1 Zedeqiyaa yeroo mootii taʼetti nama umuriin isaa waggaa digdamii tokkoo ture; innis Yerusaalem keessa taaʼee waggaa kudha tokko bulche. Maqaan haadha isaa Hamuutaal ture; isheenis intala Ermiyaas kan magaalaa Libnaatii dhufte turte.
One and twenty years was Zedekiah old when he became king, and eleven years did he reign in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Chamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
2 Innis akkuma Yehooyaaqiim hojjete sana, fuula Waaqayyoo duratti waan hamaa ni hojjete.
And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord, in accordance with all that Jehoyakim had done.
3 Wanni kun hundi sababii dheekkamsa Waaqayyootiif Yerusaalemii fi Yihuudaa irra gaʼe; dhuma irrattis inni fuula isaa duraa isaan balleesse. Zedeqiyaa mooticha Baabilonitti fincile.
For through the anger of the Lord it came to pass against Jerusalem and Judah, till he had cast them out of his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.
4 Bara mootummaa Zedeqiyaa keessa waggaa saglaffaatti, bultii kurnaffaa jiʼa kurnaffaatti Nebukadnezar mootiin Baabilon guutummaa loltoota isaa wajjin Yerusaalemitti duule; isaanis magaalattiin ala qubatanii naannoo ishee hundatti tuullaa biyyoo marsan.
And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and they encamped against it, and built against it works of attack round about.
5 Magaalaan sunis hamma waggaa kudha tokkoffaa bara Zedeqiyaa Mootichaatti akkuma marfamtetti turte.
So the city was placed in a state of siege until the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.
6 Bultii saglaffaa jiʼa afuraffaatti, magaalattii keessatti beelli akka malee hammaatee namni waan nyaatu tokko illee dhabe.
And in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, when the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land:
7 Ergasii dallaan magaalattii cabsamee loltoonni hundinuus baʼanii baqatan. Isaanis utuma Baabilononni magaalaa sana marsanii jiranuu karaa karra dallaa iddoo biqiltuu mootichaa bira jiru lamaan gidduu baasu sanaatiin halkaniin baʼanii baqatan. Isaanis Arabbaatti baqatan;
The city was broken in, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, which was near the king's garden; [while the Chaldeans were round about the city; ] and they went by the way of the plain.
8 loltoonni Baabilon garuu Zedeqiyaa Mooticha ariʼanii dirree Yerikoo irratti isa qaqqaban; loltoonni isaa hundis isa irraa gargar baʼanii bibittinnaaʼanii turan;
But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and they overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and all his army was scattered from him.
9 innis ni qabame. Gara mootii Baabilonitti Riiblaa biyya Hamaati keessaatti geeffame. Achittis itti murame.
And they caught the king, and they brought him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Chamath: and he called him to account.
10 Mootiin Baabilonis Riiblaatti ijuma isaa duratti ilmaan Zedeqiyaa gorraʼe; qondaaltota Yihuudaa hundas fixe.
And the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: and also all the princes of Judah did he slaughter in Riblah.
11 Innis ergasii Zedeqiyaa keessaa ija isaa baasee foncaa naasiitiin hidhee Baabilonitti isa geesse; hamma gaafa inni duʼuuttis manuma hidhaa keessa isa tursiise.
And the eyes of Zedekiah did he blind; and the king of Babylon bound him with brazen fetters, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in the ward-house till the day of his death.
12 Bara mootummaa Nebukadnezar mooticha Baabilon keessa waggaa kudha saglaffaatti, bultii kurnaffaa jiʼa shanaffaatti Nebuzaradaan ajajaan eegumsa mootummaa inni mootii Baabilon tajaajilu sun gara Yerusaalem dhufe.
And in the fifth month, on the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, the captain of the guard, [who] served the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem.
13 Innis mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyootti, masaraa mootummaattii fi manneen Yerusaalem hundatti ibidda qabsiise; manneen gurguddaa hundas ni gube.
And he burnt the house of the Lord, and the king's house: and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, did he burn with fire:
14 Loltoonni Baabilon kanneen ajajaa eegumsa mootummaa jala turan hundi dallaawwan naannoo Yerusaalem turan hunda diigan.
And all the walls of Jerusalem round about did all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, pull down.
15 Nebuzaradaan ajajaan eegumsaa sun namoota hiyyeeyyii tokko tokkoo fi warra magaalaa keessatti hafan, warra ogummaa harkaa qabanii fi warra baqatanii mootii Baabilonitti kooluu galan boojiʼee fudhate.
And certain of the poorest of the people, and the residue of the people that had been left in the city, and the deserters, that had run away to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry away into exile.
16 Nebuzaradaan garuu hiyyeeyyii biyyattii warra hafan akka wayinii kunuunsanii fi lafa qotaniif achitti dhiise.
But certain of the poorest of the land did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard leave for vine-dressers and for husbandmen.
17 Baabilononni sun utubaawwan naasii, baattuuwwan iddoodhaa sochoʼanii fi Gaanii naasii irraa hojjetamee mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyoo keessa ture caccabsanii naasii sana hunda immoo Baabilonitti geessan.
Also the pillars of copper that were in the house of the Lord, and the bases, and the copper sea that was in the house of the Lord, did the Chaldeans break, and they carried off all their copper to Babylon.
18 Akkasumas okkoteewwan, waan ittiin daaraa hammaaran, waan ittiin ibsaa irraa daaraa dhadhaʼan, waciitiiwwan ittiin dhiiga facaasan, caabiiwwanii fi miʼoota naasii irraa hojjetaman kanneen tajaajila mana qulqullummaatiif oolan hunda fudhatan.
And the pots, and the shovels, and the knives, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of copper wherewith they used to perform the service, did they take away.
