1 Waaqayyo Museedhaan akkana jedhe;
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
2 “Saba Israaʼelitti akkana jedhii dubbadhu: ‘Yommuu biyya ani akka isin keessa jiraattaniif isiniif kennu sana seentanii
“Speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], and tell them, ‘When you have come into the land of your habitations, which I give to you,
3 aarsaa ibiddaan dhiʼeeffamu kan urgaan isaa Waaqayyotti tolu, loon keessaa yookaan bushaayee keessaa fuutanii aarsaa gubamu yookaan qalma wareega addaatiif yookaan aarsaa fedhii keessanii yookaan aarsaa ayyaana waggaa Waaqayyoof dhiʼeessitu,
and will make an offering by fire to Adonai, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or as a free will offering, or in your set feasts, to make a pleasant aroma to Adonai, of the herd, or of the flock;
4 namni aarsaa dhiʼeessu sun daakuu bullaaʼaa iifii harka kudhan keessaa harka tokko kan zayitii iinii harka afur keessa harka tokkootiin sukkuumame kennaa midhaanii godhee Waaqayyoof haa dhiʼeessu.
then he who offers his offering shall offer to Adonai a meal offering of one tenth of an ephah [an omer; 2.3 q; 2.2 L] of fine flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin [2.6 qt; 1.2 L] of oil.
5 Tokkoo tokkoo xobbaallaa hoolaa kan aarsaa gubamuuf yookaan qalmaaf dhiʼeeffamu wajjinis daadhii wayinii iinii harka afur keessaa harka tokko dhibaayyuudhaaf qopheessi.
You shall prepare wine for the drink offering, the fourth part of a hin [2.6 qt; 1.2 L], with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.
6 “‘Korbeessa hoolaa tokko wajjinis daakuu bullaaʼaa iifii harka kudhan keessaa harka lama kan zayitii iinii harka sadii keessaa harka tokkoon sukkumameen kennaa midhaanii qopheessi.
“‘Or for a ram, you shall prepare for a meal offering one tenth of an ephah [two omers; 4.6 q; 4.4 L] of fine flour mixed with the third part of a hin [2.6 qt; 1.24 L] of oil;
7 Daadhii wayinii iinii harka sadii keessaa harka tokko dhibaayyuu urgaan isaa Waaqayyotti tolu godhii dhiʼeessi.
and for the drink offering you shall offer the third part of a hin [2.6 qt; 1.24 L] of wine, of a pleasant aroma to Adonai.
8 “‘Ati yommuu dibicha loonii tokko aarsaa gubamu yookaan qalma wareega addaatiif yookaan aarsaa nagaatiif Waaqayyoof qopheessitutti,
When you prepare a bull for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or for peace offerings to Adonai;
9 dibicha sana wajjin kennaa midhaanii fidi; kennaan sunis daakuu bullaaʼaa iifii harka kudhan keessaa harka sadii kan zayitii walakkaa iiniitiin sukkuumame haa taʼu.
then shall he offer with the bull a meal offering of three tenths of an ephah [three omers; 6.9 q; 6.6 L] of fine flour mixed with half a hin [5.2 qt; 2.4 L] of oil:
10 Akkasumas daadhii wayinii iinii walakkaa dhibaayyuu godhii fidi. Wanni kunis aarsaa ibiddaan dhiʼeeffamu kan urgaan isaa Waaqayyotti tolu taʼa.
and you shall offer for the drink offering half a hin [5.2 qt; 2.4 L] of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Adonai.
11 Tokkoon tokkoon dibicha loonii yookaan korbeessa hoolaa, tokkoon tokkoon xobbaallaa hoolaa yookaan korbeessa reʼee xinnaa haaluma kanaan haa qopheeffaman.
Thus shall it be done for each bull, or for each ram, or for each of the male lambs, or of the young goats.
12 Akkuma baayʼina waan qopheessitan sanaatti akkuma lakkoobsa isaaniitti, tokkoo tokkoo isaaniitiif akkanuma godhaa.
According to the number that you shall prepare, so you shall do to everyone according to their number.
13 “‘Namni dhalataa biyya sanaa taʼe hundinuu yeroo aarsaa ibiddaan dhiʼeeffamu kan urgaan isaa Waaqayyotti tolu fidutti wantoota kanneen haaluma kanaan haa hojjetu.
