1 Sadarkaaleen adeemsa saba Israaʼel kan yeroo isaan kutaa kutaadhaan qajeelfama Museetii fi Aroon jalatti biyya Gibxii baʼanii kana.
These are the stages in the journeys of the children of Israel [God prevails], as they left the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery] divided into groups under the leadership of Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer].
2 Museen ajaja Waaqayyootiin sadarkaalee adeemsa isaanii galmeesse. Adeemsi isaaniis sadarkaa sadarkaadhaan kunoo ti:
Moses [Drawn out] recorded each of the stages of their journeys by the order of Adonai. These are their journeys according to their goings out.
3 Israaʼeloonni jiʼa jalqabaa keessa guyyaa kudha shanaffaatti guyyaa Faasiikaatti aanu Raamseedhaa kaʼanii qajeelan. Isaanis utuma warri Gibxii hundi isaan arganuu irree jabaadhaan deeman;
They traveled from Rameses in the first month Nissan ·Miracles (in Aramaic), 1·, on the fifteenth day of the first month Nissan ·Miracles (in Aramaic), 1·; on the next day after the Pesac ·Passover·, the children of Israel [God prevails] went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery],
4 yeroo kana warri Gibxi ilmaan hangafa isaanii kanneen Waaqayyo isaan gidduudhaa fixe hunda awwaallachaa turan; waaqota warra Gibxitti Waaqayyo muree tureetii.
while the Egyptians [people from Abode of slavery] were burying all their firstborn, whom Adonai had struck among them. Adonai also executed judgments on their deities.
5 Israaʼeloonnis Raamseedhaa kaʼanii Sukooti qubatan.
The children of Israel [God prevails] traveled from Rameses, and encamped in Sukkot.
6 Sukootii kaʼanii Eetaam ishee qarqara gammoojjiitti argamtu keessa qubatan.
They traveled from Sukkot, and encamped in Etham, which is in the edge of the wilderness.
7 Eetaamii kaʼanii gara Phii Hahiiroti kan gama baʼa Baʼaal Zefooniitti argamtuutti garagalanii Migdool bira qubatan.
They traveled from Etham, and turned back to Pihahiroth, which is before Baal Zephon: and they encamped before Migdol.
8 Fiihahiirootii kaʼanii galaana keessa darbanii gammoojjii seenan; isaanis Gammoojjii Eetaamii keessa bultii sadii deemanii Maaraa qubatan.
They traveled from before Hahiroth, and crossed through the middle of the sea into the wilderness. They went three days’ journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah [Bitter].
9 Maaraadhaa kaʼanii Eelim lafa burqaa kudha lamaa fi muka meexxii torbaatama qabu sana dhaqanii achi qubatan.
They traveled from Marah [Bitter], and came to Elim. In Elim, there were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm trees; and they encamped there.
10 Eelimii kaʼanii Galaana Diimaa cina qubatan.
They traveled from Elim, and encamped by the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea].
11 Galaana Diimaadhaa kaʼanii Gammoojjii Siin keessa qubatan.
They traveled from the Sea of Suf [Reed Sea], and encamped in the wilderness of Cin [Clay].
12 Gammoojjii Siiniitii kaʼanii Dofqaa qubatan.
They traveled from the wilderness of Cin [Clay], and encamped in Dophkah.
13 Dofqaadhaa kaʼanii Aaluush qubatan.
They traveled from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.
14 Aaluushii kaʼanii Refiidiim lafa bishaan namni dhugu hin jirre qubatan.
They traveled from Alush, and encamped in Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.
15 Refiidiimii kaʼanii Gammoojjii Siinaa keessa qubatan.
They traveled from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai [Thorn].
16 Gammoojjii Siinaatii kaʼanii Qiibrooti Hataabaa qubatan.
They traveled from the wilderness of Sinai [Thorn], and encamped in Kibroth Hattaavah.
17 Qiibrooti Hataabaadhaa kaʼanii Haxerooti qubatan.
They traveled from Kibroth Hattaavah, and encamped in Hazeroth.
18 Haxerootii kaʼanii Riitmaa qubatan.
They traveled from Hazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.
19 Riitmaadhaa kaʼanii Rimoon Phereez qubatan.
They traveled from Rithmah, and encamped in Rimmon Perez.
20 Rimoon Phereezii kaʼanii Libnaa qubatan.
They traveled from Rimmon Perez, and encamped in Libnah.
21 Libnaadhaa kaʼanii Riisaa qubatan.
They traveled from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah.
22 Riisaadhaa kaʼanii Qehelaataa qubatan.
They traveled from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.
23 Qehelaataadhaa kaʼanii Gaara Shaafer bira qubatan.
They traveled from Kehelathah, and encamped in Mount Shepher.
24 Gaara Shaafer biraa kaʼanii Haraadaa qubatan.
They traveled from Mount Shepher, and encamped in Haradah.
25 Haraadaa kaʼanii Maqiheelooti qubatan.
They traveled from Haradah, and encamped in Makheloth.
26 Maqiheelootii kaʼanii Tahaati qubatan.

They traveled from Moseroth, and encamped in Bene Jaakan.
32 Benee Yaaʼakaanii kaʼanii Hoori Hagidgaad qubatan.
They traveled from Bene Jaakan, and encamped in Hor Haggidgad.
33 Hoori Hagidgaadii kaʼanii Yoxbaataa qubatan.
They traveled from Hor Haggidgad, and encamped in Jotbathah.