19 Ajajaan eegumsaa sunis miʼoota warqee qulqulluu fi meetii irraa hojjetaman hunda jechuunis caabii dhooqaa, girgiraawwan, waciitiiwwan ittiin dhiiga facaasan, okkoteewwan, baattuuwwan ibsaa, caabiiwwanii fi waciitiiwwan ittiin dhibaafatan fudhatee deeme.
And the basins, and the censers, and the bowls, and the pots, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the purifying-tubes: of what was of gold the gold, and of what was of silver the silver, did the captain of the guard take away.
20 Ulfinni naasii kan Solomoon Mootichi ittiin utubaawwan lamaan, Gaanii fi jiboota kudha lamaan isa jala jiranii fi baattuuwwan iddoodhaa sochoʼaniin mana qulqullummaa Waaqayyootiif hojjetee ture waan madaalliin madaaluu dandaʼuu oli turan.
The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve copper oxen that served instead of the bases, which king Solomon had made for the house of the Lord: the copper of all these vessels could not be weighed.
21 Tokkoon tokkoon utubaa sanaa dhundhuma kudha saddeet ol dheeratee marsaan isaa immoo dhundhuma kudha lama ture; yabbinni isaa quba afur taʼee keessi isaas banaa ture.
And as regardeth the pillars, eighteen cubits was the height of each one pillar; and a thread of twelve cubits would compass it; and its thickness was four fingers: it was hollow.
22 Guutuun naasii kan utubaa tokko irraas dhundhuma shan ol dheeratee naannoon isaa guutuun sibiila wal keessa loofamee tolfamee fi roomaanii naasiitiin miidhagfamee ture. Utubaan kaanis roomaanii naasii wajjin kanuma fakkaata ture.
And a capital was upon it of copper; and the height of the one capital was five cubits, with network and pomegranates upon the capital round about, all of copper. And the like was the case with the second pillar and the pomegranates.
23 Roomaanoonni bitaa mirgaan turan sagaltamii sagal turan; walumatti faaya naannoo utubichaa gubbaan jiru wajjin roomanoota dhibba tokkootu ture.
And the pomegranates were ninety and six on every side: all the pomegranates upon the network were one hundred round about.
24 Ajajaan eegumsaa sun Seraayaa lubicha hangafa, Sefaaniyaa lubicha Sadarkaan isatti aanuu fi eegdota balbalaa sadan hidhee fuudhee deeme.
And the captain of the guard took Serayah the chief priest, and Zephanyah the priest second in rank, and the three door-keepers;
25 Warra amma illee magaalaa keessatti hafan keessaa ajajaa loltootaatii fi gorsitoota mootii torba fudhate. Akkasumas barreessaa qondaala ol aanaa ture kan saba keessaa loltummaaf namoota filatu sanaa fi namoota magaalaa keessatti argaman jaatama fudhate.
And out of the city he took a certain court-officer, who had the supervision of the men of war: and seven men of those that had free access to the kings presence, who were found in the city; and the scribe of the chief of the army, who ordered to the army the people of the land; and sixty men of the people of the land, that were found in the midst of the city;
26 Nebuzaradaan ajajaan sun hunda isaanii guuree Riiblaatti gara mooticha Baabilonitti geesse.
And Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took them, and led them away unto the king of Babylon to Riblah.
27 Mootichis achuma Riiblaat biyya Hamaati keessatti isaan ni fixe. Yihuudaanis akkasiin boojiʼamee biyya isheetii baate.
And the king of Babylon smote them, and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Chamath. Thus Judah was carried away into exile out of his own country.
28 Baayʼinni namoota Nebukadnezar boojuudhaan fudhatee kanaa dha: Waggaa torbaffaa keessa Yihuudoota 3,023;
This is the people whom Nebuchadrezzar carried away into exile: in the seventh year, three thousand and twenty and three Jews;
29 bara Nebukadnezar keessa waggaa kudha saddeettaffaatti, Yerusaalemii namoota 832;
In the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar from Jerusalem, eight hundred thirty and two persons;
30 waggaa digdamii sadaffaa isaa keessa Yihuudoonni 745, Nebuzaradaan ajajaa eegumsaa sanaan boojuudhaan fudhataman. Isaanis walumatti namoota 4,600 turan.
In the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar, did Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carry away into exile of the Jews seven hundred forty and five persons; all the persons were four thousand and six hundred.
31 Yehooyaakiin mootiin Yihuudaa boojiʼamee waggaa soddomii torbaffaa isaatti, Eewiil Marodaak mootii Baabilon taʼe; innis wagguma sana keessa bultii digdamii shanaffaa jiʼa kudha lammaffaatti Yehooyaakiin mooticha Yihuudaa sana mana hidhaatii gad dhiisee bilisa isa baase.
And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the exile of Jehoyachin the king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the five and twentieth day of the month that Evil-merodach the king of Babylon in the [first] year of his reign lifted up the head of Jehoyachin the king of Judah, and brought him forth out of the prison-house;
32 Afaan tolaadhaanis isatti dubbatee barcuma ulfinaa kan barcuma mootota isa wajjin Baabilon keessa turan kaanii caalu kenneef.
And he spoke kindly with him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon,
33 Kanaafuu Yehooyaakiin uffata isaa kan mana hidhaatti uffachaa ture sana of irraa baasee bara jireenya isaa guutuu yeroo hunda maaddii mootichaa irraa nyaate.
And he changed his prison-garments: and he ate bread before him continually all the days of his life.
34 Mootiin Baabilonis hamma inni lubbuudhaan jiraatetti guyyuma guyyaadhaan waan isaaf barbaachisu Yehooyaakiiniif kennaa ture.
And his allowance was a continual allowance given him by the king, the necessary ration for the day on its day, until the day of his death, all the days of his life.