“‘All who are native-born shall do these things in this way, in offering an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Adonai.
14 Dhaloota dhufu keessattis alagaan yookaan namni gidduu keessan jiraatu yeroo aarsaa ibiddaan dhiʼeeffamu kan urgaan isaa Waaqayyotti tolu dhiʼeessutti akkuma isin gootan kana haa godhu.
If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you, or whoever may be among you throughout all your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Adonai; as you do, so he shall do.
15 Yaaʼiin sun isinii fi alagaa isin gidduu jiraatuuf illee seeruma tokko haa qabaatu; kunis dhaloota dhufuuf seera bara baraa ti. Atii fi alagaan sun fuula Waaqayyoo duratti wal qixxee dha.
For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner, a statute forever throughout all your generations. As you are, so shall the foreigner be before Adonai.
16 Isiniifis alagaa isin gidduu jiraatuufis seerrii fi dambiin tokkuma haa taʼu.’”
One Torah ·Teaching· and one judgement shall be for you, and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner with you.’”
17 Waaqayyos Museedhaan akkana jedhe;
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
18 “Akkana jedhii Israaʼelootatti dubbadhu: ‘Isin yeroo biyya ani itti isin galchu sana seentanii
“Speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], and tell them, ‘When you come into the land where I bring you,
19 midhaan ishee nyaattanitti, nyaata sana irraa Waaqayyoof kennaa dhiʼeessaa.
then it shall be that when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall offer up a wave offering to Adonai.
20 Bukoo keessan kan jalqabaa irraa maxinoo tokko kennaa dhiʼeessaa; isas akka aarsaa oobdii irraa fuudhameetti dhiʼeessaa.
Of the first of your dough you shall offer up a cake for a wave offering. As the wave offering of the threshing floor, so you shall heave it.
21 Dhaloota dhufu hundumaa keessatti bukoo keessan kan jalqabaa irraa Waaqayyoof kennaa kennuu qabdu.
Of the first of your dough, you shall give to Adonai a wave offering throughout all your generations.
22 “‘Yoo isin utuu hin beekin ajajawwan Waaqayyo Museetti kenne kanneen keessaa tokko illee
“‘If you go astray, intoxicated, unintentional sin ·error· and you fail to observe all these mitzvot ·instructions·, which Adonai has spoken to Moses [Drawn out],
23 jechuunis yoo isin ajaja Waaqayyoo kan gaafa Waaqayyo ajaja kana kennee jalqabee dhaloota dhufu keessa illee ittuma fufuudhaan karaa Museetiin isin ajaje kam iyyuu cabsitan,
even all that Adonai has enjoined you by Moses [Drawn out], from the day that Adonai gave commandment, and onward throughout all your generations;
24 yoo wanti kun dogoggoraan utuu waldaan hin beekin hojjetamee jiraate waldaan sun hundi dibicha loonii aarsaa gubamu kan urgaan isaa Waaqayyotti tolu, kennaa midhaaniitii fi dhibaayyuu ajajame wajjin, aarsaa cubbuutiif immoo korbeessa reʼee haa dhiʼeessan.
then it shall be, if it was done as an unintentional mistake sin ·error·, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bull for a burnt offering, for a pleasant aroma to Adonai, with its meal offering, and its drink offering, according to the judgement, and one male goat for a habitual sin ·miss the mark· offering.
25 Lubnis waldaa saba Israaʼel hundaaf araara haa buusu; isaanis waan utuu hin beekin cubbuu hojjetaniif, balleessaa isaaniitiifis waan aarsaa ibiddaan dhiʼeeffamuu fi aarsaa cubbuu Waaqayyoof fidaniif dhiifama ni argatu.
The priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails], and they shall be forgiven; for it was an unintentional mistake sin ·error·, and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire to Adonai, and their habitual sin ·miss the mark· offering before Adonai, for their unintentional mistake sin ·error·.
26 Sababii sabni hundi balleessaa dogoggoraan hojjetame sana keessatti hirmaateefis waldaan saba Israaʼel hundii fi alagaawwan isaan gidduu jiraatan dhiifama ni argatu.
