the sonne of Ammihud: of Manasseh, Gamliel, the sonne of Pedahzur:
11 gosa Beniyaam keessaa Abiidaan ilma Gaadeyoon,
Of Beiamin, Abida the sonne of Gideoni:
12 gosa Daan keessaa Ahiiʼezer ilma Amiishadaay;
Of Dan, Ahiezer, the sonne of Ammishaddai:
13 gosa Aasheer keessaa Fagiʼeel ilma Okraan;
Of Asher, Pagiel, the sonne of Ocran:
14 gosa Gaad keessaa Eliyaasaaf ilma Deʼuuʼeel;
Of Gad, Eliasaph, the sonne of Deuel:
15 gosa Niftaalem keessaa Ahiiraa ilma Eenaan.”
Of Naphtali, Ahira the sonne of Enan.
16 Namoonni kunneen warra dura buʼoota gosoota abbootii isaanii taʼanii waldaa sana keessaa filatamanii dha. Isaanis hangafoota balbalawwan Israaʼel turan.
These were famous in the Congregation, princes of the tribes of their fathers, and heads ouer thousands in Israel.
17 Musee fi Aroon namoota maqaan isaanii eerame kanneen fudhatanii,
The Moses and Aaron tooke these men which are expressed by their names.
18 guyyaa jalqaba jiʼa lammaffaatti waldaa hunda walitti waaman. Namoonni sunis akkuma balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti hidda dhaloota isaanii himatan; dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii maqaan isaanii tokko tokkoon galmeeffame;
And they called all the Congregation together, in the first day of the second moneth, who declared their kindreds by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, man by man.
19 innis akkuma Waaqayyo Musee ajajetti Gammoojjii Siinaa keessatti saba sana lakkaaʼe.
As the Lord had commanded Moses, so he nombred them in the wildernesse of Sinai.
20 Sanyii Ruubeen ilma Israaʼel hangaftichaa keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti tokko tokkoon maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
So were the sonnes of Reuben Israels eldest sonne by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, man by man euery male from twentie yere olde and aboue, as many as went forth to warre:
21 Baayʼinni gosa Ruubeen nama 46,500 ture.
The nomber of them, I say, of the tribe of Reuben, was sixe and fourtie thousande, and fiue hundreth.
22 Sanyii Simiʼoon keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti tokko tokkoon maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the sonnes of Simeon by their generatios, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, the summe therof by the nomber of their names, man by man, euery male from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
23 Baayʼinni gosa Simiʼoon nama 59,300 ture.
The summe of them, I say, of the tribe of Simeon was nine and fiftie thousande, and three hundreth.
24 Sanyii Gaad keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the sonnes of Gad by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
25 Baayʼinni gosa Gaad nama 45,650 ture.
The number of them, I say, of the tribe of Gad was fiue and fourtie thousand, and six hundreth and fiftie.
26 Sanyii Yihuudaa keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the sonnes of Iudah by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
27 Baayʼinni gosa Yihuudaa nama 74,600 ture.
The nomber of them, I say, of the tribe of Iudah was three score and fourteene thousande, and sixe hundreth.
28 Sanyii Yisaakor keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the sonnes of Issachar by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went forth to warre:
29 Baayʼinni gosa Yisaakor nama 54,400 ture.
The nomber of them also of the tribe of Issachar was foure and fiftie thousande and foure hundreth.
30 Sanyii Zebuuloon keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmeewwan balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the sonnes of Zebulun by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
31 Baayʼinni gosa Zebuuloon nama 57,400 ture.
The nomber of them also of the tribe of Zebulun was seuen and fiftie thousand and foure hundreth.
32 Ilmaan Yoosef keessaa: Sanyii Efreem keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the sonnes of Ioseph, namely of the sonnes of Ephraim by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
33 Baayʼinni gosa Efreem nama 40,500 ture.
The nomber of them also of the tribe of Ephraim was fourtie thousande and fiue hundreth.
34 Sanyii Minaasee keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the sonnes of Manasseh by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
35 Baayʼinni gosa Minaasee nama 32,200 ture.
The nober of the also of ye tribe of Manasseh was two and thirtie thousand and two hundreth.
36 Sanyii Beniyaam keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the sonnes of Beniamin by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
37 Baayʼinni gosa Beniyaam nama 35,400 ture.
The nomber of them also of the tribe of Beniamin was fiue and thirtie thousande and foure hundreth.