They traveled from Jotbathah, and encamped in Abronah.

They traveled from Ezion Geber, and encamped at Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.
37 Qaadeshii kaʼanii daarii biyya Edoom irra Tulluu Hoori bira qubatan.
They traveled from Kadesh, and encamped in Mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom [Red].
38 Aroon lubichis ajaja Waaqayyootiin Tulluu Hooriitti ol baʼe; innis erga Israaʼeloonni biyya Gibxiitii baʼanii booddee waggaa afurtamaffaatti guyyaa jalqaba jiʼa shanaffaatti achitti duʼe.
At the order of Adonai, Aaron [Light-bringer] the priest went up into Mount Hor, and died there, in the fortieth year after the children of Israel [God prevails] had come out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], in the fifth month Av ·Father, 5·, on the first day of the month.
39 Aroon yommuu Tulluu Hoori irratti duʼe sana umuriin isaa waggaa dhibba tokkoo fi digdamii sadii ture.
Aaron [Light-bringer] was one hundred twenty-three years old when he died in Mount Hor.
40 Mootiin Aaraad namichi Kanaʼaan kan Negeeb keessa jiraachaa ture sun akka sabni Israaʼel dhufaa jiru dhagaʼe.
The Canaanite [Descendant of Humbled], the king of Arad, who lived in the South in the land of Canaan [Humbled], sh'ma ·heard obeyed· of the coming of the children of Israel [God prevails].
41 Isaanis Tulluu Hooriitii kaʼanii Zalmoonaa qubatan.
They traveled from Mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.
42 Zalmoonaadhaa kaʼanii Phuunon qubatan.
They traveled from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.
43 Phuunoniidhaa kaʼanii Oobooti qubatan.
They traveled from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.
44 Oobootii kaʼanii daarii Moʼaab irra Iyyee Abaariim qubatan.
They traveled from Oboth, and encamped in Iye Abarim, in the border of Moab [From father].
45 Iyyiimii kaʼanii Diiboongaad qubatan.
They traveled from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon Gad [Good fortune].
46 Diiboongaadii kaʼanii Almoon Diiblaatayim qubatan.
They traveled from Dibon Gad [Good fortune], and encamped in Almon Diblathaim.
47 Almoon Diiblaatayimii kaʼanii Neboo tulluuwwan Abaariim bira qubatan.
They traveled from Almon Diblathaim, and encamped in the mountains of Abarim, before Nebo.
48 Tulluuwwan Abaariimiitii kaʼanii dirreewwan Moʼaab irra, Yordaanos bira, Yerikoo gama qubatan.
They traveled from the mountains of Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab [From father] by the Jordan [Descender] at Jericho [Fragrant, Moon].
49 Isaanis dirreewwan Moʼaab kan Yordaanos cina Beet Yashiimootii jalqabee hamma Abeel Shixiimiitti jiru sana irra qubatan.
They encamped by the Jordan [Descender], from Beth Jeshimoth even to Abel [Vanity, Mourning] Shittim in the plains of Moab [From father].
50 Waaqayyos dirreewwan Moʼaab irratti, Yordaanos biratti, Yerikoo gamatti Museedhaan akkana jedhe;
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out] in the plains of Moab [From father] by the Jordan [Descender] at Jericho [Fragrant, Moon], saying,
51 “Akkana jedhii saba Israaʼelitti dubbadhu; ‘Isin yommuu Yordaanos ceetanii Kanaʼaanitti galtanitti,
Speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], and tell them, “When you pass over the Jordan [Descender] into the land of Canaan [Humbled],
52 jiraattota biyya sanaa of duraa ariʼaa baasaa. Fakkiiwwan isaanii kanneen soofamanii hojjetamanii fi waaqota isaanii kanneen baqfamanii tolfaman hunda barbadeessaa; gaarran sagadaa isaanii hundas diigaa.
then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their stone idols, destroy all their molten images, and demolish all their high places.
53 Sababii ani biyyattii handhuuraa godhee isinii kenneef, biyyattii dhuunfadhaa keessa jiraadhaa.
You shall take possession of the land, and dwell therein; for I have given the land to you to possess it.
54 Biyya sanas maatiiwwan keessaniif dhaala godhaatii ixaadhaan gargari qoodaa; maatii baayʼeedhaaf dhaala guddaa, maatii muraasaaf immoo dhaala xinnaa kennaa. Iddoon ixaadhaan isaanii baʼe kan isaanii taʼa. Isinis akkuma gosoota abbootii keessaniitti dhaalaa.
You shall inherit the land by lot according to your families; to the more you shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer you shall give the less inheritance. Wherever the lot falls to any man, that shall be his. You shall inherit according to the tribes of your fathers.
55 “‘Garuu yoo isin warra biyya sana jiraatan achii baasuu baattan, warri isin akka isaan achi jiraataniif dhiiftan sun akka huuba ija keessaatii fi akka qoraattii cinaacha keessaa isinitti taʼu. Biyya isin keessa jiraattan keessattis isin rakkisu.
“But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then those you let remain of them will be as pricks in your eyes and as thorns in your sides, and they will harass you in the land in which you dwell.
56 Anis waanan isaan gochuu yaade sana isinitti nan fida.’”
It shall happen that as I thought to do to them, so will I do to you.”
