Luqaas 5
1 Gaaf tokko Yesuus utuu Haroo Geensereex bira dhaabatee jiruu, utuu namoonnis isatti naannaʼanii dubbii Waaqaa dhagaʼaa jiranuu,
And it was don, whanne the puple cam fast to Jhesu, to here the word of God, he stood bisidis the pool of Genasereth,
2 bidiruuwwan lama ededa bishaanichaa irratti arge; qurxummii qabdoonni garuu keessaa baʼanii kiyyoo isaanii miicachaa turan.
and saiy two bootis stondynge bisidis the pool; and the fischeris weren go doun, and waischiden her nettis.
3 Innis bidiruuwwan sana gidduudhaa ishee kan Simoon taate tokko yaabbate; akka inni qarqara lafaa irraa gara gidduu bishaaniitti xinnoo achi butus isa kadhate. Yesuusis bidiruu sana irra taaʼee namoota barsiisuu jalqabe.
And he wente vp in to a boot, that was Symoundis, and preiede hym to lede it a litil fro the loond; and he seet, and tauyte the puple out of the boot.
4 Innis yommuu dubbatee fixetti Simooniin, “Gara tuujuba bishaaniitti achi siqi; qurxummii qabuufis kiyyoo keessan darbadhaa” jedhe.
And as he ceesside to speke, he seide to Symount, Lede thou in to the depthe, and slake youre nettis to take fisch.
5 Simoonis deebisee, “Yaa barsiisaa, nu halkan guutuu akka malee itti dadhabnee waa tokko illee hin qabne. Ani garuu waan ati jetteef kiyyoo nan darbadha” jedhe.
And Symount answeride, and seide to hym, Comaundoure, we traueliden al the nyyt, and token no thing, but in thi word Y schal leye out the net.
6 Isaanis kiyyoo isaanii darbatanii hamma kiyyoon isaanii ciccituu jalqabutti qurxummii akka malee baayʼee qabatan.
And whanne thei hadden do this thing, thei closiden togidir a greet multitude of fischis; and her net was brokun.
7 Kanaafuu akka michoonni isaanii warri bidiruu kaan keessa turan dhufanii isaan gargaaraniif mallattoon waammatan; isaanis dhufanii bidiruu lachuu qurxummiidhaan guutan; bidiruuwwan sunis liqimfamuu jalqaban.
And thei bikenyden to felawis, that weren in anothir boot, that thei schulden come, and helpe hem. And thei camen, and filliden bothe the bootis, so that thei weren almost drenchid.
8 Simoon Phexrosis yommuu waan kana argetti jilba Yesuusitti kufee, “Yaa Gooftaa, ani nama cubbamaa dha; narraa fagaadhu!” jedhe.
And whanne Symount Petir saiy this thing, he felde doun to the knees of Jhesu, and seide, Lord, go fro me, for Y am a synful man.
9 Kunis sababii qurxummiin baayʼeen qabame sun Simʼoonii fi warra isa wajjin turan hunda dinqisiiseef;
For he was on ech side astonyed, and alle that weren with hym, in the takyng of fischis whiche thei token.
10 ilmaan Zabdewoos warri michoota Simoon turan jechuunis Yaaqoobii fi Yohannis akkasuma dinqisiifatan. Yesuusis Simʼooniin, “Hin sodaatin; ati ammaa jalqabdee qabduu namootaa ni taataa” jedhe.
Sotheli in lijk maner James and Joon, the sones of Zebedee, that weren felowis of Symount Petre. And Jhesus seide to Symount, Nyle thou drede; now fro this tyme thou schalt take men.
11 Isaanis bidiruuwwan isaanii gara qarqaraatti ol baasanii waan hunda dhiisanii isa duukaa buʼan.
And whanne the bootis weren led vp to the loond, thei leften alle thingis, and thei sueden hym.
12 Utuu Yesuus magaalaawwan sana keessaa isa tokko keessa jiruu namichi dhagni isaa guutuun lamxaaʼe tokko gara isaa dhufe. Innis yommuu Yesuusin argetti adda isaatiin lafatti gombifamee, “Yaa Gooftaa, yoo fedhii kee taʼe, ati na qulqulleessuu ni dandeessa” jedhee isa kadhate.
And it was don, whanne he was in oon of the citees, lo! a man ful of lepre; and seynge Jhesu felle doun on his face, and preyede hym, and seide, Lord, if thou wolt, thou maist make me clene.
13 Yesuusis harka isaa hiixatee namicha qaqqabee, “Fedhii koo ti; qulqullaaʼi!” jedheen; lamxiin sunis yeruma sana namicha irraa bade.