38 Sanyii Daan keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the sonnes of Dan by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
39 Baayʼinni gosa Daan nama 62,700 ture.
The nomber of the also of ye tribe of Dan was three score and two thousand and seue hudreth.
40 Sanyii Aasheer keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaaniitti maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the sonnes of Asher by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the number of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went foorth to warre:
41 Baayʼinni gosa Aasheer nama 41,500 ture.
The nomber of them also of ye tribe of Asher was one and fourtie thousand and fiue hudreth.
42 Sanyii Niftaalem keessaa: Dhiironni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen lola dhaquu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma galmee balbalaa fi maatii isaanitti maqaa maqaadhaan barreeffaman.
Of the children of Naphtali, by their generations, by their families, and by the houses of their fathers, according to the nomber of their names, from twentie yeere olde and aboue, all that went to the warre:
43 Baayʼinni gosa Niftaalem nama 53,400 ture.
The nomber of them also of the tribe of Naphtali, was three and fiftie thousand, and foure hundreth.
44 Dhiironni kunneen warra Musee fi Aroon hangafoota Israaʼel kudha lamaaniin lakkaaʼaman turan; hangafoonni kunneenis tokkoon tokkoon isaanii iddoo buʼoota maatii isaanii turan.
These are the summes which Moses, and Aaron nombred, and the Princes of Israel, the twelue men, which were euery one for the house of their fathers.
45 Israaʼeloonni umuriin isaanii waggaa digdamaatii fi hammasii olii kanneen Israaʼel keessatti lolaaf baʼuu dandaʼan hundinuu akkuma maatii isaaniitti lakkaaʼaman.
So this was all the summe of the sonnes of Israel, by the houses of their fathers, from twenty yeere olde and aboue, all that went to the warre in Israel,
46 Walumaa galatti baayʼinni namaa 603,550 ture.
And all they were in nomber sixe hudreth and three thousande, fiue hundreth and fiftie.
47 Lewwonni garuu akka gosa abbootii isaaniitti warra kaan wajjin hin lakkaaʼamne.
But the Leuites, after the tribes of their fathers were not nombred among them.
48 Waaqayyo Museedhaan akkana jedhee ture:
For the Lord had spoken vnto Moses, and said,
49 “Ati gosa Lewwii hin lakkaaʼin yookaan lakkoobsa saba Israaʼeloota kaaniitti hin dabalin.
Onely thou shalt not number the tribe of Leui, neither take the summe of them among the children of Israel:
50 Qooda kanaa akka Lewwonni itti gaafatamtoota dunkaana dhuga baʼumsaa, miʼa isaa hundaa fi waan inni qabu hundaa taʼaniif isaan muudi. Isaanis dunkaana qulqulluu fi miʼa isaa hunda haa baatan; dunkaanicha haa tajaajilan; naannoo isaas haa qubatan.
But thou shalt appoynt the Leuites ouer the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, and ouer all the instruments thereof, and ouer all things that belong to it: they shall beare the Tabernacle, and all the instruments thereof, and shall minister in it, and shall dwell round about the Tabernacle.
51 Yeroo dunkaanni qulqulluun deemuu qabutti Lewwonni dunkaana sana haa buqqisan; yeroo dunkaanichi dhaabamus Lewwonni haa dhaaban. Namni dunkaanichatti dhiʼaatu biraa haa ajjeefamu.
And when the Tabernacle goeth forth, the Leuites shall take it downe: and when the Tabernacle is to be pitched, ye Leuites shall set it vp: for the stranger that commeth neere, shalbe slaine.
52 Israaʼeloonnis tokkoon tokkoon namaa qubata isaa keessaa fi faajjii isaa jalatti kutaa kutaadhaan dunkaana isaanii haa dhaabbatan.
Also the children of Israel shall pitch their tentes, euery man in his campe, and euery man vnder his standerd throughout their armies.
53 Taʼus Lewwonni akka dheekkamsi Waaqayyoo waldaa Israaʼelitti gad hin buuneef dunkaanota isaanii naannoo dunkaana dhuga baʼumsaa haa dhadhaabatan. Lewwonni eegumsa dunkaana dhuga baʼumsaatti itti gaafatamtoota taʼuu qabu.”
But the Leuites shall pitch rounde about the Tabernacle of the Testimonie, least vengeance come vpon the Congregation of the children of Israel, and the Leuites shall take the charge of the Tabernacle of the Testimonie.
54 Israaʼeloonni akkuma Waaqayyo Musee ajaje sanatti waan kana hunda hojjetan.
So the children of Israel did according to all that ye Lord had comanded Moses: so did they.