All the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails] shall be forgiven, as well as the stranger who lives as a foreigner among them; for with regard to all the people, it was an unintentional mistake sin ·error·.
27 “‘Garuu yoo namni tokko qofti utuu hin beekin cubbuu hojjete inni goromtii reʼee kan umuriin ishee waggaa tokkoo aarsaa cubbuutiif haa fidu.
“‘If one person sins ·errs (the standard goal)· that is an unintentional mistake sin ·error·, then he shall offer a female goat a year old for a habitual sin ·miss the mark· offering.
28 Lubni sunis namicha utuu itti hin yaadin cubbuu hojjete sanaaf fuula Waaqayyoo duratti araara haa buusu; erga araarri isaaf buʼee booddee immoo namichi sun dhiifama ni argata.
The priest shall make atonement for the soul who deviates in mental error, unintentional sin ·error·, for his sin ·err (the standard goal)· is an unintentional mistake sin ·error·, before Adonai, to make atonement for him; and he shall be forgiven.
29 Dhalataa Israaʼeliifis taʼu yookaan alagaa isin gidduu jiraatuuf, nama utuu itti hin yaadin cubbuu hojjete hundaaf seerri tokkuma haa taʼu.
You shall have one Torah ·Teaching· for him who does any unintentional mistake sin ·error·, for him who is native-born among the children of Israel [God prevails], and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner among them.
30 “‘Garuu dhalataa biyyaas taʼu yookaan alagaan, namni beekaa cubbuu hojjetu Waaqayyoon arrabsuu isaa ti; namichi sun saba isaa keessaa haa balleeffamu.
“‘But the soul who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, the same blasphemes Adonai. That soul shall be cut off from among his people.
31 Namichi sun sababii dubbii Waaqayyoo tuffatee fi sababii ajaja isaa cabseef inni haa balleeffamu; balleessaa isaattis isatu gaafatama.’”
Because he has despised Adonai’s word, and has broken his order, that soul shall utterly be cut off. His depravity (moral evil) shall be on him.’”
32 Yeroo sabni Israaʼel gammoojjii keessa turetti, namni tokko utuu guyyaa Sanbataatiin qoraan walitti qabatuu argame.
While the children of Israel [God prevails] were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Shabath ·Intermission· day.
33 Warri utuu inni qoraan walitti qabatuu arganis Museetti, Arooniitii fi waldaa guutuutti isa geessan;
Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer], and to all the congregation.
34 sababii wanni isa godhan hin beekaminiif hidhanii isa tursan.
They put him in custody, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.
35 Waaqayyo Museedhaan, “Namichi duʼuu qaba. Waldaan sun guutuun qubataan alatti dhagaadhaan isa haa tumu” jedhe.
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “The man shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp.”
36 Waldaan sun akkuma Waaqayyo Musee ajajetti namicha sana qubata keessaa gad baasee dhagaadhaan tumee ajjeese.
All the congregation brought him outside of the camp, and stoned him to death with stones, as Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out].
37 Waaqayyo Museedhaan akkana jedhe;
Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
38 “Akkana jedhii Israaʼelootatti dubbadhu: ‘Dhaloota dhufu hunda keessa qarqara wayyaa keessanii irratti handaara tolfadhaa; tokkoon tokkoon handaara sanaas foʼaa bifa cuquliisaa haa qabaatu.
“Speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], and tell them that they should make themselves fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put on the fringe of each border a cord of blue:
39 Isin handaara kana ilaaltanii ajaja Waaqayyoo hunda yaadattu; kunis akka ajaja kana eegdanii hawwii garaa keessaniitii fi hawwii ija keessanii duukaa buʼuudhaan hin sagaagalleef.
and it shall be to you for a fringe, that you may look on it, and remember all Adonai’s mitzvot ·instructions·, and do them; and that you not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to play the prostitute;
40 Yoos isin ajaja koo hunda yaadattanii ni eegdu; Waaqa keessaniifis qulqulloota ni taatu.
that you may remember and do all my mitzvot ·instructions·, and be holy to your God.
41 Ani Waaqayyo Waaqa keessan kan Waaqa isinii taʼuuf jedhee biyya Gibxii isin baasee dha. Ani Waaqayyo Waaqa keessan.’”
I am Adonai your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], to be your God: I am Adonai your God.”