And Jhesus held forth his hoond, and touchide hym, and seide, Y wole, be thou maad cleene. And anoon the lepre passide awei fro hym.
14 Yesuusis, “Nama tokkotti illee hin himin; garuu dhaqiitii akka isaaniif ragaa taʼuuf lubatti of argisiisi; qulqullaaʼuu keetiifis aarsaawwan Museen ajaje sana dhiʼeessi” jedhee isa ajaje.
And Jhesus comaundide to hym, that he schulde seie to no man; But go, schewe thou thee to a preest, and offre for thi clensyng, as Moises bad, in to witnessyng to hem.
15 Haa taʼuu malee oduun waaʼee isaa ittuma caalee facaʼe; namoonni hedduunis isa dhagaʼuu fi dhukkuba isaanii irraa fayyuuf jedhanii gara isaa dhufaa turan.
And the word walkide aboute the more of hym; and myche puple camen togidere, to here, and to be heelid of her siknessis.
16 Yesuus garuu yeroo baayʼee lafa namni hin jirre dhaqee kadhachaa ture.
And he wente in to desert, and preiede.
17 Gaaf tokko Yesuus utuu barsiisaa jiruu, Fariisonnii fi barsiistonni seeraa warri gandoota Galiilaatii fi Yihuudaa hunda keessaa akkasumas Yerusaalemii dhufan achi tataaʼaa turan. Akka inni dhukkubsattoota fayyisuufis humni Gooftaa isa wajjin ture.
And it was don in oon of the daies, he sat, and tauyte; and there weren Farisees sittynge, and doctouris of the lawe, that camen of eche castel of Galilee, and of Judee, and of Jerusalem; and the vertu of the Lord was to heele sike men.
18 Jarri tokko nama dhagni irratti duʼe tokko sireedhaan baatanii dhufan; isaanis fuula Yesuus dura isa kaaʼuuf jedhanii manatti ol isa galchuu yaalan.
And lo! men beren in a bed a man that was sijk in the palsye, and thei souyten to bere hym in, and sette bifor hym.
19 Sababii baayʼina namaatiifis karaa ittiin ol isa galchan dhabnaan bantii manaatti ol baʼanii qadaada bantii manaa saaqanii walakkaa namootaatiin fuula Yesuus duratti siree isaatiin gad isa buusan.
And thei founden not in what partie thei schulden bere hym in, for the puple, `and thei wenten on the roof, and bi the sclattis thei leeten hym doun with the bed, in to the myddil, bifor Jhesus.
20 Yesuusis yommuu amantii isaanii argetti, “Namichoo, cubbuun kee siif dhiifameera” jedhe.
And whanne Jhesu saiy the feith of hem, he seide, Man, thi synnes ben foryouun to thee.
21 Fariisonnii fi barsiistonni seeraas, “Namichi Waaqa arrabsu kun eenyu? Waaqa tokkicha malee eenyutu cubbuu namaaf dhiisuu dandaʼa?” jedhanii garaa isaaniitti yaaduu jalqaban.
And the scribis and Farisees bigunnen to thenke, seiynge, Who is this, that spekith blasfemyes? who may foryyue synnes, but God aloone?
22 Yesuusis waan isaan yaadaa turan beekee akkana jedhee gaafate; “Isin maaliif garaa keessan keessatti waan kana yaaddu?
And as Jhesus knewe the thouytis of hem, he answeride, and seide to hem, What thenken ye yuele thingis in youre hertes?
23 ‘Cubbuun kee siif dhiifameera’ jechuu moo ‘Kaʼii deemi’ jechuutu salphaa dha?
What is liyter to seie, Synnes ben foryouun to thee, or to seie, Rise vp, and walke?
24 Ani garuu akka Ilmi Namaa cubbuu namaaf dhiisuudhaaf lafa irratti taayitaa qabu akka beektan nan barbaada.” Kanaafuu inni namicha dhagni irratti duʼe sanaan, “Ani sitti nan hima; kaʼi; siree kee fudhadhuutii mana keetti gali” jedhe.
But that ye wite, that mannus sone hath power in erthe to foryyue synnes, he seide to the sijk man in palesie, Y seie to thee, ryse vp, take thi bed, and go in to thin hous.
25 Innis yeruma sana kaʼee fuula isaanii dura dhaabate; waan irra ciisaa tures fudhatee Waaqa jajachaa mana ofii isaatti qajeele.
And anoon he roos vp bifor hem, and took the bed in which he lay, and wente in to his hous, and magnyfiede God.
26 Hundi isaaniis dinqifatanii Waaqa jajan. Sodaadhaanis guutamanii, “Nu harʼa waan takkumaa hin taʼin argine” jedhan.
And greet wondur took alle, and thei magnyfieden God; and thei weren fulfillid with greet drede, and seiden, For we han seyn merueilouse thingis to dai.
27 Ergasii Yesuus achii baʼee qaraxxuu Lewwii jedhamu tokko utuu inni iddoo itti qaraxa walitti qaban taaʼuu arge. Yesuusis, “Na duukaa buʼi” jedheen.
And after these thingis Jhesus wente out, and saiy a pupplican, Leuy bi name, sittynge at the tolbothe. And he seide to hym, Sue thou me;
28 Lewwiinis waan hunda dhiisee kaʼee isa duukaa buʼe.
and whanne he hadde left alle thingis, he roos vp, and suede hym.
29 Lewwiinis mana isaatti cidha guddaa Yesuusiif qopheesse; qaraxxoonnii fi namoonni kaan baayʼeenis isaan wajjin nyaachaa turan.
And Leuy made to hym a greet feeste in his hous; and ther was a greet cumpanye of pupplicans, and of othere that weren with hem, sittynge at the mete.
30 Fariisonnii fi Barsiistonni seeraa kanneen garee isaanii taʼan garuu, “Isin maaliif qaraxxootaa fi cubbamoota wajjin nyaattanii dhugdu?” jedhanii barattoota isaatti guunguman.
And Farisees and the scribis of hem grutchiden, and seiden to hise disciplis, Whi eten ye and drynken with pupplicans and synful men?
31 Yesuus immoo deebisee akkana isaaniin jedhe; “Ogeessi fayyaa tokko warra dhukkubsataniif malee warra fayyaa qabaniif hin barbaachisu.
And Jhesus answeride, and seide to hem, Thei that ben hoole han no nede to a leche, but thei that ben sijke;
32 Ani cubbamoota gara qalbii jijjiirrannaatti waamuufin dhufe malee qajeeltota waamuuf hin dhufne.”
for Y cam not to clepe iuste men, but synful men to penaunce.
33 Isaanis, “Barattoonni Yohannis yeroo baayʼee ni soomu; ni kadhatus; barattoonni Fariisotaas akkasuma godhu; barattoonni kee garuu ni nyaatu; ni dhugus” jedhaniin.
And thei seiden to hym, Whi the disciplis of Joon fasten ofte, and maken preieris, also and of Farisees, but thine eten and drynken?
34 Yesuus immoo akkana jedhee deebise; “Isin utuu inni isaan wajjin jiruu michoota misirrichaa soomsisuu ni dandeessuu?
To whiche he seide, Whether ye moun make the sones of the spouse to faste, while the spouse is with hem?
35 Garuu yeroon itti misirrichi isaan biraa fudhatamu ni dhufa; isaanis yeroo sana ni soomu.”
But daies schulen come, whanne the spouse schal be takun a wei fro hem, and thanne thei schulen faste in tho daies.
36 Innis akkana jedhee fakkeenya kana isaanitti hime; “Namni uffata moofaa erbuuf jedhee huccuu uffata haaraa tarsaasu tokko iyyuu hin jiru. Yoo kun godhame, isaan uffata haaraa sana tarsaasaniiru; erbeen haaraan sunis uffata moofaa wajjin wal hin fudhatu.
And he seide to hem also a liknesse; For no man takith a pece fro a newe cloth, and puttith it in to an oold clothing; ellis bothe he brekith the newe, and the pece of the newe acordith not to the elde.
37 Namni daadhii wayinii haaraaqalqalloo moofaatti naqu tokko iyyuu hin jiru. Yoo itti naqe immoo daadhiin haaraan sun qalqalloo sana ni dhoosa; daadhiin sun ni dhangalaʼa; qalqallichis horoomaa baʼa.
And no man puttith newe wyne in to oolde botels; ellis the newe wyn schal breke the botels, and the wyn schal be sched out, and the botels schulen perische.
38 Qooda kanaa daadhiin wayinii haaraan qalqalloo daadhii wayinii haaraatti naqamuu qaba.
But newe wyne owith to be put in to newe botels, and bothe ben kept.
39 Namni kam iyyuu erga daadhii wayinii kan goge dhugee booddee daadhii wayinii haaraa hin barbaadu; isaan, ‘Daadhii wayinii kan goge wayya’ jedhuutii.”
And no man drynkynge the elde, wole anoon the newe; for he seith, The olde is the betere.
